PP #426 ~ Love You

Hidy ho! Popping in for a quick minute with this little number I put together for this week's Paper Players challenge. I used the sketch to make Valentines for my there  great nephews!

My brother's oldest has three adorable little boys. A four year old and almost three year old twins. Yep, she's got her hands full, but she's such a good mama. It made my heart happy when they asked her if Aunt Lisa would be there (my parent's house) on Christmas day. We have a good time together, those little munchkins and me ~ hee!

I pulled out an older ME set for their Valentines. The xoxo sentiment is from PTI's Tiny Tags, heart PTI and the postage stamp is Spellbinders. Easy peasy for my three little buds! I'll send these off to them in New York with some sweet treats.

Stay warm, it's cooold out there!!

PP #414 ~ Hello Friend!

Hey there! Our week has gotten off to a cold, gloomy and wet start. I'm taking advantage of it with a little crafty time! I always enjoy playing along with The Paper Players. Jaydee has a color challenge for us this week. Here's my take on it.

I was drawn to the warm autumn palette but didn't want to stay completely in that box. I wanted a card that would work anytime of the year and I think this one fits the bill. The sentiment is a PPP die cut and that pretty little wreath is by SSS. Add in those polka dots and well, you know I'm a happy girl!

Wishing you a blessed day!

Back to School!

Hello! I have a back to school project today. Another little number put together with my 12 Kits of Occasions August kit (Teacher's Pet). I'll be entering this one at both The Paper Players and CASology.

The adorable Lawn Fawn milk carton came into play again using Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 4 and Stitched Tags dies to decorate it. I punched the Precious Remembrance Shop School Days sentiment to add to the PTI Pencil Blooms.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Hello, friend!

Hey there! It seems my card making time has been limited as of late. I'm catching up on appointments, late spring/early summer cleaning, trying to plan a vacation, much needed clothes shopping...you name it, I'm doing it LOL!! I do need to squeeze in more crafting time though. I had so much fun putting this card together this evening. I'm entering it in The Paper Players CAS Feathered Friends challenge.

Everything began with my tiny IO bird's nest. I perched an IO bird on it then die cut it with my Pretty Pink Posh Mini Tags die. The sentiment is from PTI Tiny Tags. I stamped an IO vine in Versa Mark then embossed with clear embossing powder. Using the newest PPP Scallop Border 2 dies, I created a pretty topper for the card. The tag is adorned with a PPP bow (Twine & Bows dies) and a pearl.

Thanks for spending a bit of your day with me!

PP #347 ~ Unforgettable!

Hello and welcome! Did you see that The Paper Players is having a birthday theme challenge this week? I need to add to my stash, so I whipped this up today!

I stamped and die cut this cute ellie and party hat by W Plus 9. A stardust Gellyroll pen added a touch of sparkle. All of the other die cuts are Pretty Pink Posh. My favorite Decorative Tags 1 along with 2 border dies, Stitched Borders 2 & 4. This decorative paper is one I bought from Archivers years ago. Does anyone miss that store as much as I do? They had the best patterned paper selection!!

Thanks so much for popping by.
I always love a visit from you!!

The Paper Players #327

Wow, getting back into my card making frame of mind is taking it's good old time! I sit down at my desk and think, what to do, what to do. The Paper Players challenge helped me out today, thank goodness. Black and white plus one color seemed like the right direction to go.

Pulling out another forgotten stamp by Renaissance Art Stamps. Isn't she cute! My son bought this stamp for me one Mothers Day. I didn't add a sentiment because there didn't seem to be a spot for one. I can always add one to the inside when I decide who to send this one to. A few teeny 3mm Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins and Wink of Stella (on her dress) added just the right touch of sparkle.

Thanks for visiting with me!

Autumn Blessings!

Hi there! I'm playing along with a couple of challenges today. Sort of a just for fun card you might say! I saw that The Paper Players had a blessings/thankful challenge. Personally, I'm thankful this election is behind us. I pray that with God's grace our country can come together to make America a better place. I've used this week's Retro Sketches challenge for my card design to create something playful and lighthearted.

What better place to begin than with some cute October Afternoon paper! I added a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 4 die cut to the card edge. A pair of MFT die cut leaves replaced the large flower in the sketch. One is cut from PTI's Canyon Clay felt, the other, OA paper. My sentiment (SSS) was stamped and die cut with a RC banner. Two PSX acorns replaced the small flower from the sketch. Finally I used a trio of DeNami Design buttons as accents. Wow, that's 8 companies represented on one card LOL!! I think that might just be a record!!

Thanks for popping in today, I appreciate it! ~Lisa

PP #295 & RS #215 ~ Love!

Hi! I found some extra time this week to squeeze in a challenge or two. I liked LeAnne's CAS wild thing theme at The Paper PlayersRetro Sketches provided me with the perfect design, so I combined the two challenges.

