Another Cold Dawn a Free Flintloque Scenario

Part two of the World of Valon articles to enjoy.  Following the recent release of the 55524 Skeletov Cossacks we present a full size free Flintloque scenario which sees them face off against Elf Dragoons in a snowy cavalry action. Weak rays.  Always weak.  The sun here took the seemingly endless ink of night away in this accursed land but it never made it truly day. Not the day of Armorica where the grass was lush and green.  Where the maidens danced with flowers in their hair and smiled at dashing young officers about to make a name for themselves fighting the savage races.

“Captain.  I think we are about to have some company. Riders a league off.”

Captain Pierre Sanson of the 22nd Line Dragoons was dragged from his memories and pleasures once known back into the now.  The now which had his beard coated in frost and the metal of his helmet able to remove the skin from unprotected hands. Reaching down to pat the neck of his horse he felt the animal shivering despite its thick blankets and saddle fittings. He cooed it and soothed it. This campaign had been the worst any Elf had ever seen; worse than the sands of Aegpyt.

He knew it was the enemy before he gazed into the distance and it was.  It was no mortal cavalry.  The horses were nothing but bones animated by some Wylde Magicke unknown in civilised Urop and their riders the same. Leering skulls with bright blue sashes and caps. Wicked swords raised in silent challenge....

Adventurers Party 1993 by Andy Cooper remastered returned to website

We are delighted to present returned to our website the ten poses of the Adventuring Party sculpted in 1993 for Alternative Armies by Andy Cooper.  Along with remastering them we now have them in new pictures and they are as singles and a set of all ten.  See them along with Evil Adventurers, Halfling Walking Party, a Wizards Progress, Deadly Foes, Classic Fighters and more.  Great for any game system in 28mm scale.

FL22 Adventurers Party:  Made up of the original codes of FL13 and FL14 you can enter the dungeon or the wild woods with Fighters, Thieves, Cleric, Bard, Barbarian, Half Orc and Female Halfling.  Metal miniatures in 28mm scale in the 90’s style.

Save with the set of all ten or seek out the singles as codes FL22-01 to FL22-10 such as FL22-02 The Bard above.

Our ongoing process of offering all miniatures as value packs and singles is now just about complete on the Adventurers and Wizards Range which includes the remastered Winter Knight (FL10) on foot and also mounted on a superb armoured horse.

Right now we have not begun on the Dwarfish Host Range as it still has its original images with packs (choose singles within the packs) but we have refreshed the molds of the Dwarf Runic Golem.  This magic construct stands 65mm tall and is easy to put together.

Sharkes Victory 1997 set remastered released and Flintloque news

Captain Sharke of the 105th Rifles is dead!  Or is he?  Believed murdered by the infamous Half-Elf Daniel La Roo the dashing raised from the ranks soldier is in fact still alive.  He is in hiding while secretly trying to foil a Ferach plot to assassinate the Iron Duke himself.  While Sergeant Harpy and the Rifleorcs mourn they are unaware of the danger posed to Wheeling-Turn.  Will Sharke save the day?

Originally released 1997 5004 Sharkes Victory was the first scenario set for Flintloque.  It contained a booklet of scenarios and special rules along with sixteen metal miniatures.  We have now remastered those miniatures and for the first time you can purchase the set with a saving or choose any single pose from it.

Lettered A to O we have Captain Sharke, Wheeling-Turn the Iron Duke, Sergeant Harpy, Augustus O’Toole, Colonel La Roo, Major D’Kless as well as foot and mounted Elves and Rifleorcs.  Useful characters for many other adventures as each comes with a resin base.

The original 1997 booklet for 5004 Sharkes Victory has been retired as it’s mechanics do not fit with Flintloque 3rd edition. Fear not.  In the works an overhauled and expanded booklet which will include all that was in the original by Marc Bacon with Mac Coxhead and more. The three scenarios updated to 3rd edition; new special rules and fiction too.  It will feature artwork by Edward Jackson (such as the above) and be published as a free to download booklet.

