1/144 VC-10 Multirole Aircraft conversions by Freightdog

1/144 VC-10 Multirole Aircraft conversions by Freightdog

Between 1959 and 1961 Vickers investigated in detail various military applications of the VC10 including transport, tanker, bomber and ALBM carrier (or Poffler).

This set allows you to convert the Roden 1/144 Super VC10 base kit (not included - http://www.roden.eu/HTML/313.htm ), into the the original tanker or transport design, with H2S nose radar, wing tip and offset fuselage refuelling points.

With the initial release, also included are 26decals screen printed sheet STS44229 which covers in service RAF C1/C1K schemes which can be adapted for the what-if project version.

Detailed instructions are included on how to shorten the rear fuselage to standard VC10 length as per original proposal.

Illustration shows original master parts.

1/144 Attacker Bomber Collection - F-Toys
A 'new' release from F-Toys, incorporating some WWII Japanese favourites with "new tooling" and strangely a  Korean War Era aircraft in US and French markings, resulting in a strange mix of aircraft.

Its not clear how this set is arrived at even by recent standards, why they didn't do a complete full house of Japanese items for the domestic market, or go for a more varied set of twin engined attacking aircraft/medium bombers we shall never know!?

1/144 Vickers Wellington Mk.X - Amercom

1/144 Vickers Wellington - Amercom
The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine, long range medium bomber designed in the mid-1930s at Brooklands in Weybridge, Surrey, by Vickers-Armstrongs' Chief Designer, R. K. Pierson. It was widely used as a night bomber in the early years of the Second World War, before being displaced as a bomber by the larger four-engine "heavies" such as the Avro Lancaster. The Wellington continued to serve throughout the war in other duties, particularly as an anti-submarine aircraft. It was the only British bomber to be produced for the entire duration of the war.

Available 20 July 2012
As usual with these Amercom releases, outside of Poland and the Czech Republic the best approach to look on ebay.

The only problem for the avid collector is that it appears in the same markings as the IXO/ALTAYA Wellington of Coastal Command ( see here ), with the exception of a Polish insignia (as seen above)