My little Sweet P roars like a lion. In fact, when the dandelions began to spring up in the neighborhood she wanted to pick them. I told her they were dandelions and she roared!! Cutest thing ever!! So of course my wild animal had to be a lion.

This little cutie is from Stamps by Judith. He's stamped on a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Tags die and added to the card with foam tape. The papers I used are October Afternoon. I cut two strips with a grass die (Impression Obsession) and one with a PPP Stitched Borders 3 die. I can just picture this little fella hiding in the grass! The notebook die is from PTI and my sentiment is from Precious Remembrance Shop's This Moment stamp set. I liked the brushed scratchy look of it with the lion! A trio of 6mm Marigold sequins from PPP finish things off.

That's a lot of companies on one card LOL!! But I think they all work together and I love the way this turned out!

Have a delightful day! ~Lisa

Wishing You the Best!

Sunday greetings to all! It's time for a new challenge at the Paper Players and our hostess LeAnne has given us a fun sketch this week. Here's my take on it...

I dug in to my stash of 6x6 paper pads and pulled out this collection from Carta Bella. I've used Limitless Layers Dies and Tag-its #3 stamps from PTI  for my focal. I opted for a trio of buttons instead of the optional heart in the sketch. My background paper is busy so I didn't want to add more to the madness!! I placed my sentiment inside the circle element then added a ribbon loop instead of the banner.

Come play along with us this week, won't you! ~Lisa

The Paper Players ~ Trick or Treat!

Well hello there! Are you having a nice weekend? Our weather has turned a bit cooler, starting to feel more like autumn. That makes today's card for The Paper Players all the more appropriate. We have a Halloween theme this week courtesy of our hostess Joanne! I've used Freshly Made Sketches for my design inspiration today.

I have so many fun things left from my 12 Kits of Occasions kit so I'm sharing another card using some of those items today! The spider I added is from Northwoods and the sentiment is DeNami. Everything else came in Jessica's cute kit. You can find those details on the 12 kits blog.

Have a wonderful day ~Lisa

The Paper Players ~ Hello!

A happy Sunday to you! I'm sharing a card today for this week's Paper Players challenge. Claire has a great sketch for you to try and the rest of the DT has some marvelous inspiration for your viewing pleasure. Here's what I put together, hope you like it!

I followed the sketch pretty closely just changing up a couple of things. I used a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 tag die for the rectangle and added two fussy cut leaves under the button. Those leaves are courtesy of my son. He bought me that stamp 'A La Art many years ago for a mother's day gift along with a few others! Love my Joey! This DP is from an older Cosmo Cricket 6x6 pad. The Mama Elephant sentiment die and the PPP Stitched Border 1 scallops die are both cut from a shimmery brown paper.

That's a wrap for me today. I hope you'll stop by tomorrow for a sneak peek at my Precious Remembrance Shop Design it Monday post. Take care ~Lisa

The Paper Players #263 ~ Trick or Treat!

Hey there! I'm here on this Sunday morning to bring you the new Paper Players challenge. Laurie is our hostess this week and she has challenged you to create a {clean and simple fall scene}. I've used some die cuts so I'll also be linking up at Simon Says Stamp today.

I only pull this black cat (Inkadinkado) out for Halloween. Isn't he great!! This time I perched him on a Stamps by Judith fence post that I tucked into some polka dot hills (PPP Stitched Borders 1 die). The mini pumpkins (IO) were left over from a previous project. A few teeny stars and a sentiment from DeNami complete my fall scene.

Have a wonderful day ~Lisa

Thankful for You!

Hi friends! I'm sharing a card today using a pretty trio of fall colors. Joanne is our hostess this week at the Paper Players bringing you a color theme challenge.

When I pulled out my So Saffron paper, I already had this panel cut and the corners punched. Great starting point! I've used two of the leaves from the Precious Remembrance Shop Fall Leaves stamp set. I love this set!! I created some masks to stamp a cluster of leaves in the center of my card. The sentiment and little dots are from this set too. I popped it onto a Lost Lagoon card base and that's it.

Don't forget to check out what the DT has to share! Have a great day ~Lisa

The Paper Players #258 ~ Oh Happy Day!

Hello! We have a new challenge up at the Paper Players today! LeAnne is our hostess this week and she's chosen CAS: The Beach as her theme.

I already had this sweet little girl stamped. She's one of my favorites, isn't she adorable in her polka dot swimsuit with her tousled curls! I trimmed out the panel then added the Precious Remembrance Shop sentiment and backed it in a soft buttery yellow to match her curls. I added this to the Walnut Cream card base topped with a panel of embossed waves. A trio of Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine Sequins (4mm & 6mm) finish it up.

