Hello Gorgeous!

Pucker up buttercup, we're celebrating lemons at Inspired By

When I was a teenager, I was head majorette in a baton and drum corp. Many of the parades we marched in were part of a festival. One of my favorite treats was the fresh squeezed lemonade. Have you ever had it from one of those festival stands? They add the lemons, sugar and water to a big cup with lots of ice, top it with another cup and shake it up! It was always the perfect mix of lemon and sweetness. That's what inspired my lemon filled shaker card! All of my dies and shaker fillings are from Pretty Pink Posh, the sentiment too.

Okay, now it's your turn. Will you be inspired by our inspiration photo, the sketch... maybe both?

Edit: I had no way to contact Erika concerning her question about the lemons I used. The lemons and gingham are patterned paper. American crafts... I think!

Hello and welcome to The 12 Kits of Occasions November edition! Lindsey is our hostess this month. She put together an incredibly pretty kit for us called {All is Calm, All is Bright}. I have oodles to share, so I'll just get right to it.

First up is this darling ornament that I attached to the shimmery checked paper with a snazzy swag of goodies. Those four little sprigs and snowflakes are from my stash of PPP products.

I colored up this pretty pair of poinsettias with Copics then layered them with Lindsey's lovely greenery and berries.

This tree from the kit looks contemporary to me so I let that dictate the design. Not my usual, but not too bad.

I love the way this clean layered number turned out!

I ask you, what's not to love about this little fella? I added my own PPP sentiments and snowflakes.

