There's Snow One Like You

December already? It rolled into our neck of the woods at a brisk 22 degrees this morning... brrr! How about a frosty little card for the occasion. Once again from the batch of cards I had ready to go. This one is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I used the line Snow, Animal & Frame

This cute little snow globe is from MFT. I filled it with some snowy patterned paper, confetti and a penguin from PPP. The base of the globe was stamped with a wood grain image (POD). I think the MFT Wonky Rectangles framed it out perfectly! A few more frosty flakes and punny sentiment (PPP) were added before popping everything onto a swirly panel (Lil' Inkers - sadly closed and no longer available).

So I have a new accessory for the month of December. Attractive, isn't it! Maybe I'll stick a Christmas bow on it LOL! Physical therapy started yesterday. It's going to be a bit of a slow go and a long haul. I still have a lot of swelling and bruising so small minimal movements this month.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks to all of those who have been checking in and those leaving well wishes. You know how to make a girl feel loved!

Silent Night

Hello sweet peeps, I'm back again! This time with a reminder that you still have time to join us at CAS Christmas! Who doesn't love a little sparkle and/or shine for the holidays? And let's face it, who doesn't need to add to their Christmas card stash?

I used the same scallop circle frame die (TSM) that was on my first card, this time it's the large die. The sweet image it's framing is on oldie called Little Angels by Stampendous. The furry parts of their coats and hats have a heavy layer of sparkly Stickles on them. The wings were flooded with a glittery Gelly Roll pen. I think the playful font on this sentiment (DD) pairs well with the cute stamped image!

Your turn... bring on the sparkle, bring on the shine!

Joy

Hi there and happy Labor Day Weekend to my US friends! Why not add a little 'Sparkle and Shine' to your holiday with an entry at CAS Christmas?

You'll want to pop over to the blog to check out what the team and our Guest Designer JoAnn (Crafty Nana's Blog) have to share today. I put together this little easy peasy number!

My sparkle comes in the form of a scallop circle frame (TSM). I added one of my ancient snowman (PSX) images to the center. Isn't he cute! The stars and snow were filled in with Stickles for more sparkle. I popped this onto the star embossed card base then added the PTI tiny tag holding the sentiment. It was topped off with a little shine in the form of a single rhinestone!

Okay, now it's your turn to glam up our gallery with whatever sparkle and shine suits your fancy!

Merry Christmas

Hello friends! I'm popping is today with a reminder for our August CAS Christmas challenge. It's never too early to get started on your Christmas card stash!

I bought this lovely Memory Box Pointed Pine Needle Frame die a couple of years ago. I think I've only used it once... shame on me! It's added to the embossed card base with fun foam. My sentiment is PTI and the snowflakes, Simply Graphic. Quick and easy to duplicate in case I get in a rut!

Thanks so much for visiting. I hope to see your Pine themed cards in our CAS Christmas gallery!

Merry Christmas

When I hear the word pine, I think of my grandfather. Way back when CB radios were the thing, he would sit in his little at home workshop, a small room in his garage and talk with folks on the radio. If you know about CB radios, you didn't use your real name, you had a handle instead. A tall pine tree stood outside the window of his workshop, so he became known as Tall Pine. How I would love to be that little girl watching him use his CB radio saying "This here's the Tall Pine" once again. I created my CAS Christmas card is in memory of him!

I think you'll understand why I couldn't resist this group of tall pine trees by Simply Graphic. You probably know which one represents my grandfather too! A peaceful view through a MFT peek-a-boo window that brought back childhood memories.

Thanks so much for stopping by. We do hope you'll join us and our two August guest designers Elizabeth (Paper Sweetness) & Lucie (Lucie G Cards)!

Ho, Ho, Ho!

Hello lovelies! I'm popping in today with a reminder card for CAS Christmas. You still have time to play along with Barb's SANTA challenge!

I used my Santa Shaker (TSM) again and actually made it into a shaker! Imagine that! PPP's Berry Bright sequins pointed me in my color direction. I inked some ancient Hero Arts alphabet and snowflake stamps using pinks and greens to match those sequins. Cute huh!

I hoped I've  inspired you to join us!

We're just got back from a Virginia Beach vacation, so I'll catch up with comments soon. It was nice to unplug and enjoy family time. Lots of sun, sand, waves ...and food!

Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome! It's time for a new challenge at CAS Christmas! Barb is our hostess this month and she's looking for that jolly old elf, Santa!

Can you believe I have not one Santa in my collection? I did recently purchase this adorable Santa Shaker die from The Stamp Market so I was good to go! I embossed the card base and part of the hat with a pretty 3D EF from SSS. Lots of Stickles went onto the white portions of the hat ~ so sparkly! I pulled out my favorite Christmas sentiment set from The Greetery to finish off my card.

