Texas Horse Farm

6x6 watercolor on paper done today, a quick colored pencil sketch in Master's 80 lb/Daniel Smith paints. From two different refs, I created an imaginary Texas horse farm. The viewer has to imagine there are other horses around maybe in the pasture or other side of the red barn. COPYRIGHT 2024 Kay Smith

Ready to Ride

15x11 watercolor and black India ink on Canson 140 lb cold press paper, done yesterday. My total time was 1 hour and it was drawn using a General's carpenter pencil, flat lead. I eliminated other figures and horses in the background, and strived for a loose splashy and spontaneous look.  This is featured in WetCanvas weekend drawing event/photo ref courtesy Gail Bowers.
