As a web copywriter working closely with a project manager and designers, Slack is the communication hub that keeps everything flowing. Instead of endless email chains, we have quick conversations, share feedback instantly, and keep projects moving without delays.
I love how easy it is to jump into focused discussions. Channels help keep everything organized — from content approvals to creative brainstorming — and I can quickly scan what’s relevant to me. File sharing is super smooth too, especially when we’re reviewing drafts or updating campaign assets.
Slack is also great for staying connected while working remotely. Little things like emojis, GIFs, and message reactions make communication feel more human and less like another work task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As helpful as Slack is, there are a few pain points:
Notifications can get overwhelming. If multiple channels get active at once, it’s easy to feel like you’re falling behind.
Important messages sometimes disappear in the noise. Threads help — but only if everyone remembers to use them.
Search isn’t always perfect. Trying to find that “one message with the link” from weeks ago can be frustrating.
Can feel distracting. When chats pop constantly while I'm writing, it can break my focus fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
