Hello Summer Card by Donna Idlet

Hello Summer Card by Donna Idlet | Summer Scoops Stamp Set, Summertime Paper Pad and Frames Squared Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Summer Sweets!

Today we are celebrating the sweet days of summer with this yummy card by Donna!

She filled her card with tasty cold summer treats, starting out with the popsicles from our Summer Scoops Stamp Set. She created a whole row of yummy popsicles, coloring them in a bright rainbow of colors and cutting them out using the coordinating Summer Scoops Die Set. Can you imagine what flavors each of these tasty treats represents?

For her card base, she created a tasty background using the ice cream printed paper from our Summertime Paper Pad. This pretty print pairs perfectly with the stamped ice cream images! She also added a green striped paper behind the popsicles from the same paper pad.

For the sentiment she used "hello summer" from the Flamingo Oval Stamp Set and embossed it in white onto a black circle (die cut using our Frames Squared Die Set).

Surf's Up Birthday Card!

Do you have a a friend with a summer birthday? Today Amanda is sharing a summer themed birthday card that is sure to inspire summer birthday fun!

She started  by stamping and coloring the cute VW Bug with the surfboard on it's roof from our Beach Bound Stamp Set. she colored this cute little image in fun summer colors and and cut it out using the coordinating Beach Bound Die Set

She created a fun summer scene for the car to drive by using our Palm Tree Line Stencil. This fun stencil has three rows of the palm tree parts, making it easy to line up and combine the different colors! It makes a perfect setting for the car to drive by on the way to the beach!

Next, she used our Summertime Paper Pad to cut some pretty patterns to add to her card. She used a simple pink stripe on the top and bottom of the palm tree row and then added the fun hibiscus print along the bottom of the card to add a playful summer vibe!

For the message, she used two phrases from the Beach Bound Stamp Set, "Surf's Up!" and "Ridin' into another year!" which combine perfectly to create a fun birthday theme! The black rectangle that holds the second part of the message was cut out using our Basic Frames Die Set

We've loved her work for quite some time now so when we had a spot open on our team - We knew she would fit right in! Diane Morales
2 Sisters Project

Hello Newtons Nook Fans!
My Motto is “do what you love and share it with others.”

I am currently living in Beaverton, Oregon with my husband, and tribe of four cats. Like most I started scrapbooking and migrated into cardmaking. I am obsessed with shaped cards, pattered paper, and bright bold color. I first fell in love with Newton’s Nook when I was looking for a stamp set that best reflected how my cats acted. Newton’s Antics was my first stamp set and I have been in LOVE ever since.

When I am not “procraftinating" you can find me outside with a cup of coffee in the garden. You can find me on Instagram at 2.sistersproject  and #dianeiscrafty

The sea is calling!

Today Diane is starting out her spot on team by creating and amazing circle shaped summer card! This sweet little card is sure to make you smile!

She started out with the cute image of the kitty listening to the seashell from our Newton's Seashell Stamp Set. She colored the sweet image in neutral colors and cut it out using the coordinating Newton's Seashell Die Set

For the card base she cut out some circles using our Circle Frames Die Set. The larger circle was cut from white and blue cardstock that she layered together. The smaller scallop edged circle was die cut from a pretty patterned paper from our Summertime Paper Pad. She added the sentiment from the Newton's Seashell Stamp Set tucked next to the kitty image.

Samantha Mann
Designer & Design Team Coordinator
Hi, I'm Samantha Mann and I couldn't be happier to continue for another term with Newton's Nook Designs!! My husband and I have lived all over the US, from Washington State to Florida, but we're currently in hot, humid, coastal South Carolina! We have two boys (who I usually call my little Menn, even if they're not-so-little anymore)! I have always been in love with school supplies (ever since elementary school when I would save my nickels to buy cute pencils or erasers!) and that love just grew and developed into my crazy obsession (read: passion!) of paper crafting! I love making cards and even dabble with the occasional scrapbook layout! You can always find me with some inky fingers and lots of ink blending! I'm definitely quirky, and love to make playful, humorous sentiments for my cards (and layouts)! I work full time for an advertising company and spend every other moment I can paper crafting, reading and enjoying the little moments in everyday family life.

