Just Us Girls #785 ~ Happy Day

Hello, friends! We have a new challenge up on the Just Us Girls blog today. It's STENCIL WEEK and I had such a good time creating my card. Take a look...

I started with a PPP bokeh stencil set. After my stenciling was complete, I die cut it with a PTI postage die. The outer frame portion was cut twice again so the inner panel could sink in. I adore this Anita Jeram bunny from Colorado Craft. Isn't he just the sweetest little fella! There's just a touch of gray shading added to him along with a little blush pink in his ear and on his nose.

It's your turn now, what stencil will you pick? Come on, you know you have a few to choose from and I can't wait to see what you create for our gallery!

Just Us Girls #761 ~ I Love You

Our new die cut challenge at Just Us Girls seems to be a big success! We enjoyed seeing all of your cards last month using your dies. I'm the hostess this week and I'm looking for heart die cuts. I know you have some of those in your stash! A new month also means a new guest designer will be joining us. Welcome, Stephanie we so happy to have you!

And now for my card...

I've paired one of my favorite Poppystamps cover plates (Nordic Flourish Background) with one of my favorite Papertrey Ink heart dies (On the Border: From the Heart Border). Ivory cardstock and some vintage October Afternoon paper did the trick along with a wee sentiment by the Colorado Craft Company

 Okay, your turn

I look forward to seeing what heart dies you choose!

I'll be linking this up over at The Paper Players.

They have a 'love is in the air challenge' this week.

The girls at Double D Challenges are looking for hearts!

Sundae Funday!

Hi friends! I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I'm popping in today with a card for Freshly Made Sketches. Squeezing this one in at the last minute!

I was looking at paper to use for another card challenge when I came across these strips. October Afternoon for the reds and Basic Grey (I think) for the blue. Hmmm, the perfect size for FMS.  I had one of those light bulb moments and this card was the result! They went onto a vanilla base with a little ric rac. I stamped, Copic colored and die cut this cutie little CC bunny and I was good to go!

Speaking of good to go, this better go to their gallery before I run out of time! Thanks for visiting!

Just Us Girls #700 & a giveaway!

We're celebrating 700 challenges at Just Us Girls!!  In honor of our milestone, some of the DT members are giving away prizes on their personal blogs! To be eligible to win, you must comment on the DT member's blog that has a prize offered and play along in this week's challenge. All winners will also be announced on the JUGs blog.

I will be giving away one of my Sweet Pea stamp sets! In case you're not familiar with this set, I designed it several years ago for our granddaughter Penelope that we call Sweet P. The sentiments are in my own handwriting! It was originally available at Precious Remembrance Shop, but is now my own. One lucky winner will be chosen at random. Perhaps Sweet P herself will do the picking!

I added these cutie patootie CCC mice to some equally cute polka dot paper! This pair just makes me smile. Copic coloring and a few gems. Easy peasy!

Okay peeps, it's your turn. We do hope you'll join us for our celebration. Don't forget to visit the team to say hello!

Just Us Girls #696 ~ I See the Moon...

Hey there and happy Saturday! It's time for a new Just Us Girls challenge. Bobby is hosting this week and her word choice is MOON. I knew just the stamp set I would use. Check it out...

My mom and I were in a little shop on Mackinac Island several years ago when she spotted a pottery sign with this saying on it. She told me it was something my dad often said.  I never knew that! She bought the sign and I bought this stamp set a few years later!

After stenciling the brick, I cut out the arched opening for a window. It was the perfect spot for this little mouse (CCC) to sit and look up at the moon! I'll set this one aside for my dad.

Alright peeps, your turn to moon us!!!

Being Patient...

Sweet P got a puppy for Christmas and he has his first birthday coming up this fall! She likes that they share the same birthday month, so I can't let his go by without a card. He's a berne-labra-doodle, so he's a big boy! All black with just a little white strip down his chest.

I was a lucky winner at Colorado Craft Company this summer. I picked their Anita Jeram ~ Stay Pawsitive set because the pup reminded me of Crosby. Oh yeah, that's his name! She named him after her favorite hockey player! I think he'll fit right in at The Paper Players this week. They're looking for four legged friends.