51024 4er Voltiguers: This remastered pack contains four different 28mm scale metal Elf light infantry armed with muskets.  These miniatures feature in 5004 Sharkes Victory and can be part of your Ferach sections too.  Choose from the pack or single poses within it.

54027 105th Rifle Skirmish: This remastered pack contains three different 28mm scale metal Orcs of the famous rifle regiment.  These miniatures feature in 5004 Sharkes Victory and can be part of your Greate Britorcn sections too.  Choose from the pack or single poses within it.

Elves and Weapon Sprue Pt2 Asgard restoring the Dungeon Adventurers 1980s range

Following on the first part of restoring this venerable range back to the world further Elves of the Dungeon Adventurers along with the well requested Weapons Sprue. Sculptors who worked on this 1980’s range for Asgard included Nick Bibby, Jes Goodwin and Steve Trickett.  We will be getting more of Jes Goodwin’s Orcs back to the world later this summer but for now enjoy!

Fine foes for the Dragon Lizards or forest creatures like the Spiders of the Fantasy Range these Elves round out the first five with four more. This very large range contained some ninety poses all in and it is our intent to bring these back to you in groups across time.  We are now up to twenty two.  All the miniatures were painted by the talented Studio Maxi and all are singles on the website. 

Encountering the Orcs of Asgard the Elves have a foe indeed to overcome. 

One thing asked for many, many times during our restoring efforts was to get DAS83 the Weapons Sprue back in the world.  Happy to say it is now on the website!

Elves Pt1 by Nick Bibby in 1980s Asgard range restore Dungeon Adventurers

The reviving of Asgard and Tabletop Miniatures ranges is ongoing and with the recent start of the Dungeon Adventurers Range being re-released (a dozen Dwarfs by Nick Bibby, Jes Goodwin and Steve Trickett already) we now have part one of the Elves. Part two of the Elves will follow in a few weeks time (not quite ready yet) but for now five metal 28mm miniatures. 

 

 

First created and sold in the early 1980’s, sculpted by legends of the time these miniatures are the natural foes of the Fantasy Monster Range and allies or enemies of the Creatures of Chaos or Jes Goodwin Orcs. 

 

This very large range contained some ninety poses all in and it is our intent to bring these back to you in groups across time. We are now up to seventeen poses. All the miniatures were painted by the talented Studio Maxi and while shown here in a group they are all as singles on the website. Here are the codes:

Free Solo Play Flintloque Scenario: House on the Hille...

“Use your Loaf...if you can.”

A brand new full size scenario for Flintloque has been uploaded to our Free Downloads Page on the website and here too.  It joins a growing array of newer Flintloque resources going back to 2016 and the huge zipped folders of older material which you can find at the foot on the Free Downloads page.  Enjoy!

House on the Hille: Solo full size scenario for Flintloque.  There is an intact oven left in the hands of the Al-Garvey Goblins and the Ferach Armee wants it?  It belongs to a farmer whose little house is next to it upon a hill.  Luckily the 18th Foote has gotten there first but can a combined force of Elf Lancers and Legion de Nain Dwarves dislodge them in time to gain bread for their fellows? Dismounted Elf Lancers released for Flintloque

Final new releases for Flintloque and Slaughterloo for the year are here. Adding to the Elves of Armorica and their battles in the Witchlands or elsewhere we have a much requested code and a remastered one too. If you use lancers in your games or wish to expand your sections with them without a horse then these are for you. Hobby Time: Wargrunt Art’s take on HOT27 Griffin 15mm and a wee conversion

Shared kindly with permission from the photos of Wargrunt Art over on Facebook their take not only on the HOT27 Griffen but also a wee conversion of the saddled version which normally mounts an Elf Hero and has rather a 16th Century Renaissance rider upon it. 

 

 

A useful creature for any game system and a favourite for Elf Armies in rules such as HOTT 2nd Edition this is a natural take on the Griffen done by Wargrunt Art. Here is an all angles view. 

 

You can follow Wargrunt Art on their Facebook Page. This three piece metal 15mm Monster is 30mm tall when assembled. It is one of many monsters in the HOT 15mm Fantasy Range which has over 160 different packs all of which have a ‘sampler’ option. 