Hello, I’m Ellen and I live a little further from the USA; I come from Belgium and live with my husband Davey and two sweet cats; Oliver & Bailey.

I've always been artsy and even studied art. In my current job I don’t do anything creative and that’s why I really like to paint, draw and of course create cards in my free time. Even till Davey gets nuts of it haha! As a big Newton’s Nook Designs fan, I'm so blessed and happy to be a part of this awesome team for another term! I’m so curious what the next release will look like, so bring it on!

Donna Idlet
Creative Lady

Hello, my name is Donna Idlet and I am so excited about joining Newton’s Nook Designs team. I have been a fan of Newton for many years. I live in Northern Virginia which is just 30 minutes away from Washington, DC. I am a wife, mother and mema. My husband is retired from the military who served 30 years of service. He is truly an amazing husband, father, and papa who is dedicated to his family and supports me in all of my endeavors. I have a son, a daughter and three beautiful grandchildren, who are the loves of my life.

My travels have been vast as I was fortunate to live abroad and in multiple states around the Country. The most interesting thing about traveling is seeing all the beauty that surrounds the World which has shaped my life and eye for creativity. I have always loved crafting and I inherited that trait honestly because my mother was a crafter and a quilter.  I have been making cards for over 15 years. I love, love, love making cards, altered art, and photography. I also love Scrapbooking--traditional and digital. I always strive to integrate my joys that I captured or created in my designs to share on social media. I just wish there were more hours in the day.

I love coloring with Copics and experiencing with other mediums. I like clean lines, coloring, layering and elegance. I love learning new techniques and playing with all sorts of stamps, digital images, dies and papers. My style varies but it is always elegant and well put together.

You can find me on my blog Creative Lady, on instagram @didlet and on Facebook.

Zsofia Molnar
safsafdesign

Hello! My name is Zsofia Molnar and I am a card maker from Hungary. I am thrilled to join this amazing Design Team. I live in beautiful Budapest with my 2 kids (11 and 8 years old) and the most loving husband ever. We are a truly trilingual family as my husband is Egyptian and we communicate with each other in English. I started paper crafting more or less 8 years ago when I was fascinated by all the pretty scrapbook layouts. I have never even made a single one, but rather fell in love with making cards and sharing handmade kindness with my family and friends. I am an addict since then, I have to be crafty every day to feel good. This is my little escape. I love cute critters, florals and I really enjoy building scenes with layers. I am curious to try new techniques but my favourites are still Copics and Distress inks. You can follow my crafty journey on my blog www.safsafdesign.wordpress.com or on Instagram @safsafdesign2016.

Maria Russell

Hello stampers and crafters. My name is Maria Russell and I am so THRILLED to be a part of the Newton’s Nook Designs design team.  My husband and I have lived all over the world and we have two talented, beautiful children (now adults).

My love for paper crafting began in high school when my friends and I wrote each other letters, took photos, kept a journal and scrapbooks.  It kind of looked like a smash-book because I had everything in there from ticket stubs, to beautiful napkins, to candy wrapper.  Paper crafting is very therapeutic for me.  I only ventured into card making in 2013 and I am hooked!  I was really honored when one of my cards got published at Scrapbook and Cards magazine, Creative Cards Volume I in 2015.

I am so HAPPY to be a part of this amazing design team!  I’d be honored if you’d like to visit my blog www.mariarusselldesigns.com or follow me on Instagram @rprmlr77

Farhana S
Everyday Engineered

Hi crafty friends! My name is Farhana and I am so excited right now to be part of the Newton's Nook team! I've been crafting for almost 10 years now. It's always been paper crafts, transitioning from scrapbooking to cardmaking. Newton Nook Design stamps were some of my firsts from back in 2013, so there are many retired sets in my stashing and the Inky Paws card challenge was also the first challenge that I ever did! With two littles at home, crafting gives me a much needed break after bedtime! I can't wait to create with NND products and inspire all of you! Critter stamps are cute, but florals will always be my favourite!

When I'm not crafting or running after the littles, you'll find me baking in the kitchen or taking in the great outdoors here in WA! I'm super excited to be here and see what 2022 has in store for all of us!

Hello! My name is Tatiana and I’m so excited and honored to be joining the Newton’s Nook Designs DT! I live in sunny Rome with my hubby, stepson and two sweet kitties, Tommy and Lilly.

