BOTS of Love!!

Today are sharing a fun way to send BOTS of love this Valentine's Day with a robot themed card by Samantha! 

For this adorable card she stamped and colored three fun robots from our Love Bots Stamp Set. This design features not just robots but also robot dogs and cats for an extra touch of whimsy. So cute! She colored the images using grays with pink and red highlights and cut them out using the coordinating Love Bots Die Set.

For her card she created a fun ombré background using shades of pink distress inks and then added water and white paint splatters over the top. She added a white frame cut out using our Frames & Tags Die Set and arranged all the robots inside the windows. The sentiment "I like you a BOT" was stamped onto the banner from our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and added onto the top.

Have a Blast Card by Samantha Mann

BEEP! BOOP! 

Today Samantha is back and having a BLAST featuring our featuring rainbow robots and fireworks for an amazing celebratory card! 

She starts out by stamping the robot, robot dog and robot cat from our Love Bots Stamp Set! She colors them in metallic grays and adds rainbow colors to each of them to add a bit of fun and whimsy! She also adds pink cheeks and white gel pen accents for finishing touches to her coloring! She cuts the images out using the coordinating Love Bots Die Set.

For the card background she creates rainbow sky filled with fireworks using our Fireworks Stencil. On top of the rainbow colors she adds a bit of sparkle using sparkly texture paste over the middles of each firework burst. Then she uses our Essential Alphabet Die Set to cut out the words "Beep Boop" from the center of the panel. She also embosses the words "Have a" and "blast" from our Newton's 4th of July Stamp Set onto black cardstock. She stacks the words above and below the die cut letters to create a fun custom sentiment.  What an amazing idea!

Love You 2 Bits card by Tina Herbeck

Love you 2 BITS!!

Both cat and dog lovers will smile when they see this adorable Valentine by Tina featuring robot versions of our favorite pets! 

To create this fun card Tina stamped and colored the robot dog and cat from our Love Bots Stamp Set. She used neutral grays to color these pals, making them look like metal robots. The images were cut out using the coordinating Love Bots Die Set. 

For her card, she choose a piece of patterned paper from our Love & Woofs Paper Pad that has hearts and paw prints to fit the theme. She cut it out using our Framework Die Set to give it a fun postage edge. She also cut out a heart using out Heart Frames Die Set . She added fun texture to the heart by using our Tumbling Hearts Stencil to dry emboss a texture of small hearts. She added a bit of light ink blending to help make the little hearts appear and then layered that on top of the patterned background. She added the two robot pals and a few enamel hearts too. Below the friends she added the sentiment "Love you 2 BITS" from the Love Bots Stamp Set, embossing it in white onto a skinny banner that was cut out using our A7 Frames & Banners Die.

Overload of Thanks Card by Samantha Mann

 

Overload of Thanks! 

Beep! Boop! This robot card by Samantha is definitely a unique way to say thank you! 

For this card she features the cute robot and and his robot cat from the Love Bots Stamp Set. She colored them in gray but added fun rainbow colored accent areas on their arms and legs! Plus, pink cheeks to add to the cuteness! She used the coordinating Love Bots Die Set to cut the images out. 

For the card base she used distress inks to add a blue toned sky and then added rays using our Sunscape Stencil with some glittery texture paste. She then layered the robots and a bitmap heart in front of the rays. How fun! The finishing touch is the sentiment "overload of thanks" which was embossed in white on a banner that was die cut using the banner die from our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. And, of course, a bit of washi tape up the left side of the card adds a fun patterned detail! 

Isn't it incredible how just a little bit of rainbow color and sparkle bring so much fun to this card?

Robot Dog Valentine Card by February Guest Designer Jennifer Ingle

Today we are introducing our Guest Designer for February, Jennifer Ingle from Just Jingle!  You might remember Jennifer as she was on our Design Team several years ago and we are thrilled to have her back as a guest! We can't wait to see what she creates! Keep reading on to hear more about her and view her first project today!

My name is Jennifer Ingle, also known as Jingle! I have a wonderful husband, an absolutely beautiful two and a half year old son, and two amazing pups, all of whom support my crafting wonderfully. Well, okay, the dogs will eat paper if I'm not careful, but, they do their best. ;) I have been crafting since I was a small child and it has simply transformed into different creative forms over the years. I started scrapbooking about 25 years ago and that evolved into card making, which is my absolute favorite! I am so excited to be back designing for Newton's Nook again! Jen creates such amazing products and I absolutely love them!

Hello, folks! This is Jennifer Ingle here and I am so very excited to be guest designing this month here at Newton's Nook Designs! Today I have a super fun Valentine's Day card to share with you.

I was going for an old school 'kids' Valentine kind of feel and I had so much fun with it. I used the amazing patterned papers in the Love & Meows Paper Pad as my starting point. The grey paw print was a perfect backdrop for that adorable robot doggy! Also... you GUYS! Robot DOG!!!! I can't even. I love it so much. He's from the new Love Bots Stamp Set and coordinating Love Bots Die Set!

I colored the stamped image in greys and pinks and popped him up for some fun dimension. I stamped the heart in red before die cutting and also adhered that with foam tape. The sentiment is stamped, embossed, and then trimmed into a simple banner to ground out the design. This stamp set is already on my favorites of all time list, man! It is just TOO CUTE!

Love You 2 Bits Tag by Ellen Haxelmans

Love You 2 Bits!

You will love this project by Ellen 2 bits! She created this adorable love themed bookmark featuring the cute robot from our fun new Love Bots Stamp Set. She colored that cutie in fun bright colors, adding gloss for a fun bit of shine. The image was cut out using the coordinating Love Bots Die Set to add to her project. 

Next, she created a used a piece of heart patterned paper from our new Love & Meows Paper Pad and cut it out using our Bookmark Die Set! She added a little hill on the bottom for the robot to stand on using our Land Borders Die Set. For the sentiments, she cut out the decorative rectangle and banner using our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and embossed the sentiment in white. She also added the little eight bit heart on the top, from the  Love Bots Stamp Set.
