Cryptmass House and our 28mm Snowman Christmas Range

Great news! Back in 2013 we did a short run of a resin building and then retired it. Now that 100mm tall kit is back. The Goblin Cryptmass House joins the Gifting Kitton as well as our Snowmen in 28mm scale ready for your table in our Christmas Miniature Range.

What is Cryptmass you ask? Well it is that time of year in the World of Valon, setting of Flintloque, Slaughterloo, En Garde, Frontear; when the snows come and festive things occur. With one difference. Around the city of Londinium and other places the dead...come to visit. Putting them back in the crypt is an annual pastime of the Orcs, Elves and Goblins among others. Joccians even rifle their pockets to see if the deceased have any coin.

59007 Cryptmass Goblin House: This fine dwelling is a ten piece resin kit comprising walls, roof, chimney as well as laurels (3) and a hanging Dodo (1) which can be put anywhere on the building. The snow is part of the building on its roof and elsewhere as are the coal filled festoons. A fun piece for your gaming table.

We have twelve different Snowmen in 28mm scale. Traditional, Fantasy, Black Powder and Sci Fi. Each is a set of three (or a value pack of twelve) or a full set of all twelve with a saving built in. Snowmen feature in special rules for Flintloque as well which you can find on our BLOG in a series of linked articles.

Our 28mm scale Kitton range of Cat Folk has its own take on the festive vibe with 58018 Santanyan the Gifting Kitoka. Japanese Fantasy! 15mm Christmas Miniatures

Lastly the second half of our Christmas Range page contains all of our 15mm scale festive codes. Snowmen, Xmas Trees, Gingerbread Men, Presents, Snow Monsters, Jack Frost plus HOTT Army and one of each sampler as shown. Great fun and in packs and value bundles too.

Tis the Season plus the Winter Mega Event 2023 officially gets underway on Monday 23rd October (details in full then of course) but the 20% blanket discount on all orders automatically at checkout is active now.

Thanks for your Time.

58021 Kitoka Ashigaru Matchlocks released for Kitton range

The twelfth pack in the expanding 28mm fantasy Kitton range is here and gives some black powder bang to the Catfolk.  There are now some forty poses in the range covering Ashigaru, Samurai, Ronin all with various weapons as well as Villagers and Jigoku the Giant Oni one of the largest models we make. Go HERE.

Part of the wider Flintloque setting of the World of Valon the Kitoka are on track to get their own setting and core rules during 2022 as projects have now resumed at Alternative Armies.

58021 Kitoka Ashigaru Matchlocks: This pack contains four different poses of Catman in Ashigaru armour with separate sword bundle and back banner armed with a Japanese style Tanegashima matchlock musket.  You can choose from pack or poses with in it using the lettered poses in the picture.  As with all other Valon miniatures these are supplied with our resin cartouche bases for free.

Kitoka are about the size of Dwarves such as the Legion de Nain and the Von Rotte Legion and are shorter than Undead such as our 55508 Zombie Line..presently we know of no encounters between the Catfolk of the Shogun and the shamblers of the Dark Czar...

Jigoku is a legend.  A terrible and feared legend among the Kitoka for though almost all Oni are larger than they are Jigoka is the largest of all.  The ground shakes as this giant monster walks and it swings its Kanabo leveling bridges and buildings with ease.  Only the greatest Samurai will face the lord of destruction!

58020: A very large and highly detailed resin kit model. When assembled this Giant Oni stands about 100mm tall and as a small degree of pose choice as well. It carries a Kanabo Spiked Club (90mm long from end to end). Composed of six pieces this model is easy to put together and is durable as it is meant for tabletop use. Shown for scale with 58009B Ronin for scale only.

Ashigaru Archer Catfolk released for Kitton

Four new 28mm Catfolk now in the growing Kitton range at Alternative Armies.  We continue to make releases for the range though slower than expected for 2020 for reasons you will know of (as with happened with the Erin Project) but this new pack takes us up to thirty seven poses plus a giant oni all sculpted by Sam Croes out leader designer.  There are more coming in 2021 and we thank you for your kind words on this new expansion to the World of Valon.  We have Samurai, Ashigaru, Ronin and Villagers.  Each pack can be had on page as single poses too.  Go HERE for the range.

58017 Kitoka Ashigaru Bows. This pack contains four different 28mm scale metal Kitoka Catmen miniatures of an average height of 23mm. The Ashigaru are the foot soldiers of the warlords of Kitton and are armoured carrying a Bow and Quiver of Arrows. They are soldiers for your forces. Each miniature comes with a separate Sword Bundle, Arrow Quiver and Back Banner.

