What a Wonderful World

Hello and happy Saturday! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls where sweet Nancy has a lovely Moodboard for us to work with.

I was inspired by the pretty hydrangeas and the photo to it's right. I knew I wanted to work that arch into my card.

I did some light pink stenciling (SG) on a white panel then cut the arch, stamped the sentiment, then added the arch back to the panel for the inlaid look. Next came the pink hydrangeas (DeNami). I Copic colored and fussy cut them. Those delightful Poppystamps butterflies were a last minute decision. They look right at home, don'tcha think?

Alrighty friends, it's your turn! So many options!

What a Wonderful World

It's Saturday and that means a new Just Us Girls challenge! No bicycle stamps or papers... no problem! Look closely at this photo, there's so much there!

I've had this piece of bicycle patterned paper forever, today it found a home. One of my favorite sentiments was added to the middle and a few colorful blooms framed it. Simple and summery!

For my US friends, I wish you a Happy Memorial Day weekend!  Also remembering those who served for our freedom. God Bless.

Inpsired By #173 ~ Celebrate Her

We're celebrating mothers at Inspired By this week!

I think you can tell how I was inspired ~ wink!  I created my wreath with some pretty little PTI flowers (Beautiful Blooms II) and some sweet DeNami butterflies. When I think of my mom, I think of what a wonderful world it is to have her in it.

When I was growing up she was a stay at home, cub scout leader, PTA president, piano, baton, drum lesson, marching corp practice and parade chauffeur, chief cook and bottle washer mother who made a warm and loving home for my father, big brother and I. She's always been an incredible grandmother to our son (they have the sweetest relationship) and great grandmother to his little girl; our Sweet P. I'm celebrating my mom with this card not just today, but everyday!

I hope I've inspired you to play along with us this week.  No worries if you don't need a Mother's Day card. Just created what inspires you or use the sketch!

A Wonderful World!

This sunny day sparked a creativity bug! I ended up with two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge gallery. Take a look...

I used the raspberries (PSX) as a border for the Serendipity sentiment. The raspberry panel is popped up with foam tape creating a deep area for my inlaid sentiment circle. This one is for an anniversary.

I wanted the raspberries to be the focal on my birthday card. They're randomly stamped on a PTI die cut and topped with a RC sentiment banner.

No fancy coloring, just two clean designs.
Hope you like them!
