November
11x15 watercolor scene of a muddy country road in November. Fall leaves have been disappearing just as the warm days have; recent rains add to the ambience of autumn with just a hint of colder weather to come.

Chickadee Season
9x12 watercolor on Canson 140 lb cold press paper completed this afternoon. I've used the same bird sketch from a few days ago and flipped it, then its coloring to that of a black-capped chickadee. We see plenty of them when in New Mexico and this fellow is perched on some type of plant I can't identify. Autumn leaves in orange, rust and red complete the natural wildlife. Splatters added when dry.
