Just Us Girls #792 ~ Count Your Many Blessings

Carol has a fun Word Week challenge for us at Just Us Girls... CONTAINER! I had lots of ideas and finally settled on this pretty little tea pot die from Paper Sweeties. It's an oldie, but a goodie as is the cute patterned paper I used. Take a look...

I remember making a card with this same paper a few years back. I must have loved it so much that I cut two, because this one was ready to go! The sentiment was tucked in the die pouch as well. I broke out an old DeNami Design stamp for the steam (I think I used that on the other one too!) and popped on a few rhinestones. A simple and cute container!

Okay, you know the drill. I'm sure you have some container stamps or dies in your crafty stash. Pick something and come play along. We would love to have you join us!

Just Us Girls #767 ~ Happy Spring!

Hello and happy spring! I'm hosting our Mood Board challenge at Just Us Girls this week and picked this cheerful spring board for you to work with.

I've had a few of these little Paper Sweeties lamb die cuts in my stash for quite some time. I love to fill them with Stickles for a fluffy look! I popped this little lady onto a Spellbinders label with a little vine stamped along the bottom. I pulled that from the heart on the bottom right of the Mood Board. A few Poppystamp blooms were die cut along with a trio of teeny Poppy butterflies. The debossed base was sent to me by my sweet friend, Greta. You'll notice the little lamb on the Mood Board has gray behind it!

There you go, friends my happy spring wish to all of you! I hope you'll dig into your stash of spring goodies and join us this week. Lets pop over to the blog to see what our guest designer, Jeanne and my teammates have to share!

Hugs and Kisses

It's a pretty sunny day in my neck of the woods! That put me in the mood to craft up this little bundle of springtime for The Paper Players.

The other day I used a large flower cone, this is the smaller die from the set. I tucked in a bit of whimsy (all SG)  then popped in onto my layers. They include a stenciled/die cut panel (MFT & SG), patterned paper, a PPP tag die and a matching stenciled sentiment banner (PS & RC).

A sweet little send off to February.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Paper Players #533 ~ Baby

Hey there! I'm popping back in for a quick minute tonight with my entry for The Paper Players challenge.

When I saw they were asking for cards with animals, I knew just the one I wanted to use. I added Stickles to the little lamb (PS) on Monday so it could dry. Then I got busy this week and completely forgot about it until this evening! I partially die cut a PTI bookmark twice so I could tie them together. Finally, I added a PTI tiny tag to the bow.

This will be tucked into a gift for our nephew and his wife who are expecting their first baby, a girl, next month!

Count your many blessings

I'm doing something I haven't done in awhile...playing along at CASology! Their cue word is Tea. This card popped into my mind, so I gave it a go.

This darling teapot is by Paper Sweeties. I die cut it from some older MME paper. The steam is a DeNami image. This was super simple to make I love the way it turned out!

In troubling times like this, I do count my blessing and am thankful for what we have. There are so many struggling right now and it's heartbreaking. My prayers go out to all of them. Be safe, be well and may God bless you all.

Happy Spring

Hey there! Popping in today with a cute little spring card for a couple of challenges. The Paper Players are asking for spring fever cards and Addicted to CAS is looking for fluffy.

Thinking of fluffy brought this sweet lamb (Paper Sweeties) to mind. I've coated her with Frosted Lace Stickles and tucked her into a layered oval die cut (PPP). A trio of felt blooms and a pair of polka dots clouds complete the picture!

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Sweeties 2016 Holiday Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome! I'm joining the Paper Sweeties design team as a guest for their annual holiday blog hop! I decided to use this event to make a special tag for one of Penelope's gifts!

I used the Abigail stamp and die to begin. I paper pieced her little PJs and colored her with Copics. Frosted Lace Stickles were added as accents. She's popped up on a Spellbinders tag that was dry embossed with polka dots. The perfectly delightful peppermint stripe ribbon was a gift from my sweet blogging friend Kim!! It's adorned with a jingle bell and Paper Sweeties candy cane. The trio of hearts was stamped and die cut from the Splendor of Autumn set. The 'for you' sentiment comes from this set too.

And then of course I had to add Sweet Pea to it for gamma's girl!!

I'm grateful to Debbie for inviting me to be part of the hop this year! Be sure to check out the Paper Sweeties blog for more inspiration, specials, giveaways, sales, prizes and surprises along the way!

cQc #353 ~ A Bundle of Love!

Hidyho!! I'm here today to share a little bundle of love with you for ColourQ! We have a pretty summery palette and a super sweet inspiration photo this week.