I always loved everything handmade and crafty related and tried all kinds of hobbies from jewelry making to crocheting until I discovered and felt in love with a magical world of paper crafting. Cardmaking and coloring became my relaxing getaway.

I like getting inky, experimenting, stretching my supplies, learning new techniques and coloring with any medium, especially cat images which I often make look like my kitties.

Trio of Inky Seashell Cards by Amanda Wilcox

Trio of Inky Seashell Cards by Amanda Wilcox | Seashell Roundabout Stamp Set, Circle Frames Die Set, Banner Trio Die Set, Frames & Flags Die Set and Summertime Paper Pad by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Celebrate Summer!

Today we are sharing a trio of inky summer cards by Amanda that are perfect for celebrating summer moments!

To create this fun trio she started with watercolor paper and Tombow markers and created some ink smooshed backgrounds in three different color combinations. Sometimes it's just fun to play around and make inky backgrounds, right!?

Next, she stamped the big circle image from our Seashell Roundabout Stamp Set using VersaFine Black ink over each inky background. She used our Circle Frames Die Set to cut the images out into scalloped circle shapes. Then she used pages from our Summertime Paper Pad to create pretty patterned background that coordinated with the colors on each circle. She cut the papers out using our Frames & Flags Die Set to give them the scalloped edges. Then, she added messages to each card using sentiments from the Seashell Roundabout Stamp Set, embossed in white onto black banners that were cut out using our  Banner Trio Die Set. A bit of sheer ribbon and a few black enamel dots finish off each card.

Here are individual photos of each card so you can see them up close.

We love this fun idea of inking backgrounds to create a series of cards that are similar, yet each individual! Plus, it's so fun to get inky!

Ridin' Into Another Summer Card by Amanda Wilcox

Ridin' Into Another Summer Card by Amanda Wilcox | Beach Bound Stamp Set, Palm Tree Line Stencil, Summertime Paper Pad and Frames & Flags Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Ride Along to the Beach!

This card by Amanda is perfect for a birthday celebration at the beach!

To create this fun beach vibe she used our Palm Tree Line Stencil to create fun diagonal lines of palm trees across her background panel! She also added little bits of paint splatter to add a bit of fun texture. So cool!

Next, she used the adorable image of the jeep with a surfboard in the back from our Beach Bound Stamp Set. She colored the image in bright summer colors and used the Beach Bound Die Set to cut it out.

She layered the jeep over a trio of banners that were cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. Two of the banners were cut out using pretty prints from our Summertime Paper Pad. The third banner was cut out from black cardstock and she embossed the sentiment "Ridin' into another year!" onto it. This would be great for sending as a summer birthday, or just as a happy summer hello!

The final detail is a strip of blue bubble print up the right side of the card. This is also cut from our Summertime Paper Pad. This little detail is the perfect finishing touch and ties in perfectly with the color of the jeep!

You're One in a Melon Card by Donna Idlet | Newton's Melon Stamp Set, Summertime Paper Pad and Circle Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

One in a MELON!

Today we are getting ready for summer fun with this watermelon themed card by Donna

To create the watermelon theme, she starts with the adorable image of newton eating a watermelon from our  Newton's Melon Stamp Set. She colored the image and added some glossy details to the watermelon seeds. The image was cut out using our Newton's Melon Die Set. She layered the image over a circle, cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set and stamped the sentiment below the kitty.

Happy Birthday Grill Master Card by Farhana Sarker | Dad's BBQ Stamp Set, Summertime Paper Pad and BBQ Roundabout Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

A Birthday BBQ!

Today Farhana has created a card that's perfect a summer birthday, complete with BBQ!

This fun card features the grill and accessories from our  Dad's BBQ Stamp Set. She colored them in fun bright colors and used the coordinating Dad's BBQ Die Set to cut the images out.

She then created a shaker card to go with the images. She used the sunshine paper from our Summertime Paper Pad as her card front and cut a circle out of it using our Circle Frames Die Set to frame the shaker. In the back of the shaker she used the big circle image from our BBQ Roundabout Stamp Set, embossed in white. She added some colored inks over the top to match with her color theme and then added the grilling accessories along with some sequins into the shaker window.