I know my teammates would love a visit from you.
They have some beautiful beach themed cards to share, sure to inspire!

PP & SSS ~ Live Your Dream!

A happy Sunday to all! We have a new challenge up at the Paper Players! This week Nance has a fun sketch for you. I wanted to make a light and airy card, so this is what I came up with.

I stamped my DeNami wreath using Ripe Avocado Ink then colored the little leaves in with a Tombow marker. Next came the rings and splatters from the Precious Remembrance Shop Positive Thoughts stamp set. I added a strip of BasicGrey paper that was cut with my PPP Stitched Borders 3 die. I heat embossed my PRS (Positive Thoughts) sentiment onto a vellum banner. And finally I added a few PPP Metallic Gold Sequins (4mm & 6mm).

I'll be playing along with this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: anything goes.

That's it from me today. Be sure to visit the Paper Players blog to see all of the beautiful cards from the amazingly talented design team! And then get busy on that sketch to play along this week!! ~Lisa

PP #250~ Happy Summer!

Hello my sweet bloggy friends and a happy first day of summer! It's time for a new Paper Players challenge.  You'll love this one from Claire, CAS: Sweet Treats!

My DeNami Design Ice-Cream Chickie worked for this theme. Doesn't it look cute standing on top of the sentiment! I added some fruit punch Stickles to the ice-cream. A single strip of DP, die cut edge (PPP: Stitched Borders 3) and a trio of PPP sequins (6mm Pink Blush)  were all it took to keep this design to a minimum.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of those Pretty Pink Posh sequins, check out this sale!
The PP team has put together some terrific CAS: Sweet Treats inspiration for you. I would love to see your card in the gallery this week. Come on, who doesn't love a sweet treat!! Be sure to check it out!! ~Lisa
PP #249 ~ XO!
A happy Sunday to all! There's a new challenge up at the Paper Players today. Sandy has given us a pretty color combo this week. You just can't go wrong when red and aqua are involved!
I pulled out my Precious Remembrance Shop Love Coupon stamp set for this one. After stamping and coloring the tickets I added two MFT bracket border dies to one end. This focal panel was layered with Pool Party, MS twine and Real Red before adding it to my card base. And just for fun I adhered a few Sparkling Clear Sequins (4mm & 6mm) from Pretty Pink Posh!
I'm sure you already know the DT rocks, but stop by their blogs to leave them a little love! ~Lisa
Paper Players #248 ~ Captured!
Hello my sweet bloggy friends! Today is my first official post as a guesting design team member with the Paper Players!! This week's theme is masculine cards.
My son gifted me with this pirate ship stamp (A La Art) years ago for Mother's Day. I will never part with it. A few years after that I bought the corked bottle (Just for Fun Stamps) while on a stamp shopping outing with my SIL: AKA stamping buddy! I think the two were meant to be used together, how about you!! I added this pair to a card base covered with Authentique paper and some cork. I used a PPP Stitched Borders 1 die to create the arched edges. I like the 'captured' (Precious Remembrance Shop) sentiment and arrows with these images.
I'll be linking this up with SSS Wednesday challenge: Make it Masculine.
I'm happy you took some time from your day to visit with me!
I appreciate it more than you know ~Lisa
News to Share!
Hi friends, I have some happy news I've been waiting to share! I've been invited to be a guest designer alongside the talented design team at the Paper Players! For the next six months I'll be joining the team in bringing you some inspiration for the weekly challenges! I'm so grateful for this opportunity and look forward to my first challenge with them in June!
I couldn't share this happy news without sharing a card! Their current challenge is from Jaydee. It's a CAS "Girly Thanks."
This little sweetie pie by Stamping Bella fits the bill! The DP is from a 6x6 pad I picked up at Tuesday Morning a few months ago for $2.99!! This pretty die cut border (Stitched Borders 3) is one of the newest from PPP.  And finally I added a few Strawberry Burst Sequins for just a little pizazz!
Thanks so much for visiting! ~Lisa
PP #241 & VV #14 ~ Life is Beautiful!
Hey, how are you? Spring is in full swing for us with typical Ohio weather. A couple of beautiful 70 degree days followed by windy weather that took us down to the mid 40's!! But those warm days did help more pretty blooms to pop and the trees to fill in a little. It inspired me to play along with the Paper Players CAS and watercoloring challenge. So I set out layering up a card that I could also enter at Virginia's View.
This one is a feminine mini card using PTI's Meadow Greens. I began with a small watercolored panel made with ink and markers. I topped it with the embossed queen anne's lace blooms. For extra frilliness, I die cut a green vellum panel and the card base with a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 die. A little sprinkling of PPP 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins top it off without too much fussiness.
Thanks so much for visiting with me today ~Lisa