While no game rules exist for the range there are plans to field test a version of the Flintloque 3rd edition engine with a Kitton setting.  This project is currently on hold but will resume next year.

Almost all of the Kitoka are warriors but as the range expands more townsfolk and villagers, as above, as well as yokai (monsters) will make an appearance.

One of the largest models in Alternative Armies array of thousands of miniatures.  The Kitoka face Oni all the time as they fight the strange monsters and also each other. But, among the Oni there is one whose name strikes fear into the bravest of Catfolk. A giant called Jigoku!  The model is over 100mm tall and carries a Kanabo Spiked Club (90mm long from end to end).  See him in the range HERE.

Kitoka Villagers new pack released in the Kitton range

Far from Urop and beyond the Mordredian Wars away from the battle between the Ferach Empire and the alliances against it is a land almost sealed off from the rest of Valon. Sealed by fate and by the tumult caused by the shattering of the bonds of Wylde Magicke.  This land is called Kitton home of the Kitoka.  The Kitoka lived in harmony with the mountainous land around them and under the sway of the strange creatures which inhabited its forests, streams and fields but that was before the great war. Started by the shattering of the laws of Wylde Magicke this war brought chaos to Kitton and great tumult in nature.  This war ended with the titanic battle of Sekimeowara which saw the Kitoka victorious against arrayed magicke creatures.  The war resulted in the rule of the Tiddlesgawa Shogunate.  The feline Kitota live in a rigid society topped by the Daimyo lords then the Samurai warriors, the Ashigaru soldiers below them then the merchants and peasants and the outcast Ronin most lowly of all.  Skirmishes between Daimyo are common as are bandit raids and attacks by monstrous yokai too.  Welcome to Kitton!

Our last news and release for the month is a brand new pack of 28mm Catfolk for the Kitton range.  The first civilians to go with the Ronin, Samurai and Ashigaru already which brings us to twenty five poses.  As promised we have at least one new pack per month and tinkering has begun on an introductory set of rules based on Flintloque.  Go HERE.

58014 Kitoka Villagers
This pack contains four different 28mm scale metal Kitoka Catfolk miniatures of an average height of 23mm.  Villagers populate the land and in many ways suffer the privations of not only roaming yokai and other monsters but also Ronin and cruel Samurai too.  The poses are: (A) Kitoka Youth with water bucket. (B) Kitoka Young Female with fan.  (C) Kitoka villager with bag.  (D) Elder Kitoka leaning on a staff.  Great characters for your table.

These miniatures are supplied with bases and are supplied unpainted. Select your choice from the drop down product menu. Choose from a pack and single miniatures to by letter code. Total choice! Assembly is required with some white metal miniatures. Other miniatures shown for scale only and not supplied.

Sculpted by Sam Croes these fantastical Japanese style miniatures are lovely and as the collection grows we will add more villagers, nobles and even monsters..but more on that in months to come.  Have a browse HERE.

This is a model which is suitable for tabletop gaming in several scales.  It looks grand in shades of orange!

DRG5 Ki-Shu Oriental Dragon
Creatures of guardianship and friendship as much as destruction the oriental dragon is a potent symbol and a great model to use in your games. You can put this dragon in to any game system of your choice.  Here is a photo of Ki-Shu next to a 15mm scale Sengoku miniature and a 28mm scale Kitton miniature both in the style of Japanese fantasy.

Click on the images above to see the four poses in the new pack much larger.  There are now twenty Catmen in the range!

Alternative Armies is currently working on its plans for next year.  The first year in the new roaring twenties!  Alongside Flintloque, High Fantasy and other projects and titles there is provisional news on Kitton for you.  We will be continuing our promise to release at least one new code into the range each month.  We are going to continue to fill out the military poses of the Samurai and the Ashigaru building towards skirmish section sized forces.  The islands of Kitton will see the first packs of civilians and specialised poses following up on the Ronin which will include female Kitoka.  It is planned to introduce some of the Yokai and creatures to this more Magicke land as well.  Lastly once the range reaches a sufficient size I will be penning a Kitton version of Flintloque the Skirmish which will likely be along the lines of 5024 Escape the Dark Czar meaning a beginning place for the game.  We have been so pleased with the response to this new land that we are sticking full with it.  If you have a question or want to suggest something for Kitton please do so by email to sales@alternative-armies.com and I will come back to you.

A special treat for you now as an end to this article.  There were a series of lovely photos taken over the last couple of months and only two of these have been seen so far.  So here they all are now.  If you view these on our blog you can click on each to make them much large.  All of the miniatures are in the KITTON RANGE.
