Thanks!

Brace yourselves... this one might be a little busy. Well, the hubs thinks so! Maybe it's my Robitussin buzz! But you know, I think I kind of like it. He didn't care for the patterned poinsettias, but I think they're fun! I'll let you all be the judge. I put this one together for The Flower Challenge using The Color Hues Challenge colors of teal and silver.

I couldn't let the season go by without using my favorite Waffle Flower poinsettias. I cut them from some old October Afternoon paper, layered each one up then added silver rhinestones to their centers. I used pretty silver cardstock from The Stamp Market for my Altenew sentiment as well as the little Simply Graphic pine sprigs. A postal frame borders the embossed pine in the background.

Off this goes to both galleries.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the get well wishes.
Bronchitis just doesn't know when to give up!

Love You a Bunch!

I had a free moment this afternoon and took advantage of it with some time in my wee art studio! I put together this little number for the Freshly Made Sketches and Color Hues challenges.

I went pretty literal with the sketch using s favorite PTI tag die and a cute Stamping Bella/Mo Manning image. This little lady colored up quite well with the given colors of orange and teal, along with just a touch of neutral coloring for her hair. Who wouldn't want to receive a bunch of love and orange tulips from this sweet girl? I embossed some big ol' polka dots on the card base, popped her on and she's ready for her debut in both galleries!

Have a great day, friends and thanks so much for your visit!

Color Hues ~ Hugs!

I wanted to squeeze in my entry for the Color Hues challenge at the last minute today, but the challenge ended yesterday! I couldn't let their 100th challenge go by without sending them congratulatory hugs. Sorry I missed the party ladies, but this one is for you!

All of the dies used on my card are Poppystamps. I started with the delightful Penelope Pinpoint Frame cut from some pretty Memory Box paper. After adhering it on a white card base, I added on the vellum heart and sentiment. Some pretty little Nordic blooms finished it off with a couple of them being popped up on adhesive dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends.
Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Joy

Hi there! I'm popping is for a quick minute tonight to share a card for a couple of challenges. My sweet freind Marcia is looking for pink and aqua over at Color Hues and Jaydee wants Clean and Simple Christmas cards at The Paper Players. One card, two challenges... here we go!

I used the sweet little snowbaby by Impression Obsession as the O in my JOY (TSM) die cut. I colored this little cutie with Copic then die cut her with a MFT stitched circle. Once I decided on placement, I stamped my favorite Hero Arts snowflake in PTI's Aqua Mist ink.

And off we go to the galleries.
Thanks for taking a look!

You Are In My Thoughts

The snow and cold showed up again for our weekend so I snuggled in and made a card or two. This one is for the Color Hues challenge. Stef picked the lovely combination of Lilac and Mint. I never met a lilac I didn't like so I was in!

Now someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this look like lilacs? I used the Ready to Bloom cover die from The Stamp Market. It was smooshed into some ink then the single blooms were layered onto the panel of those that are connected on the die cut. Mint Julep cardstock from PTI was used for the leaves (TSM) and scalloped panel (ME). The lovely debossed panel is by SSS and my sentiment from Pinkfresh

All of those companies played so well together!

I hope you're warm and cozy this weekend.

A pot of homemade soup is on my agenda for tomorrow!

A Little Something For You

Snowed in? We have snow, but there was plenty of sunshine to go with it today! It was a good day to get a some crafting in. I put this little number together for the Color Hues challenge where they're looking for copper and green.

I started with a cute little PPP tag cut from copper paper. A pre-foiled sentiment went on next along with a partial circle cut from copper and white paper. All of these items were in a paper pad gifted to me long ago. Next came all of the fun little sprigs and flowers. I guess they're flowers, who knows! Everything came along with my Switch machine with the exception of the pierced leaves. They're by Simply Graphic. The pretty embossed background was a gift from sweet Michele (thanks again xo)!

Off this goes to the gallery.

Thanks for taking the time for a visit!

