 Tina is galloping by today with a card using the retiring Neigh Stamp Set!

This card by Tina is perfect for sending a fun birthday wish to a friend who loves horses! She colored the trio of horses from the Neigh Stamp Set, adding beautiful texture details on the manes! For her card base she used our new A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and added clouds into each open rectangle to set the scene. A fence border completes the fun layout. Detailed product list below.

 Next, Zsofia created a fun owl card featuring the our retiring Love Owl-ways Stamp Set!

Zsofia created this adorable Harry Potter inspired card using the owl carrying the letter from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. She paired it with a custom sentiment that was created by cutting our letters using our  Essential Alphabet Die Set over a fun blue inked sky background. So adorable! Detailed product list below.

Hoot for You Card by Samantha Mann

Hoot! Hoot!

Have you started creating Valentine cards yet? This adorable owl Samantha is sure to help get your creativity flowing!

This adorable card features two of the sweet owls from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. This set is truly a hoot! Those cute owls are perfect for sending wishes for love, anniversaries and more! For her card today, Sam colored the two owls in neutral browns but then added pink to their wings! What a fun look! the also added in some white details with a white gel pen. The images were cut out using the coordinating Love Owl-ways Die Set. 

For that amazing background she created layers of clouds using our Clouds Stencil with several colors of distress ink. Isn't the effect stunning!? Then she added the owls to the sky and simply stamped the sentiment in the lower corner. What a gorgeous card!

Sending Love Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Sending Love 

Today we have a card by Tatiana that is perfect for Valentine's Day! This card features images from our adorable Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. To create the image of the owl with all the valentine goodies she combined several images. She started with the owl holding the balloon form the Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. Next, she added just the box of candy from the owl holding the candy from the same set, so that the one owl could hold both items! Then, to add more accessories she added the letters and bouquet of flowers from our Sending Hugs Stamp Set! This owl is truly laden down with love! She colored all the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating Love Owl-ways Die Set and Sending Hugs Die Set. The tiny hearts in the sky are also from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. 

For the card base she created a sky filled with clouds using our Cloudy Sky Stencil with a crackle texture paste. Then she layered this over a white panel with a postage edge that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. The last piece was the custom sentiment, created by combing the word "sending" from the Sending Hugs Stamp Set with the die cut "love" cut out with our Darling Hearts Die Set.

Happy Valentine's Day Card by January Guest Designer Tricia Barber

Hey there!  It's Tricia here with you today to share a Valentine's Day card using the Love Owl-ways stamp set.   

I decided to make a slimline card and started with a panel of pink cardstock that is 3.5 inches by 7.75 inches. I used the Gingham Stencil and embossed it with my die cutting machine onto the pink panel leaving about 2.5 inch space at the top. I then shifted the stencil over a row of the gingham and ink blended with some light pink ink. This added some more dimension to the panel and made it pop up a little more from the card. You can see it more in the photo below.

I stamped three of the owl images and some hearts from the Love Owl-ways Stamp Set and then colored with my Copic markers. I trimmed them down and then added to the card panel. These owls are just adorable!

I added a die cut scalloped panel and heart to the top of the card. I stamped a sentiment from the Love Owl-ways Stamp Set in hot pink ink. To finish off the card I added some clear sparkle and some highlights with a white gel pen. This card will fit perfectly into a business size envelope! The finished size is 3.75 inches by 8 inches.

World's Best Mom Card by Maria Russell

World's BEST Mom!

Mother's Day is just around the corner and today we have a great idea by Maria sharing how to combine several fun sets to create a unique Mother's Day card! 

She started out with the pair of owls from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. Although the theme of this set is valentines, these owls also work great to represent a mother and daughter! Maria colored them in browns and added eyelashes to the owl on the left so that they both have a feminine look. She added the cute duo of owls onto a branch that was stamped from our What a Hoot Stamp Set. She stamped and colored two branches and leaf clusters to cut out and add to her card. She also added a birdhouse hanging from the branch by using the image from our Newton's Birdhouse Stamp Set and cutting out just the top part of the birdhouse without using the post. Such a clever idea!

For the lovely pastel clouds in the background she used our Clouds Stencil along with several different ink colors to sponge in those soft clouds. She also added a layer of grass along the bottom using our Hills & Grass Stencil with green ink.

