Just Us Girls #766 ~ Sweet

Were going green at Just Us Girls this week! Gosh, this word challenge has so many possibilities. It's sure to be a bright and cheerful gallery. I had a certain little Sweet P in mind when making my super simple card!

I already had the sentiment hot foiled and die cut. I simply popped it onto an embossed panel then added my darling little pea with a few golden sprigs tucked behind it. The pea is heat embossed and popped up on a foam dot.

Just a cutie little card to send to our best girl!

Your turn now. How will you use the word green?

Squeezing this one in a the last minute over at Color Hues!

A Valentine for Sweet P

When I saw the quilt challenge over at Inkspirational, an idea popped into my head. I turned that idea into a Valentine for our Sweet P. Take a look...

I had a few bits and pieces from one of my all time favorite MME 6x6 paper pads left. After trimming to size, I pieced them together to form my quilt. Next, I used the largest of my Poppystamps Scallop Pinpoint Heart dies to cut it out. This went onto a card base embossed with polka dots. A couple of sweet MFT Rolled Roses and Altenew leaves, all cut from felt, along with a trio of buttons adorn the heart. Last, but not least, the Sweet P sentiment (from my Sweet Pea stamp set) went onto a PPP label die cut. I haven't used felt or those rolled roses in ages. Buttons too, for that matter. Sigh... they just never get old!

Wishing you a blessed weekend!

Just Us Girls #700 & a giveaway!

We're celebrating 700 challenges at Just Us Girls!!  In honor of our milestone, some of the DT members are giving away prizes on their personal blogs! To be eligible to win, you must comment on the DT member's blog that has a prize offered and play along in this week's challenge. All winners will also be announced on the JUGs blog.

I will be giving away one of my Sweet Pea stamp sets! In case you're not familiar with this set, I designed it several years ago for our granddaughter Penelope that we call Sweet P. The sentiments are in my own handwriting! It was originally available at Precious Remembrance Shop, but is now my own. One lucky winner will be chosen at random. Perhaps Sweet P herself will do the picking!

Okay now for my card. Lisa K. has given us blue, orange and tan to work with this week. Here you go!

I added these cutie patootie CCC mice to some equally cute polka dot paper! This pair just makes me smile. Copic coloring and a few gems. Easy peasy!

Okay peeps, it's your turn. We do hope you'll join us for our celebration. Don't forget to visit the team to say hello!

You're All I Wish For

Ready to get CAS?

That's what our hostess, Sue is looking for at Just Us Girls!

Okay, lets go!

I created a top fold mini slimeline card for today's challenge. Opposing corners were stamped with a sweet floral image (SG). I paired the sentiment (HA) with the trio of little hearts from my Sweet Pea stamp set. Shadow (POD) was the perfect cutie pie to add to this one!

Alrighty, now it's your turn!

Shout With Joy

Hello lovelies! I have a fun little number to share that I put together for The Paper Players challenge. LeAnne has a cute sketch that I wanted to have a go at!

I was the lucky winner of a gift certificate from Topflight Stamps not long ago, so a few cutie patootie mice came to live at my house! After a little ink blending, I stamped this happy fella onto a couple of mushrooms from an Altenew set gifted to me by my friend Mari. The MFT sentiment seemed to pair well with the mood of the card. I also added my favorite teeny tiny hearts from my Sweet Pea stamp set. Isn't this a happy card!

Okay, off this goes to the gallery.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday to You!

Hi friends! Sorry for the quietness here this week. Lack of mojo and a sore hand! But I'm back today and it's time a for a new Just Us Girls challenge! Vicki is hosting this week and she is asking us to use embossing folders. Who doesn't love an embossing folder? I have several in my arsenal and used one of my favorites for today's card!

When I pulled this older Maggie Holmes folder out, there was an embossed piece with a snippet of patterned paper attached to it tucked inside. I used that as my jumping off point. The flowers on the PP reminded me of the PTI Pretty Peonies set. I stamped and die cut two of them then carefully embossed part of each bloom. The doily curved around the lower petals perfectly! A couple of golden butterflies and a few teeny tiny hearts (Sweet Pea stamp set) were added to the layers.

This birthday card was hand delivered to someone extra special and she loved it!

I can't wait to see this week's gallery, I hope your card is in it!

Love You!

Hey there! It's time for another Just Us Girls challenge! Sue is our hostess this week and she is challenging us to make our own stencils using die cuts. I took the opportunity to make a valentine card for my parents!

I die cut a piece of packaging cardboard with an Avery Elle polka dot cover plate. Using PTI's Lavender Moon ink, I stenciled a large SB label. The white heart was decorated with stenciled leaves made from a PTI sweet celebrations die. The flowers are die cuts from the same set. I used the smaller one to stencil the red flower centers in. The love you sentiment is from my Sweet Pea stamp set. I like the way this turned out and I think my mom and dad will too!

These are the dies I used.

Okay, your turn! I'm looking forward to our gallery this week!

With Love!

I recently sprung for the Love Potions Shaker die from The Stamp Market and went right to work making a card for Sweet P. She's a little girl who doesn't really like pink and purple, she likes blue and aqua. She likes polka dots too! Uh-huh, that's my girl!

