Warlouse Cavalry nine new 28mm from Halcyon Miniatures

Halcyon Miniatures now adds its fifth set of releases to its growing range on our website.  Produced under agreement this range now has over forty poses of science fiction and now fantasy models and miniatures.  Nine different riders each of which fits upon any one of the three mighty ‘steeds'.

Take your pick of Knights with sword or lance as well as a Squire, a Man at Arms, Falconer and a Female Adventurer each supplied with one randomly of three poses of Warlouse.  Each Warlouse has a saddle and baggage upon it and is about 80mm long and 50mm wide.

These are not the only cavalry we make, oh no, we have a great many riders upon horses (such as the wonderful lancers of the Crystal Elf Empire) as well as some on some rather more novel mounts such as the Gnome on Baggage Turtle. These include, from our Orc and Goblin Horde Range, the Goblin Knights on Dodos.

Until 24th April the new AS031 Warbot III is free in all orders shipped out!  All you need do is order and we will put it in automatically.  Any amount of orders for anything and you can purchase it too and you will still get one free.  Use it in any scale and a lot of settings..four legged robotic fun!

Thanks for your Time.

VNT64 Skeleton Warriors II new 28mm releases

"Bones long buried. Bones long away from the warmth of the sun. Bones that have served their purpose in life and now rest deep in the cold soil. Bones that due to the dark arts of the Necromancers now serve a new purpose no longer buried and immune to the warmth of the sun overhead. Rattling and creaking with the clank of rusted armour the Skeletons that were once Men take to the field of battle ahead of their liche lords. Ranks numerous marching with sword and spear, bow and axe leering with empty eye sockets and hanging loose jaws. Sickening ordered steps bring them ever closer as their chariots pulled by long dead horses enter the fray and bolt throwers served by Skeletons fire iron at our terrified lines. Your sword will slip between ribs and your arrows pass straight through with no effect so to mace and hammer. Smash them and send these bones back to rest."

The first of two new releases this month added to our 28mm Undead Legions Range.  Five new Skeletons armed with melee weapons and following up on the original 1990’s Skeleton Warriors (VNT13).  You can have them as singles or as a pack with a built in saving as all packs have.  Above you see them attacking a couple of brave dungeoneers (FL22-03 Half Orc and FL22-04 Cleric) from our Adventurers and Wizards Range.

VNT64 Skeleton Warriors II five different metal miniatures which are supplied unpainted and without a base (shown on our 59021 Resin 25mm Square Bases).  Sculpted by Sam Croes.

Mortal men have access to armouries and to armourers too. Why not for the Dead too?  See VNT51 Undead Weapons and VNT59 Undead Shields for a selection of ten weapons and five shields for animated corpses and other evil things.  Choose from single pieces of a pack. In the pack the pieces come on free sprues which can be cut up and used with their ‘skull motifs’ on your scenics or table.

January Joy is on and you can save 50% off three codes including VNT19 Ogre Cavalry until 6th February 2025. Example painted by OliHot27. See our Deals and Offer page.

Hear, See and Speak no Good..according to Necromancers. Three new 28mm skeletons automatically included for free in every order shipped until 6th February.  See the ARTICLE for details of these fun bone guys which have many uses.

Thanks for your Time.

Evil Adventurers ten 28mm miniatures painted by Sporehammer

"Out of the light and in the darkness are the adventurers who would do ill upon the world. Some are savage and some noble with other skilled in abduction and in theft too but all are cruel. Cruel and with a streak of evil in their bones that makes them so. Often in the service of nefarious warlords or skulking dark mages these adventurers love gold above all else and will kill with ease to get it."

We are delighted to announce new molds for CA3 Evil Adventurers and CA4 Evil Adventurers II we add that they are now online as single miniatures and value packs with a saving on the five poses in each. Lastly new pictures of them all painted by the talented Sporehammer over on Instagram.

Ten different 28mm scale metal miniatures originally released in the early 1990’s by Alternative Armies and full of character. Powerful female barbarian and sorceress alongside rogue, thief and warriors all aligned to the bad side of the coin.  An example of a single code is above. See them all and more (such as Halflings and Guild Assassins) in our Adventurers and Wizards range.