Wishing all of my US friends a Happy 4th of July weekend! If you squeeze in some stamping time, we sure hope you'll join us!

Peace on Earth

Hey there sweet peeps! I'm popping in today with a reminder for the June CAS Christmas challenge! I've used the same PTI set that I used on my previous card.

Take a look...

Once again, I started by die cutting several wreath pieces (Joyous Holiday). This time, I shaped them into an oval. Before adhering my wreath to the rustic cream card front, I stamped the sentiment (PTI ~ Love Lives Here: Holiday). I added a few pine branches and a sweet red bow (PTI ~ Bells and Boughs).

And there you have it.

You still have to time to play along and we sure hope you do!

Merry Christmas

I've been sitting on a bit of happy news for a while and can finally spill the beans! I'm excited to share that I'm now designing for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge ~ insert cartwheel... like I could really do one!! They've been on hiatus, but are back with loads of new challenges and heaps of inspiration.

Lets get to it!

We're kicking things off with wreaths.

It just so happens I picked up a PTI set during a sale that worked perfectly!

The set is called Joyous Holiday. I die cut a few wreath parts using a polka dot kraft paper. Next I layered on a few sprigs and golden stars. My hand cut sign was stamped with a woodgrained image (POD) before adding the die cut sentiment.  I popped this onto a 4 1/4' x 4 1/4" base that was dry embossed with a snowfall folder (SG). Looks like polka dots to me ~ win, win!

Okay, your turn. Here's a little refresher for you!

Lets go see what the team has to share!

Guesting at CAS Christmas!

Hello and welcome! I'm ringing in the new year with the team at the CAS Christmas Card Challenge as their guest designer! What better way to celebrate than with the wonderfully festive Silver and Gold. Let's get to it!

I stamped a variety of snowflakes (PTI: Peace Be Still) then heat embossed them in silver and gold. Next I added a cute MFT owl in the center. He's on an action wobbler! I used silver and gold colored pencils to bring him to life. My brother's birthday is later this month. I think he'll enjoy this feathery fella!

I think all of my sparkly embossed snowflakes qualify this one for The Paper Players challenge!

Thanks so much for popping in today. I do hope you'll find time to play along with us. Let's go see what the team has to share!

Noel

Hey sweet peeps! Did you have a good weekend? We attended a birthday party for a very special (almost!) seven year old! She wanted to have her Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Leonardo is her favorite) party at a bowling alley!

 Preparty pose!

I know a card could never compare to this cuteness, but you came here for one, right? I made this one a couple of days ago with no challenge intended. Then I realized it would work for CAS Christmas and the Tic, Tac, Toe challenge.

CAS Christmas is looking for critters and I happen to love these two (CCC)! Some pretty patterned paper was stacked to create a couple of large gifts for the mice to stand on. I fancied up those gifts with some felt holly, rhinestone berries and ribbon tails. The mice are making off with a polka dot package. That would probably be my choice too! I've used the diagonal line from Tic, Tac, Toe ~ Holiday, Free, Gift.

Thanks ever so much for visiting with me!

Be Merry!

I've had the CAS Christmas red and gray challenge on my mind and finally got a card made.  Take a look..

I adore this sweet Purple Onion Design bunny to bits! He's popped up on a panel stamped with some old Hero Arts snowflakes and The Greetery sentiments. I did a bit of partial stenciling (WF) in the background. I love what the pops of bright red add to this. Hope you do too!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Peace on Earth

Hey there! I guess it's been awhile, sorry for the absence here. Just going about the business of life and summer with a little lack of mojo thrown in! I'm jumping back in head first with a Christmas in July card to add to my sorry little stash. This is for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge

I pulled out an older Altenew set along with a couple of their inks. After stamping the poinsettias and their leaves, I used the same inks and my waterbrush to wash on some color. Next came some PRS splatters and finally a Rubber Cottage sentiment.

Hope you're all doing well and enjoying your summer. We finally have a break from the extreme heat and I'm down with that! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July!

Oh boy, has it been hot enough for you? I love summer, but the high 90's and humidity, not so much! Air conditioning and a little card making helps one to get through days like that. Especially when your thoughts go to cooler weather and a Christmas card! I'm playing along with a new to me challenge that I discovered on my friend Marcia's blog. It's called CAS Christmas.

I probably should have read the rules before making my card. They say no pattern. As you can see, I do have that little patterned tag. And maybe the dry embossing is considered to be a pattern... don't know.

Anyway, I went with clean lines and I hope they like it. I also have one more made for my (very small!) stash of Christmas cards!
