Just a Little Note!

Hi friends! A while back I made a fun recipe card gift set for a Pretty Pink Posh special feature. It's been hanging around my studio waiting for the perfect place to call home. Well, that time has come! But it needed a card to accompany it. So I whipped up this little number!

I dry embossed a Soft Stone panel then die cut the bottom with a PPP Stitched Borders 2 Die. A Harvest Gold strip was cut with the same die and adhered so only a tiny portion shows. I stamped the sentiment from my PPP Birdie Notes on a PPP Stitched Tags Die. Then I stamped, colored and die cut the bird and envelopes using the Birdie Notes Stamps and Coordinating Dies sets. I added the same sequins and seed beads on the card that I did on the recipe card gift set. They are 6mm Marigold, 10mm Sparkling Clear, 4mm & 6mm Marshmallow Sequins and Silver Shimmer Seed Beads.

I'll be entering the card in this week's Simon Says Stamp challenge, anything goes. I'm also linking up at House of Cards, add a bird! I could have used it for the color challenge too, but there's no green.

cQc #324 ~ You're Off the Hook!

Hello! Here we are at another Tuesday and that means a new challenge at ColourQ! We're going green today with Coastal Cabana and Silver added to the mix. When I saw the earrings in the inspiration photo, I saw fish...is it just me?!!?

I did a light color wash on a panel of Tim Holtz water color paper then heat embossed the fish (Stamping Sensations), bubbles (DeNami) and sentiment (DeNami) in liquid platinum. After coloring, die cutting (Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1) and wrapping the tag with twine I popped in on the polka dot embossed panel with foam tape. I think this one works for a masculine card, what do you think?

TCC #3 ~ Coffee Shared With Friends!

Hello! Just updating a bit on yesterday's {Design It Monday} post for the Precious Remembrance Shop blog. I had designed my card using the latest challenge at The Card Concept, so I'll be linking my entry up there. Here's a full view of my card in case you haven't been to the PR blog yet!

The paper used are from MME and the polka dots are a digital paper no longer available ~ boo. The stamps are as I mentioned, Precious Remembrance Shop. The die cuts are all by PTI. The pretty little trio of sequins and pink twine are from the Pretty Pink Posh Store! I think that covers everything, all other supplies are bits and pieces from my stash.

Isn't this a pretty challenge graphic! I feel that my card fits into their shabby chic ~ vintage category with all of the pinks, soft elements and bit of distressing on my edges. And upon the advice of my friend Mynnette, I'll be linking this up at the House of Cards Challenge as well! Wish me luck! ~Lisa