This big ornament was just begging to be embossed with polka dots!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you Lindsey for your lovely kit!
And thanks to my visitors today.
I love it when you stop by!
This past week was a big blur hence my tardiness with my 12 Kits of Occasions post. I thought today was the 29th ~ OY!!!
Kim is our hostess this month. Her {Friends and Food} kit was simply delightful! Speaking of delightful...Kim has invited the fabulous Greta Hess to join us this month as her guest. Greta and I have been blogging besties for a long time, so I am over the moon happy to have her with us!
Anyone for a donut?
I can think of three in my life.
Two male and one tiny female!
Who wouldn't like a pretty little mixing bowl like this one!
See what a meant about a delightful kit. The floral papers and heartwarming sentiments just make me smile!
Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to see what my teammates and our guest Greta have to share. I know I can't wait!
Wish Big
Holy smokes is it HOT or what! Air conditioning and card making were on my agenda to beat the heat. I couldn't find a challenge for this sweet little fella. But here he is, nonetheless.
This image was leftover from one of my 12 Kits of Occasions kits, so I'm not sure who makes it. I colored him then used a PPP die to cut him out. The banner behind him is by MFT and the itty bitty sentiment is from the PTI Tiny Tags set.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hello...anybody there?
It's been far too long since I've been able to get any cards posted. Our computer is finally back ~ sheesh! We also have a small construction project going on. It's never dull around here!
So now, without further ado, here are my 12 Kits of Occasions cards from April. Kara was our hostess sending each of us her festive and fun {For the Graduate} kit.
An extra festive shaker for a college graduate in the family.
A sprinkle of confetti from a sweet bunny will be on it's way to Sweet P. She's almost finished with her first year of preschool!
Can you spot the polka dot vellum on this one?
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back soon with new Precious Remembrance Shop projects. Have a blessed day.
Hey, How Are You?
Are you ready for a plethora of polka dots? My sweet blogging friend Sue Lelli (Card Therapy) sent  me the link to The City Crafter Challenge Blog who's current challenge is polka dots. She had seen a card I made and wondered if I had time to whip up another for the challenge. She had me at polka dots...so here ya go!
I've had the red polka dot paper for an eternity, not sure of the company. I cut the edge with a PPP border die.The flowers and leaves are PTI, a set I haven't used in a long time. I added speckles to the leaves using a stamp from PRS Fall Colors. Those cup little cups and the sentiment are from the PRS Coffee Love set.
All of these polka dots make me happy, how about you?
Round 2!
As I mentioned yesterday, I have a few more cards to share using my August "Teacher's Pet" kit. Hope you like them!
This sweet bunny has stolen my heart!
I just love this little mouse on her tippy toes!
I jazzed up the adorable Precious Remembrance Shop bus with rhinestone flashers and headlights. Glossy Accents coat the windows. A Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Border die was used to frame the sentiment. And finally a cluster of goodies along the top.
I have a couple of more to share in a day or two. I wasn't happy with the photos and need to retake them. Thanks so much for popping by again. Have a wonderful day!
Summer is flying by at lightening speed. It's the last day of July, how can that possibly be? The only good thing about it is that it means it's time for our 12 Kits of Occasions post! Kim Heggins is our hostess this month. Her kit, called "Christmas in July" was filled with lots of goodies to help build up our Christmas card stash. Mine is in desperate need!
Isn't this a fun little trio! I fussy cut the image then framed it with a PPP Stitched Photo Frame die. The pups have glossy accents on their noses.
Isn't she a prim and proper kitty!
Kim had elements for the kit tucked into this cute bag. I think I'll add a coffee shop gift card to it. The sentiment was die cut using a PPP Mini Tags die. I thought the whipped cream was begging me for a good dose of glitter. Love the way it looks!
The vellum snowflakes here were made with a PTI die.
This one is my favorite! Isn't this little girl cute! I used a PPP  Scallop Borders die for the snowy hill. I loved the candy cane paper Kim sent. This chevron ribbon was the perfect accent for it. I'll add a sentiment to the inside when I decide where this one will go.
That's it for me. Be sure to visit my teammates for loads and loads of inspiration. I'm headed there now, want to tag along?
FMS #220 ~ Totally Sweet!
So I remembered the Freshly Made Sketches, but I remembered it a little bit wrong LOL!! It's a bit long on the left, I was on a roll with my cute pea pods. I'm not sure if I like this card, but what the heck, I'm entering anyway!!
I've used the largest pea pod and a sentiment included in my newly released Sweet Pea stamp set from Precious Remembrance Shop. I masked the pea pod and stamped it several times. After adding the DP (looky Michele!!) and adhering everything to a white card base, I sprinkled on several sequins from the PPP Sweet Pea Mix.
So that's it for me tonight.
I'll have the winners of the Sweet Pea Stamp sets tomorrow.
They'll be hand picked by Sweet P herself!!! ~Lisa
cQc #304 ~ For You!
Good day! We have a bright and pretty new color palette up at ColourQ today. Aqua is my favorite color to use on my cards. Pair it with red, even better!!
I love arches in architecture. Doors, windows, arched openings into rooms. I decided to make an arched door (paper MME) adorned with a colorful wreath for my card. I've used PPP's Stitched Duo 3 for my "door" and the wreath was die cut with the circle from Stitched Banner Duo 2. The wreath is made up of elements from PTI's Tag It's 3, SSS Autumn Blessings, Mama Elephant's Dainty Bow and Pretty Pink Posh metallic gold sequins (4mm & 6mm). I stamped a border by Precious Remembrance Shop repeatedly then die cut it for my bow.
Wow that's a lot of companies on one little wreath!!
The sentiment and banner are from yet another company, Reverse Confetti!
Hope your week has gotten off to a good start! Come by the ColourQ blog to join in the fun. We would love to see your card in the gallery! ~Lisa
cQc #287 & CCC #142 ~ Sweet!
Hello my bloggy friends! Can I interest you in a new palette from ColourQ? You're going to like this one...Basic Black, Basic Gray, White and One Spot Color! That's right...a color of your choice!
Now I think it goes without saying who this card is for *winky wink*!! My very sweet bloggy friend Michele sent me the prettiest card with several of these pea pods all stamped and die cut tucked inside! Wasn't that nice of her!! All I have to do is add color. And that my friends is my spot color, a fresh spring sweet pea green!
My card base was dry embossed with my favorite doily embossing folder. Next came my Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Banner Duo. I saved the white die cut square for a future project and popped in this DP one instead. Who knew when I bought this word die last spring that it would be perfect for my precious granddaughter!! Glossy Accents and a glitter Jelly Roll pen jazzed up the peas. And a few PPP 4mm & 6mm Marshmallow Sequins add a little pizazz to my card!
Just so happens that CASology has a new cue word: Sweet. I think this will do! Love it when things work out that way.
I'm so happy you could visit with me today. Be sure to check out my cQc teamies and their beautiful work! Hope to see your project in the gallery this week ~Lisa
Wishing You the Best!
Hi there! Popping in with a quick post for the Tag You're It Challenge. The challenge this week is based on a beautiful card designed by my very dear bloggy friend Marybeth! Here's my take on it.
I was inspired by the kraft leafy vine, trailing sequins and flowers. Everything began with a PPP Stitched Duo 3 die cut. My leaves and sentiment  (Kraft ink) are PTI, the small solid hibiscus (Autumn Rose ink) is from DeNami Design. I sprinkled on several PPP burgundy Sequins ~ 4mm & 6mm. I topped things off with a loopy twine bow and scrap of burgundy gingham ribbon.
Have a blessed Sunday friends ~Lisa
Wishing You Well!
Hey there, I'm back with a card I put together for three challenges! Two of my sweet bloggy friends have terrific challenges going on right now. Darnell (djkardkreations) is sponsoring her popular NBUS and Kara (K and R Designs) brought us something fun from her Friday Inspiration File feature. And the third, well that would be Simon Says Stamp {Something New}.
The inspiration for this card comes from Gayatri's card in Kara's file #154. I stuck close to her pretty design with a few little changes. I've used my new Reverse Confetti stamps and dies along with a couple of PTI leaves that had yet to be inked to qualify for the new and the never-before-used-schtuff! Once I finished the card it needed some bling and my new Pretty Pink Posh seed beads worked perfectly!
That's it from me on this bitter cold snowy day ~ brrrr! ~Lisa
Looking back at 2014!
What a year this has been. I went into 2014 with pneumonia, (that was no fun), said hello and goodbye to design teams and joined the addictive world of Pinterest. The absolute lowest part of this past year was the loss of my sweet beautiful boy Max. I miss my little pup so very much. Thankfully the year was finished off with a beautiful gift from God...my precious granddaughter Penelope. She's a new bright spot in my life that came just when I needed her most.
Like so many fellow cardmakers, I'm taking a little trip down memory lane with my favorite cards from the past year. I've picked one from each month...enjoy!
