All You Need is Love and Chocolate!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, Diane is getting ready to send some love & chocolate on this beautiful card! 

This yummy card features our Charming Hearts Frame Die and our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set

The frame filled with hearts sets the perfect backdrop for all those yummy chocolates!

She cut the frame die out three times, in white and two shades of pink, and combined the pieces to create one background. The other pieces could be combined to create additional cards so it's a great way to use this die set!

Once the background was completed she added the sentiment "All you need is Love & Chocolate" along with some yummy chocolates from our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set! So delicious!

This fun heart background could be combined with so many sets! It's the perfect way to create custom valentine cards and more!

Sweet Chocolate Card by Farhana Sarker

You make life sweeter!

Today we are satisfying our sweet tooth with this yummy card by Farhana!

For her card she features the tasty chocolates from our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set. She stamped the chocolates multiple times and colored them with copic markers. She also added accents with a white gel pen for an extra fun touch.  She then fussy cut the images out by hand. (If you don't like to fussy cut, you could use the coordinating Love & Chocolate Die Set to cut your images out.)

For her card she started with a white card base and ink blended a pink strip through the center. She faded out the pink to have soft edges and added little bits of black paint splatter for some fun texture. She stamped the sentiment "You make life sweeter" from the Love & Chocolate Stamp Set below the pink area. Then she lined all the chocolates up in a row through the center of the card, popping some up above others to give the card a bit of dimension.  She also added in some heart shaped embellishments for a fun finishing touch.

This yummy card would make a perfect Valentine but could also be used any time of year, especially to give to a chocolate lover!

You Make Life Sweeter!

Today Maria has created a card that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

This tasty creation features macarons from our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set. She colored them in fun bright pastels and cut them out using the coordinating Love & Chocolate Die Set. They definitely look yummy enough to eat!

Next, she used a white card base and added sparkly stars across the top using glitter paste with our Starfield Stencil. Across the card base she added two strips of patterned paper from our new Love & Chocolate Paper Pad. The paper with the macarons matches the stamp perfectly!   

For a finishing touch she added the sentiment, "You make life sweeter", also from the  Love & Chocolate Stamp Set. She embossed the sentiment onto a pink banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She also used a white gel pen to add fun details to the banner.

Love & Chocolate Card by April Guest Designer Mugdha Gujarathi

Hello Crafty Friends,

Mugdha here, I am back with another fun card to share with you all. I love chocolates and Ice cream a lot and when I saw this cute stamp called Love & Chocolate, I fell in love with it. My card for today features the same stamp set.

Let's have a look at my card:

I started with Stamping those delicious chocolates and sweets on a watercolor paper and colored them using Zigs real brush pens. I then fussy cut all the images. I die cut out a heart out of pink cardstock and stamped the sentiment onto it which is also from the Love & Chocolate Stamp Set.

I adhered the heart die cut on a white card panel with Foam adhesive tape and then started arranging my Fussy cut images around it. For dimension, I adhered some images using foam dots and some with glue. I also added a few enamel dots and lastly, adhered the entire panel on a brown folded card base.

Cheers for You Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Cheers For You!

Today Ellen is sharing a fun celebratory card using our Newton Celebrates Stamp Set. Although we shared many cards over New Year's Eve using this stamp set, she wanted to show how you can use this card for any celebration throughout the year!

For her card today, she colored the kitty in the martini glass from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set using copic markers. She added such fun patterns to the fur and sweet pink cheeks too! The image was cut out using the coordinating Newton Celebrates Die Set. She also colored a chocolate from the Love & Chocolate Stamp Set and some bubbles and confetti from the Newton's New Year Stamp Set. She used the coordinating Love & Chocolate Die Set and Newton's New Year Die Set to cut these out. 

For the card base, she created a slimline card using our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set to give the pink panel a fun scalloped edge. Then she added to the celebration theme by using our Bubbly Stencil with orange and yellow distress inks and layering that on top of the scalloped frame. 

To finish out the card, she used the word "cheers" on the top, cut out using our Cocktail Mixer Die Set from pink glitter paper. The "for you" was stamped from our Newton Celebrates Stamp Set and embossed in white.

Love You More than Treats Card and a Farewell to Andrea Shell

Puppy Treats & a Farewell to Andrea!

Today Andrea is sharing a beautiful French themed puppy card! 

She features the cute french bulldog from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set, surrounded by macarons. She did some lovely coloring on the puppy, giving him a fun red and blue outfit, complete with a French beret! Then she used creative masking to surround this cute french pup with a whole stack of macarons using our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set. She stamped them in light colored ink, layering and masking a large stack of them them around the puppy. She colored the macarons using the no-line coloring technique to give them soft edges! They look so gorgeous, and good enough to eat!  

