1/144 German Dicker Max 10.5cm SPG - PanzerDepot

A new production, a German experimental vehicle designed to destroy enemy armour and bunkers. It was used actively in the early stages of invasion of Russia during 'Operation Barbaross' but was retired by late 1941. whilst it was proven to be a useful tool that was highly effective at penetrating fortifications and heavy Soviet armour. It was less suited to the tactics of 'blitzkrieg' to the more restricted movement of the gun carriage and the traverse of the main weapon.

1/144 SdKfz 234/2 + 234/1 Turret - Panzerdepot

This months release from Panzer Depot is the SdKfz.234/2 Puma plus 234/1 Turret.
This means you have two display options, or you coudl just buy two of each!?

The detail looks of on the pcitures so far, the 234/1 is obviously the interesting option here as it is normally seen on smaller skdfz such as the 222 and similar.

Other Sdkfz 234 are available, but with this version the resin casting and painting is where the extra money is going.

Panzer Depot have issued this months models and have produced a nice classic piece such as the Valentine and the more unusual Bishop!

The Valentine is well known to history buffs and wargamers but overlooked on the sivler screen!
However a interesting and widespread tank, that saw action from early in the war until the final days!

The Bishop is a more unusal beast, and one I wasnt aware of until quite recently - who says modelling and collecting teaches you nothing!.

An interesting adaptation of the Valentine, The Bishop (no its not a dalek!) was an attempt was made to mount the classic 25Pdr Field Gun onto a mobile chassis! Well, lets just say it would not make the "Top 10" in AFV Advancements!
