Sending Warm Hugs!

Hi there! Popping in tonight to share a frosty little duo with you for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

The snowman, sentiment, tag and banner are all by Reverse Confetti. I used snippets of patterned paper to create the tag and topped everything off with a sparkly Spellbinders bow.

I was inspired by a few snowmen tags.
Karin's from day 10

and Ilda's colorful pair from day 11.

Thanks you for taking the time to stop by!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hey there! I took a break from my fall cleaning yesterday for some crafty time. As much as I enjoy getting my craft on, there's nothing like washing woodwork and curtains, vacuuming all of the nooks and crannies, cleaning and organizing closets, purging some of the accumulated stuff and just having everything so so that makes this girl happy! Any-who, here we go with a tag for this week's Tag You're It and The Paper Players challenges.

I just love this big beautiful leaf by Rubber Monger. I bought it at a stamp convention eons ago. It's stamped willy-nilly on my hand cut tag with eggplant and orange inks. I also love the font on this Impress sentiment stamp and this sweet Spellbinders bow.

I popped it onto a card base with a trio of marshmallow confetti pieces from PPP.

That's a wrap from me.
Back to my fall cleaning blitz!

Thinking of you

Well hello, I'm so happy you stopped by today! With all of the pre-holiday, holiday and post holiday hullabaloo behind us, I finally found some time to get inky. Today's creation is for the Tag You're It challenge, hope you like it!

I've gone with lots of old school here. The raspberries are one of my first woodblock stamps by PSX, aren't they pretty! My hubby, son and granddaughter LOVE their fresh raspberries!

Another oldie but goodie is the woodblock sentiment (also one of my first) by Savvy Stamps.  I used to use pearls on my cards quite often when I first started card making. Then all of those fabulous rhinestones, sequins, dew drops and gems came out and my pearls seemed to go to the bottom of the pile. But they seemed a good fit here, so I dug them out!

Have a great day!

Happy Easter

Hello, hello! Taking a quick minute to share a tag I made for the Tag You're It challenge. Check it out...

I love the way this turned out! I had the Spellbinders label die already cut. I simply cut a circle from the center, inked up some sky and grass then added the elements. This pretty little PTI church has Copic colored vellum windows. I fussy cut the hydrangeas (Inkadinkado) then added my sentiment on a slip of vellum. PTI ribbon and SU tulle ribbon topped it off. Tah-dah!

 Enjoy your weekend!

Smitten!

Hello! Squeezing in a little crafty time today to play along with Tag You're It. My sweet friend and 12 Kits teamie Kim Heggins is the featured artist for challenge #70. I pulled several elements from her design, but changed up her bear for my favorite little pup.

I stamped, colored and fussy cut my mini schnauzer stamp (Bugawumps) to look like our handsome little Max. I miss our sweet boy everyday. This stamp makes me smile and brings back memories of him getting excited over a treat. He would perk his little ears up, look bright eyed and happy with that tiny tail going a hundred miles and hour!!

My tag base is a PPP Stitched Essentials with the grassy area (cut with Scallops Borders die) layered on. I've used a sentiment, teeny heart and underscore from my Sweet Pea Stamp set.

Thanks for popping by!

Tag You're It Challenge Reminder!

Hello, hello! You still have time to play along with Tag You're It challenge #69. I am honored to be their guest designer and have another inspiration tag for you!

Once again my inspiration comes from Joyce's fun pompom topper. For mine, I used a length of tiny pompoms to create a flower center. The flower petals are PTI's Beautiful Blooms II. The tag is made from a Spellbinders postage die, MME paper and a little cat from a previous 12 Kits of Occasions kit. I had to put my tag on a card this time around...I sort of ran out of room for the sentiment...oops!!

Pop over to the Tag You're It blog to see more inspiration from the team. Thanks so much for stopping by. Your visits mean so much to me!

Guesting at Tag You're It!

Hello and welcome! I'm so excited and honored to be guesting at Tag You're It for their 69th challenge! Joyce Mehrberg is their featured artist this time. Check out her cute tag!

I was inspired by the big puffy tag topper and the powerful sentiment. That bloom was a good jumping off point for my design. I turned a strip of bright pink polka dot fabric into a yoyo-ish flower with a button center. I added a small rectangle tab to the top of the tag to hold it.

My sentiment comes from the Precious Remembrance Shop Positive Thoughts stamp set. And this adorable fox (Fox Friends) is Pretty Pink Posh

I hope you'll play along with the challenge this week. I would love to see how you were inspired by Joyce's adorable tag!

Tag You're It #67 ~ Happy Birthday To You!

Hello friends! I haven't played along with the Tag You're It challenge for a long time. I'm here to remedy that today with my take on Marion Vagg's pretty inspiration tag!

I was inspired by the layered leaves and flourishes along with the pop of color from the bloom. My tag, stamps and dies are all Papertrey Ink with the exception of the Fancy Flourish die cuts by My Favorite Things. I'll be setting this one aside for my mom's birthday gift!

Have a blessed day!

Tag You're It ~ Love You!

Hi friends! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. We had one of those snuggle in relax and just be together kind. While the hubs did some camera research I made this tag for the Tag You're It challenge. Marybeth's inspiration tag is beautiful!

I focused on the small dusty rose flower for my color and the leaves became pea pods from my Sweet Pea stamp set! The peas are coated with glossy accents and some sparkle was added to the images with a glitter Gelly Roll Pen. I've used the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Square die set for my tag base along with My Mind's Eye papers.