I deigned a CAS card with an adorable little lamb from Paper Sweeties. I dressed up her surroundings with a few blooms and leaves from PTI's Polka Dot Parade #6. She's standing on a wee grassy hill cut with a new Pretty Pink Posh die that will be released in just a couple of days!! I topped things off with a sentiment from Rubber Moon. My cousin is expecting her first baby, a boy!  This will be tucked into her gift from my mom and I for her upcoming shower.

Thanks ever so much for spending a bit of time with me today. I would like to thank my newest followers for joining me in this blogging journey. I appreciate it more than you know. And for those of you who have been with me awhile, I appreciate you too~Lisa

Blessings!

Happy Saturday! I have a sweet card to share today that I will be sending to our niece and her hubby. My brother's daughter recently had twins! Yep, identical baby boys!! The little guys decided they didn't want to wait until May so they came into this world a bit earlier than planned. Everyone is doing very well. In fact the doctors say the little pumpkins are doing better than expected!! Non the less, prayers would be greatly appreciated.

I pulled out a 6x6 by Studio Calico and this sweet little lamb by Paper Sweeties. I trimmed around some of those cute patterned clouds then added a coordinating paper to the bottom. This strip was die cut with a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 3. This sentiment by Impression Obsession is one of my favorites, love the font! I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the little lambs and a sprinkling of Sparkling Clear Sequins (6mm & 4mm) from PPP.

Thanks for spending a bit of time with me today.
Enjoy your weekend! ~Lisa

Paper Sweeties 3rd Birthday Celebration Hop!

Hello and welcome! I'm happy to be joining in with a talented group of designer for the Paper Sweeties 3rd birthday blog hop! Debbie was kind enough to ask former members of her design team to join the current members for this month long celebration. All of the details can be found on the Paper Sweeties blog.

Aren't the colors pretty and just look at those cupcakes! I pulled some decorative paper, minty green cardstock, a paper doily and Paper Sweeties products for my card.

I stamped and die cut the cupcake from the Sending Sweet Thoughts set. After die cutting a snippet of paper for the cupcake wrapper I scored it for that realistic look!

My sentiment comes from the Happy Everything set. Love those cute flowers with letter centers! I embellished my card with Mint Seam Binding and Marshmallow Sequins.

Next up on the hop is Lori Hairston. Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you have a chance to join in the celebration! ~Lisa

Looking back at 2014!

What a year this has been. I went into 2014 with pneumonia, (that was no fun), said hello and goodbye to design teams and joined the addictive world of Pinterest. The absolute lowest part of this past year was the loss of my sweet beautiful boy Max. I miss my little pup so very much. Thankfully the year was finished off with a beautiful gift from God...my precious granddaughter Penelope. She's a new bright spot in my life that came just when I needed her most.

Like so many fellow cardmakers, I'm taking a little trip down memory lane with my favorite cards from the past year. I've picked one from each month...enjoy!

Paper Sweeties December Inspiration #26

Hello hello! It's the first day of a new month and that brings with it a new inspiration challenge from Paper SweetiesWe're celebrating with a Happy Holidays theme of red, white and green.

I've decided to step down from the Paper Sweeties Alumni Design Team, so this is my final post as a member. I want to thank Debbie for making this past year on both the regular and alumni teams so very enjoyable. Another big thank you to the DT as well, such sweet sweet ladies!

I was inspired by the red and white gingham and thought Emma would look cute in a little gingham Christmas nightgown! This is my favorite PS set, Some Bunny Loves You, love the bunny and slippers! Sadly it's retired.

I've used a crisp white embossed (DeNami Design) background to let all of her cuteness really stand out! Diamond Stickles give her just a little holiday sparkle. A simple sentiment was punched out using a square scallop MS punch.

Think I'll link this one up over at The Paper Players where they have a new tic tac toe challenge up. I went with the center line that includes Patterned Paper, Embossing and Snowflake! But then again the White, Snowflakes and Glitter line works too!!

That just about wraps it up.
Hop along with the PS team to see how they were inspired! ~Lisa

Paper Sweeties Nov.Inspiration Challenge #25

Hello, hello it's the first of a new month and that means a new inspiration challenge at Paper Sweeties! I love the color combination Debbie has put together for us. Come hop along with the team, won't you, for some wonderful inspiration. The complete hop list is below.

I focused on the colors for my card. I wanted to use a pair of the oh so sweered and white chenille candy canes. I also wanted to let them take center stage, so I kept everything else to a minimum. A little DP, a layered paper doily, a tiny jingle bell and a little wooden clothespin that I covered with Washi Tape then added a bit of glitter. I love this sentiment from the Sending Sweet Thoughts stamp set and think it works perfectly with the candy canes!

Okay that does it for me now hop on over to Lysa's blog and have yourself a delightful day ~Lisa