Merry & Birght

My entry for Color Hues has been in pieces on my desk for a few days. I kept getting interrupted with one thing or another, you know just general life stuff! I haven't had a good long crafty session in a while and those Christmas cards aren't going to make themselves! So here we go, light blue and purple.

I had a cute snippet of blue snowflake paper just perfect for my MB ornament. I attached the ornament to the pretty Snowflake Loop from Poppystamps using white thread and hid the knot with a ME bow. It looked a little lonely, so I topped it with a big snowflake! Simple white embossed trees (SSS) provided my background.

I had just enough of that snowflake paper for another ornament, so I made another card! This one has SSS embossed snowflakes dancing around in the background.

Do you have a favorite? My in house critic said he likes the trees the best. Off it goes to the gallery!

Hope You're Feeling Better Soon

I took some time today to put together this card for the Color Hues challenge. I had an idea several days ago and finally got to make it happen!

I started with a trio of cute SSS sunflowers that were doubled up. They went onto an old Spellbinders Labels die cut that was embossed with a cute vine folder. The PPP sentiment went onto a smaller version of the label. Pretty vellum die cut leaves from The Stamp Market for the finishing touch!

Off this goes to the gallery. Thanks for taking a peek!

Just For You

This week's Color Hues palette is Olive and Berry and The Paper Players are looking for food items. Well it seemed to me that these two challenges were meant to be combined!

I used PTI's Sweet Celebration set to create all of the die cuts. A few extra layers of frosting were cut from vellum to make this cupcake look even more scrumptious! I popped everything onto a polka dot background with some raspberry paper peeking through. I hope it's CAS enough for the gals over at The Paper Players!

I hope your week has gotten off to a great start. Our temps are down a bit, so that's a good thing! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Spring!

Happy spring! What better way to say goodbye to winter than with a bouquet of flowers! I'll be sending this little bunch over to the Color Hues gallery where my sweet friend, Marcia is looking for blue and turquoise.

I pulled out several Simply Graphic dies to cretae my bouquet. This flower wrap always makes me smile! Cutting it from plaid paper just adds to it's cuteness! Turquoise is a funny color for me. Is it more blue or more green? I used SU's Tempting Turqoise to die cut a couple of those flowers. It's in the name, so I guess I couldn't go wrong! The round scalloped edge blooms were cut from light blue paper with a little Copic coloring added to their centers. A Lawn Fawn cover plate went onto my card base before popping on my spring bouquet and a few rhinestones.

That's it from me today. Thanks so much for visiting!

Thank You

Hello and Happy New Year! I'm rolling out my first card post thumb surgery. Things are getting better. Still working on movement and strength. I thought going the route of die cuts and letting the electric machine do the work was the way to go. But then I had to glue all the pieces parts together! Couldn't squeeze the glue bottle, so I had to go lefty. Let's just say it took a LONG TIME to put this baby together! Oh, and then I had to try to photograph it with the hubs heavy camera ~ holy smokes! I sure hope the ladies at Color Hues like it!

I treated myself to this pretty set of peony dies from a Birch Press Design sale for Christmas. They were cut from paper with a soft pink pattern on it. I love the leaves and centers all dolled up in gold! I used matching gold paper on the PFS frame. The embossed panel is from my sweet friend Greta. A simple sentiment went onto an old Spellbinders label. My hubby thought it was a classy card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back this weekend with my card for Just Us Girls. We've switched things up in our weekly rotation by swapping out a couple of a challenges for couple of new ones!

Give Thanks

Hey there! The days just seem to be whizzing by lately. I've been working on Christmas cards, trying to get caught up ~ OY! But I did finally manage to get a card made for a challenge or two. This one is for Color Hues and Sunday Stamps.