He's stamped with black ink, then again with Versa Mark and clear embossed. I was holding my breath that he would turn out colored all black... and he did! Next came a little ink blending followed by the flowers (IO) and sentiment. I added a polka dot panel cut with MFT's Wonky Rectangles. The butterflies were last minute additions due to an ink smudge!

Okay, off this goes to the gallery and off I go to the grocery store!

Sundae Funday

Hey there! It's CAS week at Just Us Girls. Nancy is hosting and she would like to see coloring on those cards of yours!

This little bunny from CCC always brings a smile to my face! I started with a bit of ink blending on a white card base then anchored it with a strip of polka dot paper. I colored my bunny with Copics then added him, a sentiment and a sprinkling of rhinestones to the card. A little coloring, lots of white and a generous portion of cute!

Now it's your turn! Can't wait to see what you color up for us!

Happy Birthday

Hey there! We've decided to add a CAS challenge to our weekly rotation at Just Us Girls. YAY!! The hostess will chose the theme to go along with it. This week, Carol is looking for BIRTHDAY cards. We all need those!

I started with some partial stenciling on my card base. My sweet friend, Marcia sent me this Gina K birthday sentiment a couple of months ago. The letters spelling out HAPPY were white. I colored them with a Copic maker. The wee mouse and hamster were left over from some CCC images my other sweet friend Michele sent me. Aren't crafty friends the best friends! I do need a play date with these gals!

The position of hamster's arms lead me to coloring more card stock and punching out some itty bitty confetti for him to toss. I think the little mouse is pleased with the festivities! Probably waiting for cake too!

Okay, your turn to fill our gallery with birthday happiness!

Noel

Hey sweet peeps! Did you have a good weekend? We attended a birthday party for a very special (almost!) seven year old! She wanted to have her Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Leonardo is her favorite) party at a bowling alley!

 Preparty pose!

I know a card could never compare to this cuteness, but you came here for one, right? I made this one a couple of days ago with no challenge intended. Then I realized it would work for CAS Christmas and the Tic, Tac, Toe challenge.

CAS Christmas is looking for critters and I happen to love these two (CCC)! Some pretty patterned paper was stacked to create a couple of large gifts for the mice to stand on. I fancied up those gifts with some felt holly, rhinestone berries and ribbon tails. The mice are making off with a polka dot package. That would probably be my choice too! I've used the diagonal line from Tic, Tac, Toe ~ Holiday, Free, Gift.

Thanks ever so much for visiting with me!

Celebrate!

Brace yourselves... can you believe our Sweet P will be SEVEN next week??!! My goodness the years have flown by, that's for sure. I'm sharing her birthday card with you today and I'll be linking it up at the Happy Little Stampers in their November Anything Goes With Dies challenge.

I die cut some sweet fall paper (Carta Bella) to create a couple of hills for the darling CCC bunny to frolic in. Stenciled clouds (MFT) provided the perfect background for the glittered balloon! I tucked in a mini tag (PPP) to hold the sentiment.

Thank you, Michele for sending me those CCC die cuts. This darling bunny was perfect for our sweet autumn birthday girl's card!

Gramma and papa will be giving our little baking apprentice an Easy Bake Oven! Some extra mixes, little heart shaped pans and small baking tools will accompany it. She LOVES baking with me, so we think she'll be pretty excited!

Have a Sweet Day!

Did you ever make a card that you couldn't stop looking at? I made one of those today! This one will be added to the Seize the Birthday challenge using their topping option of embossing folders.

I picked up a Tim Holtz embossing folder on Etsy the other day and this was the perfect opportunity to put it to work! I've had my new Colorado Craft: Sundae Funday set sitting on my desk for a few days just waiting to be used as well. Are these two things not a perfect match? I'm in love with this sweet bunny! A few rhinestones and an IO sentiment brought it all together. Like I said... I can't stop looking at it!

*Edit* Thanks for your comment, Connie! I hope you check back here for your answer. The embossing folder is called Beaded Garland. It was the last one from the shop I found on Etsy. Maybe a Google search would help you find one. I would be happy to send you a few panels. Just send me an email with your info!

Thanks for spending some of your day with me!