I adore the pretty bow that comes in this die set! I die cut it along with the little hearts from the set and a PTI heart border from gold sparkly paper. Polka dot hearts also fill the shaker and the sweet pea from her stamp set is popped up on the tag. This will be her valentine from gramma and papa!

After I was finished I realized my card contained elements that worked for this week's Tic, Tac Toe challenge. The third vertical row - any shape die cut, love sentiment & glitz or glitter.

Thanks for taking a peek!

IB #160 ~ Krafty Love

Oh my, aren't the hearts in our Inspired By photo darling?

They sure inspired me this week, hope they do you too.

 Kraft, white and pink... you can't beat that!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My goal was to recreate one of those hearts. How did I do? I've framed it in a PPP die cut then added one of the sentiments and a flourish from my Sweet Pea stamp set (PRS).
I'll be tucking this into one of my mom and dad's grocery bags before I deliver them. It will be a sweet Valentine's Day surprise for them.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I appreciate it!
FMS #417 ~ Smitten
Happy Friday! What makes it happy you ask? Well, it's supposed to be 66 tomorrow... in northern Ohio... in January. We had snow on the ground two days ago. Now that's some crazy stuff right there!
Speaking of snow. I have a cute snow couple for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I stamped this IO pair onto a PTI tag, adhered them to a snowy embossed card base then added a sentiment from my PRS Sweet Pea stamp set. Easy peasy!
Have a great weekend!
FMS #349
Hi friends! Popping in tonight with an entry for this week's Freshly Made Sketches. Here's my take on it!
I've used my Sweet Pea stamp set from Precious Remembrance Shop along with some patterned paper and a polka dot embossing folder. I'll send this to our baby girl who is excited beyond measure about starting preschool soon! She'll still be with me a couple of days a week, so my Sweet P withdrawal won't be quite so severe!
See you tomorrow with a PRS Design It Monday post.
Love You!
Hey there sweet peeps! I'm sharing a CAS card today for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch and The Paper Players challenges.
I've used beautiful Altenew peonies and the 'Love You' sentiment from my PRS Sweet Pea stamp set. I added just s few Marshmallow sequins from PPP. The speckles were a last minute decision. One of those "I sure hope I don't mess this card up big time by doing this." decisions LOL!! Anyway, they're from the PRS Fall Colors set.
Thanks for visiting, I appreciate it!
Smitten!
Hello! Squeezing in a little crafty time today to play along with Tag You're It. My sweet friend and 12 Kits teamie Kim Heggins is the featured artist for challenge #70. I pulled several elements from her design, but changed up her bear for my favorite little pup.
I stamped, colored and fussy cut my mini schnauzer stamp (Bugawumps) to look like our handsome little Max. I miss our sweet boy everyday. This stamp makes me smile and brings back memories of him getting excited over a treat. He would perk his little ears up, look bright eyed and happy with that tiny tail going a hundred miles and hour!!
My tag base is a PPP Stitched Essentials with the grassy area (cut with Scallops Borders die) layered on. I've used a sentiment, teeny heart and underscore from my Sweet Pea Stamp set.
Thanks for popping by!
Birthday Wishes for Sweet P!
Hi there! Our precious little Sweet P turned two a couple of days ago!! Her birthday party is on Sunday. This card will accompany her gift from us, gamma and papa! She started calling my hubby papa a long time ago. It's what she came up with for grandpa and we love it! On the eve of her birthday she said gamma for the first time!! This is what she came up with for grandma, sigh ~ melt my heart.
This little one loves her Winnie the Pooh cartoons! I just happened to have a Piglet stamp. He's the perfect little pink fella to go on her sweet girly card. I picked some of my favorite floral papers and die cut them with PPP's Mini Tags. I centered a cute polka dot '2' between them. Piglet seems to be gazing at the 2! Of course I had to personalize her card with her stamp from my Precious Remembrance Shop Sweet Pea set. Some scalloped layers (PPP: Stitched Borders 2) ground everything quite nicely!
That's it for me today. Sweet P and I hope to get some outside time in today. They say it's going to be 70. It's almost Thanksgiving, how can that be??!!
cQc #362 ~ Love You!
Hello, hello! Here we are at Tuesday again and another ColourQ challenge. If you are a fan of pink you will run to your craft room to play along! Two pretty shades of pink along with black, white and silver. I made a card that will go to my parents for their wedding anniversary. Take a look.....
I used this week's CAS(E) This Sketch for my jumping off point. I also zoned in on the word love from the bracelet bead using the Love You script from my Sweet Pea Stamp Set. The subtle soft pink leaves below it are from Precious Remembrance Shop's Fall Colors Stamp Set. The pretty swirls (Inkadinkado) were stamped onto my Strawberry Slush panel with Versa Mark ink for a tone on tone look. I used a Spellbinders 18 label then added a few pearls and a couple of little butterflies. Truth be told, I forgot about the black and had to add them at the last minute LOL!!
I hope you have a wonderful day! Our's is supposed to be nice, so I plan on a walk with Sweet P followed by some bubble blowing and baby giggles!!