 

 

HOT117 Elf Hero on Griffen gives you a rider upon the creature which is complete with a saddle and reins. It gives you the option on page to purchase the pack or the rider or mount in its own. Wargrunt Art decided upon a Human rider and who knew that MRC12 French Gendarme meant for a horse would fit on the monster’s back no problem! It looks lovely and well done! 

 

The range contains many choices of 15mm High Elves including a Hero on Griffen or on Wyvern alongside artillery, eagle riders, chariot, cavalry, foot and mounted command and many types of infantry too.

59001 Czarlingrad Character pack 1998 returns for Flintloque

A code which has long, long been out of production and now it has come back to the range.  This is the first of a two stage Flintloque piece of news.  The other part being that the excellent novella Czarlingrad from 1998 written by Mike Roberts (author of Slaughterloo) return not only as an easy print free PDF with updated character rules and scenarios to 3rd edition but that it will include part two of the novella continuing the story. Newly written by Mike Roberts himself!  That will happen in August but now we present the miniatures!

59001 Czarlingrad Character Pack:  This pack contains the three primary protagonists of the novella and a great for heading up for your Ferach Empire section or your Undead of the Dark Czar section.  You can purchase the pack or single poses from it.  Captain Jacques de Payen (A) once in the elite Imperial Guard he is a survivor of Czarlingrad and now leads a rag tag group of survivors.  Sergeant Otto von Stumpenstein (B) of the Confederation of Finklestein sole living member of his original regiment hardly feels the cold and follows de Payen.  Count Valdimir Kustosov (C) former overlord of Czarlingrad needs to prove his loyalty to the Dark Czar after his failures and leads his Zombies and Skeletons after the Ferach (this miniature is also on the website as 55017).  28mm scale metal miniatures supplied with bases.

5002 Deadloque 1998 and 5002 Deadloque Miniatures:  All can be found in the Undead of the Dark Czar pages of the website.  These were the Flintloque core miniatures at the time of Czarlingrad (1998) and they have been restored as paid digital download and remastered miniatures.  Along with 55508 Zombie Line they are very useful for your games in the Witchlands.

5024 Escape the Dark Czar:  The Begin in Flintloque range is centered on General Saindoux and his retreat from the burning hell of Moskova.  A starting point of ten miniatures and three scenarios which can branch off in any direction using your Flintloque figures.  There are further releases to expand the Undead, Scenics, Elves and more plus free scenarios taking further the adventure.   Have a look.

Legionaries of the Shia Khan pt12 the last of the Ion Age 28mm overhaul

Welcome to the final update at the end of the massive overhauling project of the 28mm Ion Age range.  We present twenty eight remolded Legionaries of the Khanate in packs and now singles with all new images. The last restoring in the over 220 poses of this venerable range.

"Shia Khan Legionaries. The main fighting formation used by the Khanate Empire is the Legion. Its exact structure is a mystery but what is known is that the majority of the troops in a Legion are Legionaries dressed in reactive glimmer suits with auto aid and breather systems in their helms. Legionaries operate in Tesserans of eight typically with mixed or similar weapons. There are also Monocycle and Deathwheel motorised sections along with portable weapons in a typical Legion. They are stubborn foes not given to easy retreat. Legionaries are taller than a Human and more lithe, graceful in their movements. Few are seen without their helmets but those observed have pointed ears and roughly Human features though their eyes are narrower and lilac hued, all matched with cruel mouths and angular noses and jaw lines."

Legionaries are the core of a Shia Khan Legion and are in command of Maligs and Betrayers along with Warlords and Psycoborgs and others.  The best of them become Nox and some become Assaulters and Pioneers too.  There are many Legions such as the Styx Legion, the Medusa Legion and the Cyclopes Legion.

Excepting for the mighty Psycoborgs and big Beotan Lycanthropes we are currently working on which will be revealed next month as we ran out of time (Asgard remastering of the Fantasy Range ran over but more on that in August) for now; sorry!