She also added the sentiment "love you more than treats" over the top from our Say Woof Stamp Set. The whole scene is framed with a scalloped edge that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. What a lovely French inspired card! 

I am sad to say that this project marks the LAST post for Andrea Shell as part of our Design Team at Newton's Nook Designs! We have truly enjoyed having Andrea on our team for TWO incredible years! She also inspired us before that as a previous member of our Inky Paws Challenge Team. Andrea has inspired us with her creative cards and beautiful coloring skills on every project! We have loved every minute! We are so sad to see her go but we wish her the very best as she continues to grow in her creative journey. You Make Life Sweeter!

Today we are sharing a card by Maria that will make your day sweeter! For this adorable card Maria used  our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set to create a whole row of chocolate dipped strawberries. She colored the strawberries and cut them out using the coordinating Love & Chocolate Die Set to add them onto her card. Above the berries she stamped the sentiment "You make life sweeter." She added some pink checkered paper a pretty bow along the top of the card (from another brand) to add even more sweetness to this yummy card. 

This card would be so perfect for sending smiles to a sweet friend for Valentine's Day or anytime of year!

Happy Birthday Macaroon Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Macaroons for a birthday treat!

Today we have a birthday card by Tatiana that will tickle your sweet tooth! For her card today she created a whole stack of macaroons using our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set. She colored them in a rainbow of colors and cut them out using the coordinating Love & Chocolate Die Set. She stacked the images in a tall stack and added some twine around it! So cute!

For the background of this card she chose a kraft cardstock and added the Happy Birthday message up the side in black. She used the "Happy" from the Simply Seasonal Stamp Set and the "birthday" is from our It's a Plan Stamp Set. She also embellished the background with hearts from those two sets, embossed in white.

Interactive Shaker Tags by Ellen Haxelmans

If you are a fan of Ellen's work you know she LOVES to combine sets and make projects that interact or move! This year she's going to do a series of interactive features for the NND blog! How Cool is that!? Each month she will share an interactive project one week after our new release! 

Today is her first interactive project and she's sharing how to make these amazing shaker tags:

Here's how you can use the FUSE heat tool with our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to create a fun shaker tag shape:

Note: If you aren't familiar with the FUSE it's a little heat tool with a wheel at the end that you can use to fuse to layers of plastic together. Ellen is using two layers of plastic with a piece of cardboard underneath so she doesn't damage her work surface with the heat. 

Picture one (above left): Tape the inside of the die on a  transparency (don't cut it out with your die-cutting machine, the dies is just a guide).

Picture two (above right): Use your die as guide and go around the outside of the die with your fuse tool. Don't completely go around your die; Keep a small part open.

Picture three (above left): Put some sequins in the opening of your shape. This gives the magic.

Picture four (above right): Finish fusing the opening closed and then cut out the tag with a scissors. After the hard work is done, you can decorate it as much as you want.

To decorate her tags today Ellen combined a bunch of different stamp sets. On the strawberry tag she combined the strawberry dipped in chocolate from the Love & Chocolate Stamp Set  with the "sending smiles" words from the new Sending Hugs Stamp Set. On the little bear tag she used the banner from Winston Takes Flight Stamp Set with the little bear from the Sending Hugs Stamp Set. Both tags were created as shown above using the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. She also used this set to add on the decorative tabs over the tag holes. 

These amazing tags are so fun to shake and interact with! They would be awesome tied onto some Valentine Treats!

Love Chocolate? You'll this card today by Holly featuring our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set! She started out by cutting a panel of watercolor paper using our scalloped edged die shape from the Frames & Flags Die Set. Then she stamped all those delicious treats randomly over the panel and colored them in using distress inks and a watercolor brush! They all look so yummy I don't know which one I'd try first! Then she added the "you make life sweeter" sentiment, also from the Love & Chocolate Stamp Set! on a little banner cut out using the Frames & Flags Die Set.  This card would be perfect for Valentines Day or just to tell someone you think they're sweet!

Valentine Treats by Larissa Heskett

Sweet Treats!

Today we have an special valentine treat by Larissa. Can you believe she made those cute strawberry shaped cookies?! They look just like the chocolate covered strawberries in our Love & Chocolate stamp set so she used that stamp set to create an adorable cookie holder and tag!  For the tag she used the tag stamp with the stitched border from the Tag Sampler stamp set and added the "Have a Sweet Day" sentiment from the Party Pops stamp set! Then, of course she added on the chocolate covered strawberry from the Love & Chocolate stamp set and trimmed it out with the coordinating Love & Chocolate Die Set.  So cute!! She added the tag onto her cookie box with a bow and the xoxo heart from the Darling Duos stamp set too! 

What a fun an unique way to tell someone they are sweet this Valentines day!