The Icon is free in all orders until 3rd October 2024.  You need do nothing but place an order and as long as it ships out (no digital only orders sorry) then VNT54-01 (shown above) will be included for free automatically.  You can purchase it and the other two larger sizes of VNT54 The Icon and you will still get the free one.

By request we have added The Icon to the Erin Celtic Mythology Range alongside the latest Scatter Terrain and the Skull Pile as three single codes.  Enjoy!

We hope you enjoyed the talented brush work skills of Sporehammer!

Elves Pt1 by Nick Bibby in 1980s Asgard range restore Dungeon Adventurers

The reviving of Asgard and Tabletop Miniatures ranges is ongoing and with the recent start of the Dungeon Adventurers Range being re-released (a dozen Dwarfs by Nick Bibby, Jes Goodwin and Steve Trickett already) we now have part one of the Elves. Part two of the Elves will follow in a few weeks time (not quite ready yet) but for now five metal 28mm miniatures.

First created and sold in the early 1980’s, sculpted by legends of the time these miniatures are the natural foes of the Fantasy Monster Range and allies or enemies of the Creatures of Chaos or Jes Goodwin Orcs

This very large range contained some ninety poses all in and it is our intent to bring these back to you in groups across time. We are now up to seventeen poses. All the miniatures were painted by the talented Studio Maxi and while shown here in a group they are all as singles on the website. Here are the codes:

DA11 Elf Magic-user
DA12 Elf in Plate-mail
DA14 Half Elf
DA15 Wood Elf Adventurer
DA16 Wood Elf Adventuress

Sometimes the small touches make a miniature or a diorama base and you may have noticed FM67 Large Frog (by Nick Bibby) among the Elves above. This is a delightful miniature ideal for fantasy.

Fantasy Warlord. Restored high fantasy range from the 1990’s now with new pictures of 21000 Elven Hero. Painted by Studio Maxi. All Fantasy Warlord Characters come with separate weapons. There are infantry packs, weapon sprues and more in the range.

Dungeon Adventurers 1980’s range restore begins with Dwarfs by Bibby and Goodwin

Those who have been following Alternative Armies for the last seven years or so will know that we are intent on reviving as much of the classic Asgard and Tabletop ranges that we can.  First created and sold in the early 1980’s and sculpted by legends such as Nick Bibby and Jes Goodwin the time has come for the start of the Dungeon Adventurers Range to be restored into production. The natural foes of the Fantasy Monster Range and allies or enemies of the Creatures of Chaos or the Jes Goodwin Asgard Orcs this range covers Dwarfs, Gnomes, Elves, Halflings, Humans and much more.

This very large range contains some ninety poses all in and it is our intent to bring these to you in groups across time.  We begin now.  All the miniatures were painted by the talented Studio Maxi and while shown here in a group they are all as singles on the website.  Here are the codes:

DA1 Dwarf Thief

DA1a Dwarf Fighter

DA2 Dwarf in Platemail

DA3 Dwarf Lord

DA4 Dwarf Cleric

(by Nick Bibby)

DA5 Dwarf Shieldbearer

DA6 Dwarf Crossbowman

DA7v1 Dwarf King

DA8 Dwarf Adventurer

DA9 Dwarf Adventuress

DA10 Dwarf Trader

(by Jes Goodwin)

                                                                   DA7v2 Dwarf King

                                                                   (by Steve Trickett)

Above you can see a couple of these Dungeon Adventurers range Dwarfs alongside the Jes Goodwin 1985 Dwarfs and they work well together.  Codes DA1 to DA4 are larger and DA5 to DA10 are a bit smaller.

Until 10th June 2024 the classic Asgard F6 Large Rat is free automatically in all shipped packages (see it above alongside FM77 Medium Rat which is half price in our Deals and Offers page).  Tunnel fighting beckons!

There is a direct tie in between the Dungeon Adventurers Range in 28mm scale and the Tabletop Games 15mm Fantasy Range with many of the characters mirrored in the smaller scale.

Thank you for reading and for your continued support is keeping the golden age of British Wargaming alive some forty years later.
