Newton's Kitchen Card by Samantha Mann

All you KNEAD is Love! 

Know someone who loves to bake? This adorable kitchen themed card by Samantha would be perfect to send them for Valentine's Day!

This sweet card features two kitties helping create some dough from our Newton's Kitchen Stamp Set. She colored both the kitties in shades of gray and added fun details, like pink cheeks! She also added the chef's hat to the kitty on top! So cute! She cut the images out using the coordinating Newton's Kitchen Die Set. 

For her background she used our Gingham Stencil with shades of blue distress inks to create a fun kitchen themed look. Doesn't it remind you of a tablecloth or napkin? Then she layered the kitties on top and added the sentient "All you KNEAD is love" embossed in white on a black speech bubble from our Speech Bubbles Die Set. 

This card would be great for Valentine's Day or to send smiles any time of year!

Hello Everyone! This is Jennifer, owner of Newton's Nook Designs, and I couldn't resist playing along! I created two fun cards using the Therm O Web goodies today! First up is a card using our new cycling friends! I created a fun scene for them to cycle by using Therm O Web products! I added foil to the trees and created a die cut grassy area using flock sheets!

For my second card today I created an amazing firework background using rainbow foil from Therm O Web! When I saw this rainbow foil I knew it would go perfectly with our Fireworks Stencil! I used the Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the stencil and then adhered the foil with a heat laminator. So pretty! It's the perfect backdrop for the image of the newlyweds in the car from our recent release! A bit of vellum and the sentiment give it the perfect finishing touch! I just love how this turned out! Halloween Inspiration Week - Day 2 - Tatiana & Amanda

This week Newton's Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week! 

All week the NND Design Team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Today we are featuring cute and spooky projects by Tatiana Trafimovich and Amanda Wilcox

Tatiana created this amazing Halloween kitten card!

She used created a fun distress inked circle with fun bright purples and oranges. Then she layered the kitten peeking out of the pumpkin from our Trick or Treat Kittens Stamp Set over the top. She colored the image in fun bright colors and added additional pieces of candy around the bottom and bats from the Count Newton Stamp Set in the sky! The die cut sentiment "Trick or Treat" is from our Halloween Trio Die Set. 

For a fun finishing touch, everything has fun white paint splatters added over it too!

 Amanda a set of cute little Halloween treat pockets! 

She created two little pockets to hold Halloween candy bars (to see direction ons how she folded them up, visit her blog, Twiddler's Nook today)! She used our Flying Bats Stencil and Gingham Stencil to add patterns to the treat holders. Then she colored the cute kittens from our Trick or Treat Kittens Stamp Set, adding bits of sparkle to them!

She cut out circles using our Circle Frames Die Set to cut out scalloped circles to put behind the kittens and smaller black circles to hold the sentiments. 

What a great way to make a Halloween treat special!

Best Witches Card by Larissa Heskett

Best Witches! 

Today we are sharing an incredible card by Larissa that is sure to put you in the mood for some Halloween treats! 

For her focal image, she used the kitten in a jack-o-lantern from our Trick or Treat Kittens Stamp Set. She colored this image with gorgeous bright colors and added white gel pen details. She also colored some extra little candy images to cluster around it. The images were cut out using the coordinating Trick or Treat Kittens Die Set. 

Next, she created a fun starry background using our Cascading Stars Stencil onto a circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. She also added the "Best Witches" sentiment from our new Brooms & Boos Stamp Set in another circle. 

Let's talk about that gorgeous background too! She used our Gingham Stencil not once, but twice! She stenciled the pattern once in orange and once in purple, moving it over so that the squares lined up next to each other and the stripes overlapped. So cool! Then she added even more fun by using one of the layers of circles from our two piece Bokeh Stencil Set with a glitter gel over the top! Wow!

What an incredible way to send a Happy Halloween wish!

Farm Themed Baby Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Welcome Little Boy!

Today Ellen has created a wonderful farm themed card to welcome a baby boy! For this card she features several of our farm themed sets together to create an adorable scene! For the farm friends she uses the pig from our Oink Stamp Set, the lamb from our Baa Stamp Set and the chick from our Cluck Stamp Set. She also uses the hay bale and barn from our Moo Stamp Set to set the scene. All the images were cut out with their coordinating die sets (find them all in our farm category). 

She used our Circle Frames Die Set to create the circle and scalloped circle that frames the scene. She also used our Cloudy Sky Stencil and Land Borders Die Set to complete the scene. 

To make this into a baby card she adds the sentiment "welcome little boy" by combining words from our Loveable Laundry Stamp Set. The word "welcome" was added to a banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. Our Gingham Stencil on the background with yellow ink really adds to the sweet baby theme!

How to create this card:

Below we have some instructions from Ellen on how to create this card.

1. (left photo) Using Distress Ink and the Gingham Stencil I made the base of the card..
   
   
2. (center photo) I created a scene in the biggest frame from Circle Frames Die Set. I started with the grass and the hill. This was created with the Land Borders Die Set. I colored these borders with Distress Ink. For the sandy hill I also sprinkled brown, white and water splatters on top. The clouds were created with the Cloudy Sky Stencil and white glitter gel from Therm O Web.
   
   
3. (right photo) The last step was to color the images with Copic Markers and then assemble it all together.

Happy Valentine's Day Card by January Guest Designer Tricia Barber

Hey there!  It's Tricia here with you today to share a Valentine's Day card using the Love Owl-ways stamp set.   

I decided to make a slimline card and started with a panel of pink cardstock that is 3.5 inches by 7.75 inches. I used the Gingham Stencil and embossed it with my die cutting machine onto the pink panel leaving about 2.5 inch space at the top. I then shifted the stencil over a row of the gingham and ink blended with some light pink ink. This added some more dimension to the panel and made it pop up a little more from the card. You can see it more in the photo below.

I stamped three of the owl images and some hearts from the Love Owl-ways Stamp Set and then colored with my Copic markers. I trimmed them down and then added to the card panel. These owls are just adorable!

I added a die cut scalloped panel and heart to the top of the card. I stamped a sentiment from the Love Owl-ways Stamp Set in hot pink ink. To finish off the card I added some clear sparkle and some highlights with a white gel pen. This card will fit perfectly into a business size envelope! The finished size is 3.75 inches by 8 inches.
