One moment silence. On the other music.
The initial premise of this work was the moment of the first step.
Is the first note correct? Is the first story true? Is the first improvisation fair?
Doubts that disappear immediately because the songs emancipate themselves. grow up quickly and escape our control. A control that never existed in the first place.
This work was written in two weeks at the beginning of the pandemic, at a time when the world stopped and I walked. It is the result of my partnership with five majestic musicians who shared my vision and who shone it with their light. It is the result of dawns, of stages, of conversations, of a life steeped in music.
One moment a blank page. On the other a drip of paint fell.
Num momento nada. No outro tudo. Todas as possibilidades, todas as viagens, todas as
versões da realidade.
Num momento silêncio. No outro música.
A premissa inicial deste trabalho foi o momento do primeiro passo.
A primeira nota é a correcta? A primeira história é a verdadeira? O primeiro improviso é o justo?
Dúvidas que se esfumam imediatamente porque as músicas emancipam-se. Crescem rapidamente e fogem do nosso controlo. Um controlo que nunca existe.
Este trabalho foi escrito em duas semanas no inicio da pandemia, numa altura em que o mundo
parou e eu andei. É resultado da minha parceria com cinco músicos majestosos que
partilharam a minha visão e que a encandearam com a sua luz. É o resultado de madrugadas,
de palcos, de conversas, de uma vida cravada na música.
Num momento uma página em branco. No outro uma pinga de tinta caiu.