The finishing touch is the custom sentiment "World's Best Mom." This was created by using the words "World's Best" from our Simply Relative Stamp Set and adding the letters to spell Mom, cut out with our Essential Alphabet Die Set underneath. Having an alphabet die set like this makes it easy to customize your sentiments!

We hope this card by Maria has inspired you to look at your stamps in new ways and use stamps for occasions other than the ones they were meant for!

Sing a Song of Snowflakes Card by Larissa Heskett

Sing a song of Snowflakes!

This adorable winter card by Larissa will steal your heart! She created this loveable card featuring the owl pair from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. This set was designed for Valentine and love themed cards but those sweet birds can really be used any time of year! Here she colored them in shades of brown, adding in lovely textures and pink cheeks. She cut them out using the Love Owl-ways Die Set. She  layered them over a branch that was created from the birch tree die cut on the Forest Scene Builder Die Set. She also adorns the branch with the tiny poinsettia from the Poinsettia Blooms Stamp Set. She created a lovely little cluster of leaves and berries too and cut them all out using the  coordinating Poinsettia Blooms Die Set. She added some beautiful details to the circle of blue sky by adding a subtle music note pattern in the sky using our Music Stencil. Then she added white embossed snowflakes and a black embossed sentiment from the Winter Birds Stamp Set.

Owl-ways and Forever Card by Larissa Heskett

Owl-ways & Forever!

Today Larissa has created an adorable owl card that is perfect for Spring! She started out with the cute owl couple from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. She colored the sweet birds with Copic markers, added lots of little dots for texture and white gel pen accents too. She trimmed out the image using the coordinating Love Owl-ways Die Set. Then she created a gorgeous wreath for them to sit in using a bunch of different floral stamps. She created the circle using three lily stems from our Little Lillies Stamp Set, and added lots of extra little blooms and leaves from our Lovely Blooms Stamp Set and Toucan Party Stamp Set. She colored all these lovely flowers and cut them out with their coordinating die sets. Then she assembled them into a wreath shape. She also added in a branch for the owls to perch on using our Winter Birds Stamp Set and coordinating Winter Birds Die Set.

In the background of the card you can also see some lovely blue hearts. She added these in using our Tumbling Hearts Stencil.

Of course I had to play along -- here's the card I created:

I was excited to see this challenge theme was plaid! We have an awesome two piece Plaid Stencil Set so I had to use that for the background.  This stencil is two pieces so it makes it easy to create patterns in multiple colors. I started with the thicker plaid stripes and used blue ink over the stencil. Then I added the thin purple stripes using the second stencil. I decided to go back and add a third color so I used the thicker striped stencil again and this time I used lime green ink. It's so fun how you create custom patterns! 

Once the background was complete I stamped the owl holding a heart shaped balloon from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set on watercolor paper using archival waterproof ink. I then colored the image using Inktense watercolor pencils and a water brush. I cut out the image out using the coordinating Love Owl-ways Die Set. Then I created a strip of clouds using our Sky Borders Die Set and cutting the cloud border on top and bottom of a white piece of paper. 

I assembled the card, adding a stripe of purple behind the clouds to help them pop. I added the owl on using dimensional foam tape. Then I finished it off by stamping the "Guess whoooo loves you" Sentiment from the  Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. I love how this turned out!

Masculine Valentine with Owls by Zsofia Molnar

 

Owls for Valentine's Day!  

Today Zsofia created this adorable Valentine with a masculine feel that is perfect for sending to a special guy in your life. She started out with the cute owl couple from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. She used neutral browns to color the image and added the pop of orange on the beak and feet. She cut the image out using the coordinating Love Owl-ways Die Set. For her card she matched the neutral tones of her owls, choosing a background papers in brown and orange. Se put the owls in the center of the card with the sentiments above their heads in cute thought bubbles. Then she added a tree on each side using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set. She cut the tree out in white and then again in brown, offsetting it a bit to give it a cool shadow effect! She finished out the card by adding "Happy Valentine's Day" stamped across the bottom, also from the Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. What a great way to create a card for a special Valentine!

Sweet Treats Blog Hop

It's our 5th Annual Sweet Treats Blog Hop!