Using Carved Pumpkin and Peeled Paint inks, I randomly stamped a panel using PRS leaves, grid and dots. After die cutting it with a PPP banner I added it to a panel cut with an Altenew cover plate. I opted for ribbon as the top portion of the Sunday Stamps sketch then popped on a DeNami circular sentiment. I'll hand deliver this one to my mom and dad so a button seemed like a good finishing touch. I haven't used one of those in a while!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wishing you...

Time does have a way of passing quickly. I'm finally getting around to adding a card to the Color Hues gallery. They're celebrating their 2nd birthday! Here's my go at navy and lime.

I started with a sweet floral image by Simply Graphic topped with two of their die cut butterflies. Their wings are filled with polka dot vellum. The sentiment is one I've had forever (Rubber Cottage). I thought it paired perfectly with the elements I've used! Polka dots, gingham, pretty little flowers... cute!

Okay, that's it from me today.

Take care friends and thanks for stopping by!

Sending You God's Blessings

Like so many of you, I'm joining in with making cards for Ukraine to show my support for them. The fear and heartache they must feel is unimaginable. I pray this comes to an end soon and send God's blessings to each and every one of them. My card will be added alongside many others at Color Hues where they have a special challenge using the Ukrainian flag colors of blue and yellow.

The Sunflower is their national flower. I stamped and die cut several of them (PTI) to add to my stenciled sky (MFT). I thought of this DeNami Design sentiment right away when my card idea popped into my head last night. A pair of vellum winged butterflies (Simply Graphic) and a sprinkling of confetti (PPP) finished things off.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today!

Thanks

I spent part of this rainy day making a card or two. This one is for Color Hues. They're looking for navy and pink. I had to search high and low for navy, but I found some!

I found a piece of navy paper (12 Kits leftovers) that was just the right size to die cut this PTI bookmark. I popped it onto a cute die cut panel (SSS). While I was searching for all things navy, I found these flowers (also 12 Kits leftovers) and colored them up with Copics. I used another wee snippet of navy paper for a bow (The Stamp Market) to ground the flowers. A vellum sentiment (Altenew) tops it all off.

Off we go to the gallery!

Merry Christmas!

The Color Hues challenge is looking for red and kraft, a combination I happen to love! Some ancient Jillibean Soup scraps were just what I needed to bring this card to life.

Be still my polka dot loving heart! With careful placement, I had just enough paper for a gorgeous big Altenew poinsettia and a partial little one. Some coordinating striped paper helped to pull the brick red, kraft and white together. My Magenta sentiment was stamped in white then clear embossed. A good sprinkling of PPP Marshmallow confetti finished things off.

Hope your day is a beautiful one! Thanks for visiting!

You make me feel chirpy!

I'm trying to find my new normal now that Sweet P has finished virtual kindergarten. I must admit I miss my little sidekick!  After seeing my friends Michele and Marcia playing along at Color Hues, they inspired me to get inky!

I thought this little bird by MFT would make a sweet blue bird. She's nestled into a tree trunk made with a POD woodgrain background. Some Wplus9 flowers bring in more blue. So there you go, my rainy day fun! Thanks, Michele and Marcia!

Doing my Happy Dance

Hi friends! I'm playing along with the ladies at the Color Hues challenge for the first time today. Their yellow and blue combination was calling my name.

I inked up this darling CAS-ual Fridays ballerina and sentiment for a festive shaker card. I love her little floral tutu! The shaker fillers, frame and border die cut are all by Pretty Pink Posh.

Spring is in the air here in Ohio as we hope to reach temperatures in the low 60s this week ~ happy dancing! Sweet P and I have plans for long afternoon walks after her lessons are finished. They'll probably be followed with front porch bubble blowing!

From our house to yours

I finally found time to make a card for the Color Hues challenge. Have you heard of this one yet? It's been around just a few weeks. This one is challenge #5.

I went the CAS route with my card. The wheat is a Magenta cling stamp I bought years ago. I like to bring it out to play every fall. It's framed with a PPP tag and the sentiment is Hero Arts. Sweet and simple. Hope you like it!