I appreciate your visit and hope you'll be back again! ~Lisa

cQc #306 ~ Bouquet of Love!

Hello! Wow did the summer ever fly by. I'm not ready to let it go. But it's already the first of September and some of the leaves have begun to change. I suppose fall is coming whether I'm ready for it or not!! To lift my so long summertime spirits, I made a little floral (Endless Creations) card for this week's ColourQ challenge.

Using my Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Banner Duo 2 die to hold my sentiment and focal point turned out better than I expected! There's a layer of fun foam under it for dimension. But I set the circle back in deep for added interest! I stamped a pretty Impression Obsession vine horizontally on my card. Next I laid the die on the card, masked off the card front, then stamped the vine again so that things matched up. The stitched circle is from DeNami Design and the sentiment also by IO. I couldn't let the polka dots (mine are by DeNami Design) from the inspiration photo go unrecognized!! The ribbon and button weren't planned. They cover a boo boo on the stitched circle ~ shhh!

Upon the advice of my sweet blogging friend Darnell, I will be entering this at the Tag You're It challenge! Thanks Darnell!!

For the record, I would love a pair of these PJs, aren't they cute!!
Have a blessed day friends ~Lisa

Tag You're It #23 ~ Thank You!

Hey there! I know I shouldn't be complaining , based on the winter we had, but daaaaang...it's HOT!! It shouldn't be this hot in early June, seriously...88? That means stay in the air conditioning and craft! Yep, that's what I did. I have a teacher thank your tag to share for the Tag You're It challenge.

This week's inspiration comes from a cute project by Tracey. I paired up my PTI Fruit Fusion: apple with a Precious Remembrance Shop thank you. The fun tag shape is Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Banner Duo 2 and the banner is Reverse Confetti. I actually had not intended to put the sentiment on a banner. It's covering a boo boo!! But this is a mistake I'm happy with! It let me add a second banner to bring in a bit more of the green. It think it brought an extra touch of freshness to my project. A loopy twine bow and that's it!

Guess who's coming to grandma's today!!
I'll be up to my elbows in baby snuggles and giggles!

Wishing You the Best!

Hi there! Popping in with a quick post for the Tag You're It Challenge. The challenge this week is based on a beautiful card designed by my very dear bloggy friend Marybeth! Here's my take on it.

I was inspired by the kraft leafy vine, trailing sequins and flowers. Everything began with a PPP Stitched Duo 3 die cut. My leaves and sentiment  (Kraft ink) are PTI, the small solid hibiscus (Autumn Rose ink) is from DeNami Design. I sprinkled on several PPP burgundy Sequins ~ 4mm & 6mm. I topped things off with a loopy twine bow and scrap of burgundy gingham ribbon.

Have a blessed Sunday friends ~Lisa

Guest Designing at Tag You're It!

Hello! I have the honor and pleasure of guest designing with the fabulous ladies at Tag You're It for their latest challenge! My post was supposed to go live this morning...guess you actually have to remember to hit post after you schedule it! Sorry about that.

This time they're doing something a bit different and have given you a card for inspiration. Just look at this beauty by Donna Mikasa!

So check out my colorful fishes! I picked a few colors from Donna's card then colored one of them sort of psychedelic and sparkly!! My sentiment is from Precious Remembrance Shop's Oh So Fun stamp set. I went with this playful Impression Obsession wave die for the black strip on the card. I decided to top it off with a wide aqua satin ribbon. Sort of looks like a fish tail huh!

Thanks for popping by, have a great weekend ~Lisa

Thanks!

Hello hello and a happy Saturday! I'm here with a quick post to share a tag I made for the latest Tag You're It challenge.

All of my stamped images are from Precious Remembrance Shop using these sets: Positive Thoughts, Mom and Dad (retired), Coffee Love, Thanks, & DIY. The tag itself is an RC die cut. I layered the white one over one cut from Bazzill watermelon cardstock. And finally some PPP embellishments using 4mm & 6mm Metallic Gold Sequins and Metallic Gold Twine

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.
We're in for some snow so I'm off to pick up a few groceries! ~Lisa

Looking back at 2014!

What a year this has been. I went into 2014 with pneumonia, (that was no fun), said hello and goodbye to design teams and joined the addictive world of Pinterest. The absolute lowest part of this past year was the loss of my sweet beautiful boy Max. I miss my little pup so very much. Thankfully the year was finished off with a beautiful gift from God...my precious granddaughter Penelope. She's a new bright spot in my life that came just when I needed her most.

Like so many fellow cardmakers, I'm taking a little trip down memory lane with my favorite cards from the past year. I've picked one from each month...enjoy!

TYIC #8 & TPP #217 ~ Give Thanks!

The air is fresh with the scent of autumn! Max and I swish through the crunchy leaves on our daily walks as the squirrels scamper about preparing their winter stash. While I'm not ready for the colder weather, these walks do bring thoughts of Thanksgiving to mind. So I set out to make something autumnal and the Tag You're It challenge was my inspiration!

I've started with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 Dies tag that was stamped with Magenta's wheat stamp ~ love this stamp! Next I stamped, colored and trimmed out my DeNami Design cornucopia. It's popped up on the tag with a few DeNami petite oak leaves added behind it. A cute sentiment and a sprinkling of PPP 4mm & 6mm Mossy Green Sequins went on next. And finally I topped it off with a length of twill ribbon and Paper Sweeties seem binding.

When posting this, I discovered the Paper Players Fall Colors theme this week, so I'll be linking this tag up there as well!

Have a delightful day and thanks so much for stopping by ~Lisa