For my stop on this hop I created a fun set of cute pockets to hold Pixy Stix:

I knew I wanted to make something fun featuring the cute owls from our new  Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. These owls are so cute for Valentines! I colored the images of the owl with the box of chocolates and the owl carrying a love letter with watercolors. Then I trimmed them out using the Love Owl-ways Die Set to add to my project. 

To create the fun treat pockets I started with a piece of paper that was 8 1/2  inches tall by 3 inches wide. I scored and folded it to make into a fun pocket, leaving a tab on each side on the the bottom section to allow for a spot to glue the front to the back. I created two pockets like this. Then I used our Tumbling Hearts Stencil to decorate each one with hearts. On the kraft colored pocket I used dark brown ink and on the red colored pocket I used white ink. 

I die cut a tag to add to each one using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. I also used the tiny scalloped border from the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to add the white scalloped edges on the top of the pocket and on the back of the treat holder. I stamped sentiments onto the tags using our  Love Owl-ways Stamp Set and scored them so they wrapped around to the backside. I added some bakers twine to secure them in place. Then I added on the cute owls with some dimensional tape.

Whooo Loves You?!

Today we are sharing some more adorable owl inspiration with this sweet love card by Maria! She used our new Love Owl-Ways Stamp Set and colored three of the sweet owls from the set in shades of brown, adding in pink for the balloon, candy heart and love litter. Then she trimmed out the owls using the coordinating Love Owl-Ways Die Set. For her card she created a fun dreamy setting for the owls. She started with a heart embossed background, then added a scalloped edge stripe of paper with fun tints of pink and splatters of ink on it. For the scalloped edge she used our Sky Borders Die Set. Then she added in some fun white branches using our Pines & Holly Die Set. She also added in a gold arrow for the owl to sit on using an arrow from our Points & Plumes Die Set. So adorable! She finished the card off using the sentiment from the  Love Owl-Ways Stamp Set on the bottom.

This card by Larissa is so soft and pretty! She featured the owl carrying a love note from the new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. Then she created that lovely sky using hearts from our Tumbling Hearts Stencil along with clouds cut out using our Sky Borders Die Set. She also added a scalloped panel to frame the whole scene using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Zsofia featured three of the owls from our new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set on her card today. It's so cute how she created three stripes of pink and added one owl to each strip along with a sentiment from the set! What a fun way to showcase all three images when you can't decide which one to use! 

Maria created this cheerful owl card using the new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. She featured the image of the owl couple from the new set sitting on a branch from our What a Hoot Stamp Set. The sunny background behind them was added using our Sunscape Stencil and it gives the card such a warm and cozy feeling!

This cute owl is bringing mail to Newton! How fun is that? Amanda created this fun scene using the owl carrying a love note from our new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set combined with Newton in the mailbox from our Newton's Happy Mail Stamp Set. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the banner that holds the sentiment and for the Scallop edged border. 

The owls are so cute floating in the purple sky on this card by Samantha! She used the two owls from the new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set and colored them with adorable pink accents on their wings and bellies! Then she created a lovely sky full of fluffy purple clouds, using a cut out of our Sky Borders Die Set as a mask for the ink. She added the sentiment, embossed on a stripe of vellum to finish the dreamy scene. 

The owl on this card by Naki has SO MANY balloons! She created this delightful scene using the owl from the new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. She stamped a bunch of extra heart balloons using the same image and some creative masking! Plus, don't you love the sparkle on the balloons? She also used the stitched rectangle from our Frames & Flags Die Set for the background panel and added in two little clouds from the Newton Scoots By Die Set.

Holly created an adorable cloudy sky scene using two of the owls from our new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. She colored the owls with copics and added fun white gel pen details. For her sky, she used our Cloudy Sky Stencil with white embossing paste and added some blue ink to the center. So cute! 

This charming owl card by Tatiana is perfect for sending a love and happy mail! She used the owl holding a love letter from our new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. Then she added in a whole bunch more letters using the Sending Hugs Stamp Set. So adorable!

Ellen created a playful interactive Valentine that is so fun to open! She featured one of the owls from our new Love Owl-ways Stamp Set on the front and then when you pull the card open, it flips to reveal one inside! Make sure you pop over to her blog today to see more photos. She also added in little pink clouds using our Cloud Sky Stencil and a layer of clouds across the bottom using our Sky Borders Die Set. She added in the word "love" from our Darling Hearts Die Set.
