1/144 JAS-39C Gripen - Model CZ

1/144 JAS-39C Gripen - Model CZ

I have not heard of this company before, but they do seem to make Gripens a speciality although previously in other scales.

It looks like this comes as an injected kit, with clear injected canopy and set of lo-viz decals with special flight decals  http://air-attack.com/images/single/1005/10000-flight-hours-with-Czech-Gripen.html

The price is a bargain at 170 Kopeks (@6GBP) this might be reflected in some of the issues?

Should you want additional schemes, the Mark-1/4+ publications decal and book set appears to be available still from Hannants etc

1/144 SAAB J-32 "Lansen" - Miniwing.cz

 1/144 SAAB J-21 "Lansen" - Miniwing.cz

SAAB 32 Lansen , looks particuluary sleek and exciting and would look good against the Hawker Hunter that also served with the Swedish. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_Lansen

This aircraft was designed to replace the old Turboprop aircraft in service with the Swedish airforce (Flygvapnet). Swedish Air Force requirements for the P1150 were demanding: the aircraft had to be able to attack anywhere along Sweden's 1,245 miles (2000 km) of coastline within one hour of launch from a central location. It had to be capable of being launched in any weather, day or night. Special attention was to be paid to integrating the electronics and weapons systems to create the equivalent of today's weapons systems approach to combat aircraft design. The aircraft was to be armed with four 20 mm cannons, rockets, bombs and/or a new anti-ship missile being developed, the Rb 04. The design team created a sleek airframe with clean lines powered by a license-built Rolls-Royce Avon Series 100

The kit conforms to the Miniwing signature format and feel being cleanly cast and with well defined panel lines, although a little care will be required joining the fuselage halves.

The main kits comprise of  24 resin components and the new style crystal clear resin canopy, also on this kit there is a fret of 5 Photo Etched parts for added detailing.
Assembly and painting instructions are also included.

Decals are provided by - Y-Kraft of Japan, for the following options:

-    Swedish Air Force - Flygflottilj F1 (Green Scheme)
-  Swedish Air Force - Flygflottilj F17 (Bare Metal)
Overall another nice Swedish bird from the Cold War Period.

The AVRO CF-100 'Canuck', another great fighter from the Canadian stables before the American mega corporations squeezed the life from them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CF-100

In the early 1950s, Canada needed an all-weather interceptor (fighter) able to patrol the vast areas of Canada's north and operate in all weather conditions. The two-seat fighter crewed by a pilot and navigator, was designed with two powerful engines and an advanced radar and fire control system housed in its nose that enabled it to fly in all-weather or night conditions.Design of the XC-100 to meet a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) specification for an all-weather fighter was initiated at Avro Canada in October 1946. Chief Engineer Edgar Atkin's work on the CF-100 was subsequently passed to John Frost formerly of de Havilland who, along with Avro's Chief Aerodynamacist Jim Chamberlin, reworked the original fuselage design.

de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, well a man can never have to much of a good thing...
An interesting choice given its military service, however it should mean some interesting decal options? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Havilland_Canada_DHC-2_Beaver

The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a single-engined, high-wing, propeller-driven, STOL aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada, primarily known as a bush plane. It is used for cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application (crop dusting and aerial topdressing), and has been widely adopted by armed forces as a utility aircraft. The United States Army purchased several hundred; nine DHC-2s are still in service with the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol) for search and rescue. A Royal New Zealand Air Force Beaver supported Sir Edmund Hillary's expedition to the South Pole.

1/144 J-35F SAAB Drakken Pit- Road

Pit Road as suspected are to release thier J-35F Drakken Kits and a "built" item - although it still looks fairly kit like to me. It is more akin to the the gashopon models in so much that it is prepainted and required some assembley including decals adding!

It would appear wither option comes with the same set of decals for Swedish schemas, so there will be some spares for future use. You could of course by the Kit version wich comes with Austrain decals (only)

.
I hope F-toys are crying in thier beds tonight?
How great does this Platz kit look?
Unless it is the Euro Jets Special (but not painted as good) as F-Toys and Platz often collaborate, so go figure?
.
The price would indicate it a completed, built and painted version
and at least two version (although the SN03, may indicate 3x?)
.
Available: December 2009
Price: 2,500 Yen 15GBP / 25USD
