Colander for #InkTober

5.5x8.5 ink on Masters sketchbook done for day 21 of #InkTober which was Sunday.  This metal antique colander is a strainer and a drainer.  'Drain' was the prompt for that day, and this was sketched from life in studio.  Its other handle is missing and was purchased on eBay to be used in still life set ups.

If you look closely you can see these lines that I decided to include within the composition of these fresh blueberries. I used a paper doily as a background stencil for a suggestion of lace; this creates repetition of the round holes in the old colander/strainer.
