Asgard FM Fantasy Range 1980's returns pt2 fifth round Monsters!

Earlier this month the first of two parts of the fifth round of restored classic 1980's miniatures by Asgard were put onto the website (details HERE) and now its time for the second part; Monsters! Sculpted by such legends as Jez Goodwin, Nick Bibby, Steve Trickett and Tony Ackland among others. These seven restored codes are all in metal and are from the FM Range. You can see the whole range nearing eighty returned HERE and we have a new page just for Nick Bibby's work at Asgard HERE by request. His work features heavily in this news. 

 

 

This time it is the turn of the monsters and creatures. From a mighty Griffon and Manticore to a Norse Giant and Trolls but not forget the chaotic Psionic Flayer. 

 

We hope you have enjoyed the fifth round. That is all for this month but next month we will have a rather special large miniature carefully returned and then in March after weeks of careful restoring work..oh my...such a huge shadow in the skies... 

 

 

Space Marines and Adventurers. The classic 1980's range of 28mm Asgard science fiction began for us with the space marines. These superb miniatures are restored and great for near future and moon settings. Elven codes and a saver set with one of everything. 

 

 

We will continue our restoring of classic ranges and models by Tabletop Miniatures and Asgard Miniatures and we hope you have been enjoying it. MP10 Apothecary: Great for use in any game system or a diorama or your wargame collection.  One metal miniature which is 28mm tall to the top of his head.  A dispenser of potions and balms dressed in robes and a skull cap hand clasped before him. Supplied unpainted and without a base.  Shown on a 25mm square cartouche resin base.

This fine fellow joins all of the tables, chairs, benches as well as Carousers and Landlord in the range but he would also be totally at home alongside our 59535 Ruined Apothecary Barricades in our 28mm Scenic Range.

MPS9 Wagon Set classic 28mm Tabletop Games added to Guild Room

We are busy working away on many projects (not as many as normal though and smaller) and among these is the 'Guild Room' where classic 28mm scale scenics and sets are returned to the world.  The Tabletop Games range was created in the 1980's and is beloved all over the world.  Gradually it is returning.  Today it is the turn of the Wagon Set which is now a pack and parts of pack in any quantity.  It joins the entire Wizards Workshop collection and other pieces already in the Guild Room HERE.

MPS9 Wagon Set

Contains metal miniatures which are a two wheeled cart which can be left open at the rear or closed.  A Mule which fits between the spars of the cart or can be used on its own.  A Wagonner with arm raised to lead the Mule.  A Woman with swaddled Baby.  Great for any game system.

Come into the Bar Room we have the furniture all laid out

As the Summer Campaign event 2020 draws towards its close on 1st September we are happy to present to you the first codes from the classic 1980's scenic range 'The Bar Room' which we have brought back to the world.  Originally from Tabletop Games these 28mm pieces fit into any fantasy or historical setting as well as roleplay and dungeon crawl.  We shall be continuing with these codes as the year progresses. The Oval Table, the Large Table, Long Bench Seat, Chair and Set of Shelves.  All of these are released as single codes and all save for the Shelves can be had in a bundle with a saving of about ten percent as well.  These pieces go excellently with the Wizards Workshop miniatures which are all in the Guild Room too.  Potions, Books, Scrolls, Bags & Capes.  You can see in the pictures here how well they suit.

Wizards Workshop 28mm classic scenics are all back!

 It is my pleasure to announce that the classic 1980's Tabletop Games wargame terrain collection called 'The Wizards Workshop' is now back in production at Alternative Armies.  Following up on Laserburn, Asgard Barbarians and the Torture Chamber ranges these models are back in the world.  See them all on the Guild Room page HERE or read on for more information.

 

Very useful for your wargaming table as well as for dungeon crawl and dioramas too.  Piles of books and scrolls as well as a magic mirror and ornate table and who does not love skulls topped with candles.  Twelve codes including a Cauldron on a fire.  Many uses in your games.

Guild Room 28mm returns with Wizard on Throne and Drunken Carousers

Alternative Armies is bringing the Guild Room back to the website and it starts here with two classic codes in new molds.  The Guild Room contains 28mm scale metal and resin scenery and characters great for historical or fantasy wargaming or simply collecting.  Go HERE or read on for more.

The codes in the Guild Room are the Asgard and Tabletop Games miniatures from the 1980's which have been brought back to the world.  Under this header name will be the Wizards Workshop (WW) collection, the Bar Room (BR) collection, the Marketplace collection and others as they were originally titled.  We are using original codes when possible.

WW1 Wizard on Throne

A classic 28mm scale scenic set for collections or dungeon crawl and adventures. Contains four metal miniatures these being Throne (with a demon perched upon it and a leering face on its rear 40mm tall), a sitting Wizard reading a spell book, the Young Apprentice in robes with a broom (28mm) and the Wizards Familiar a crouch hairy little creature (15mm tall). You can purchase the set or parts of the set. Supplied unpainted and without bases.  

BR23 Drunken Carousers

A classic 28mm scenic set for your townscape or collection. Contains two metal miniatures these being a chair and the carousing couple. When sat on the chair the models combine to 28mm tall. There is an element of female nudity in this code. Censored in main image. You can choose from the pack or the two elements from it. Supplied unpainted and without bases.

In the Fell Lords (FL) codes there is a pack among the warriors, adventurers, wizards, knights and more which gives me the shivers.  It is this pack...FL19 Guild Assassins.  Not Undead, not creepy at all but rather a nightmare which will come for you in the darkness without sound.  Now released.  Here is a pack that needs to be in your collection.  Fantastic 28mm white metal miniatures for any system. TOR1 The Whipping Beam at Alternative Armies

This week we have the first re-release, under Project Darkhelm, of a classic display set in 25mm scale. From the Guild Room range of quality white metal dungeon and wargame scenics we present to you...The Whipping Beam.  Please note that due to the nude aspect of this release the censored version has been used on all public forums.  Go HERE.

This is a classic set originally seen in the early 1980's from Tabletop Miniatures and though its taken us a while to get it back to the market we are pretty pleased with the results.  Its a set with a variety of uses in scenarios or just for collecting as there are many more to come from us when they are back in production.  Its rather complex to put together so we have made up a new IKEA style diagram (good eh!) for assembly guidance.

This diorama set is composed of seven white metal 25mm scale parts.  These are the pillar, the pillar base, the restraining rope, the hook mount, the hand restraints the Captive Nude Woman and the Whipmaster.
