Christmas Joy!

Welcome friends! Popping in tonight with a Christmas tag. I'm playing along at Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags who also happens to be this week's MUSE! I was inspired by Tracey's tag today, day 12, using Pretty Pink Posh products. It just so happens I have a few of those ~ hee!

A stuck pretty close to Tracey's design. I changed things up with the cute little PPP angels and gift. The stars are heat embossed and I added some PPP Marshmallow sequins to mimic Tracey's water spots.

That's it from me tonight. See you soon!

cQc #340 ~ Love...

Hi there! It's time for a new color palette at ColourQ. This one is fresh and pretty, I think you'll like it! I made this card on Sunday and then saw the Muse challenge yesterday. Michele (love her!!) is this week's Muse and she used lilacs on her card. I think this just might work!! I was inspired by her lilacs, the embossed circle and the thin border of color she added to the left side of her card.

At first glance you might not see the red on my card. Look closely at the buds at the ends of the lilacs and some of the open blooms. I used my Copics to blend multiple colors on the lilac blooms. As far as I know there aren't red lilacs,  I took some artistic liberties here!! The sentiment and fern are from PTI and the pretty lilacs is Impression Obsession. I sprinkled on a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins

My in house critic said he REALLY likes this one!!
That does it for me today, thanks for taking a peek! ~Lisa

Muse #160 ~ Thanks!

Hello sweet blogging friends! I had a little time to craft last night and found myself drawn to this week's  Muse challenge. The fabulous Michele Ferguson has provided us with the inspiration card. Here's my take on it.

I've used PTI's Soft Stone as my gray. Michele's focal panel was covered in a striped bloom of sorts. I opted to use yellowy green stripes to mat my focal panel. What is it, you might ask? Embossed blooms! I KNOW Michele enjoys her embossing folders, so I had to sneak that in for her! My PTI butterfly is facing in the opposite direction. Why? It's pointing to Michigan!! I like to think her's is pointed to Ohio ~ hee!!! My gratitude sentiment comes in the form of thanks. And guess what...the company that makes the stamp is AMuse!

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for visiting ~Lisa

Muse #128 ~ Happy!

Hey there! I hope everyone is doing well. I spent the day with my little Sweet P on Tuesday ~ I could just squeeze her!! While she napped I came across this week's Muse challenge. To my delight the new Muse is my sweetheart of a bloggy friend the fabulous Michele Ferguson! This is her pretty card where she has challenged us to use our favorite embossing folder.

Here is my take on her challenge!
As you can see I reversed the color from the sentiment to my focal image.

I am in love with this doily embossing folder by Maggie Holmes. Swoon worthy I tell ya!! After embossing my card with it, I also embossed a PTI  (Pretty Peonies) butterfly then positioned it to match the embossed spot on the card front. The sentiment (same PTI set) was stamped with Versa Mark ink then heat embossed with clear powder.  To mimic Michele's metalic balloon tail I added PPP Sparkling Clear Sequins (6mm & 4mm).

And there you have it. Hope I did you proud Michele!! ~Lisa

Muse #108 & PBSC~ Thanks!

Hey, guess what? I saw something the other day that I haven't seen for a long time...GRASS!!! Yep, the snow is slowing creeping away from the driveway's edge and the grass is showing it's sad soggy little face! The birds are chirping, the temps are rising and I saw a big fat fly clinging to the garage door for dear life. Could the elusive spring really be on it's way?

After a foggy night and morning, the sun is beginning to peek through the clouds. The perfect inspiration to join in over at Muse. My sweet bloggy friend Michele is this week's muse, with a sunny cheerful card!

I was inspired by the yellow patterned paper Michele used along with the coloring of the single sketchy bloom. My DP had a different pattern, so I dry embossed it to get the same look! I chose this trio of sketchy flowers by Penny Black stamped on a PTI label and decorated with a few PPP 6mm Marigold Sequins.

This is Michele's pretty card. As you can see I didn't stray very far!!

With my flowers being a Penny Black image, I will be playing along at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge! This one's for you sweet Greta!!

Thanks for visiting and a big thank you to my newest followers!
I appreciate you joining me on this blogging journey ~Lisa

Muse Challenge #57 ~ Happy Spring!

A happy Friday to all from a sunny Ohio! What a pretty day we have. Blue skies, sunshine and 46 toasty degrees! I never thought I would be happy with temps in the forties, but it's much better than what we have had! After a nice long refreshing walk with Max, I took some time to make a card. This one is for the latest Muse challenge.

Vicki Dutcher is the Muse this week.
This is her pretty card!

My spring take on her card...

I've had a few papers from a Dear Lizzy 6x6 hanging around for awhile, so I put them to good use. This sweet mix of sequins is from the Sprintime Mix available at the Pretty Pink Posh Shop. The sequins in the package are the prettiest shades of soft aqua, light buttery yellow, minty green and peony pink. There are also a few larger pearl white flower sequins included.

That's it for me today.
I hope you have some sunshine in your neck of the woods! ~Lisa

Muse #29 ~ Thank You!

WhoooWeee it's soupy outside today...yuck! I suppose we're in for storms this afternoon, hope they blow this humidity away! Days like this are perfect to stay in and make a card or two. I have one to share for the Muse challenge featuring Laurie Willison as the Monday Muse. I love Laurie's work and wanted to have a go at recreating my version of her card!

I love the way this one turned out and I only used one stamp! I have a collection of October Afternoon products that I must admit I tend to hoard! They're just so cute and I love the colors. But I've decided I have to use them up, so here they are. The striped paper is from the Cakewalk collection and the stickers (flowers & label) the Sidewalks collection. This sweet die cut butterfly was in their Sidewalk flower sack. My Savvy sentiment has always been one of my favorites, I like the gentle arch. I picked up this scallop note card at Archiver's eons ago and have embossed it here with a Lifestyle Crafts: whimsy embossing folder.

This one is Laurie's card, so bright and summery!

Before I go I wanted to share this little fella with you! It's his birthday today...he's 10!!! This is what he loves to do, run in the yard! Just look at those ears flying back! I think that's our neighbors fence behind him, my hubby took this photo last month. He's such a sweet silly little pup, and he has my heart!!!

That just about covers it for today friends.
I hope you're staying cool in your neck of the woods.
Enjoy your day! ~Lisa

Muse #27 & MFW: Bday Card Challenge ~ Wish Big!

Happy happy Friday!! We have had the best weather for the last couple of days. Perfect temperatures and NO humidity!! I'll take it. Max is a happier boy too, long walks again and playing with his big ball in the backyard...silly little pup. So how about a card before I do a bit of housework. This one is for the Muse challenge where my very dear blogging friend Tracey McNeely is the Monday Muse!! And since I made this into a birthday card, I'll also link up at the Moxie Fab World birthday card challenge. Here's my take on Tracey's card.

All of the stamps are Papertrey Ink. I thought the sunflowers would make a nice summer or early fall birthday card. The only sequins I had in the correct colors were large, so I added a sparkly gem to their centers! The smaller sunflower, it's center and two leaves are popped up with foam tape.

Okay, that does it for me.
I'll be back tomorrow with my final headliner Retro Sketches card.
Hope you'll stop by ~Lisa
