WMC #83 ~ Take Two!

Hey friends! I'm back with another card for the final Wee Memories challenge. I told you  my mind was going in several directions for this one ~ HA! So I went to work on a cute card this time. And what better subject matter than my cute boy Max! I could just squeeze him!!!

All of the DPs are from Fancy Pants Designs: Beach Bum 6x6 pad. This sweet little miniature schnauzer stamp is by Bugawumps. My "bundle of love" (which is exactly what he is!) sentiment is Rubber Soul. Martha Stewart and EK border punches added in my scallops. The label dies behind Mr. Max are from MFT.

And speaking of Mr. cutie boy Max...this is how he rolls when the snow flies!!! He's a crazy boy in deep love with the white stuff!!! Check out his stylin polar snow gear! It says "Fido Fleece" on the side..heee!

Thanks for visiting ~Lisa

WMC # 82 ~ Mini!

I've been busy in my mini art studio today making a frilly mini tag and a sweet mini card for the Wee Memories "mini" challenge. This one was really fun for me, you see I like small things! Small stamps, small dies, small tools, papers with small pretty prints...well I think you get the picture!

I have two mini projects to share. Both were made using tid bits of what nots that had made their way into a small pile on my desk! You'll see the bigger parts in upcoming posts.

First up is a frilly little tag using scraps from MME Lost and Found: blush paper and leftovers from two PTI border dies. The PTI sentiment stamps are from the tiny tags collection stamped with autumn rose ink. I used my mini rolled rose die from MFT for this sweet felt bloom. And finally a few Hero Arts gem flowers, bits of ribbon and floss to tie up my tag. Quick and easy measuring a mere 3" x 2 1/4"!

Next up is my mini card using October Afternoon paper. The branch is from Hero Arts and the tiny red flower is PTI. A Love Lives Here stamp & die from PTI were used for the circle/heart backed with a felt flower. This simply adorable polka dot flower is a PTI tiny tag stamp & die (love it!). Some mini ball fringe, a couple of staples and a teeny twine bow wrap it up nicely! This one measures 3" x 3".

That's all for now friends! Thanks for checking out my mini projects ~Lisa

Christmas Blessings!

Hello my sweet blogging friends! I wanted to take a moment to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas filled with blessings and the hope of a happy and healthy New Year. I'm truly grateful to have met so many new friends (and might I add talented!) through this blogging journey of mine. To my treasured followers, you're the best and you lift my spirits every day.

I have another Christmas card to share for the Wee Memories challenge #80. And I'm dedicating it to all of you special people who pop in to visit me from time to time. I love hearing from you and having your continued support and encouragement.

The circle frame/violet stamp and the larger floral stamp are both Hero Arts. I fussy cut a few of the violets then popped them up with foam dots. My pine sprig punch is Martha Stewart. This beautiful image of the Holy Mother and baby Jesus is from the Christmas postage stamps that I bought last year. You know that larger image they have on the book of stamps...I thought it was far too pretty to throw away! I cut away part of the circle stamp to nestled them in among the violets and pine. The tiny sentiment is by Morning Star Stamps and the dot clusters are from Stamps by Judith. A scattering of jeweled flowers and some Stickles give my card a touch of holiday sparkle.

Christmas Blessings  ~Lisa

WMC #80 ~ Happy Birthday!

We've had a mix of weather the past couple of days; a little rain a touch of snow. I can't believe the mild temps we're having. A few days ago there was enough snow to form a good snowball or two to throw to the "snow crazed" Max! That boy does love his snowballs and one or two does not cut the cake with him! He chases them till our arms fall off ~ HA!!!

OK enough of the snow talk; I'm not ready for too much of the white stuff myself. Well that is unless it's in the form of a cute snowman stamp! I must admit I do have a fondness for those and you'll probably see a few over the next month! I picked up this Stampendous stamp at Archiver's on my last visit there with my SIL: aka stamping buddy! She has a birthday in a couple of days and this is the card I sent her. I can just hear Frosty the Snowman saying "Happy Birthday"!

Isn't this stamp the cutest...so festive and happy! I used some paper scraps for my background and some fun old fashioned tinsel I picked up while Christmas shopping. Then of course I had to pour on a bit of glitter for my girl! She also has a fondness for the snow people and the sparkle. Hope she enjoyed this one. I'm also entering it over at Wee Memories this week. It's an anything goes challenge for the next two weeks.

Take care friends and thanks for visiting ~Lisa

WMC #79 ~ Holiday!

Hi there! I'm back tonight with an entry for the Wee Memories challenge. They made it very easy on us this week...the theme is Holiday!

I made these tags to put on Christmas gifts for my son and daughter-in-law. I started with an off white pre-made tag then added some snippets of paper from Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly collection. Next I used a warm brown ink on the top portion of the tag to age it a bit before stamping with various stamps from PTI's Love Lives Here Holiday set. I used Spellbinders labels 18 for my focal panel. The papers on the smaller labels are also from the Cosmo Cricket collection. These ADORABLE stockings are from the same PTI set. I used glitter on their tiny toppers and raised them with foam tape. Jingle bells, twine, ribbon, cording and pompoms are all from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you like them! ~Lisa

WMC #78

OK...I know I wrote a couple of days ago no challenges right now. But... hang on here a sec, I also wrote that I had a few things made ahead to post. And... it just so has it that Wee Memories is having a free for all challenge this week! No sketch, no color requirements, no specific technique...anything goes. I had already made a little something to share with you that was perfect for this so I had to link it up friends!!! Hope you like it!

This sweet little ornament starts out with a 5" papermache star that I got from my SIL aka: stamping buddy. I lightly covered the edges with a chestnut brown chalk ink then glued on the pretty blue holly paper from Cosmo Cricket's: 6x6 Jolly by Golly collection. The stamped label die cut is Papertrey Ink and the little strip of snowmen is also from the Cosmo Cricket paper collection.  My Merry Christmas sentiment is a Magenta stamp. I added the lace trim, pearls, wooden painted star, ribbons, tulle and pearl button all from my stash of goodies! This was a snap to make and I just love the way it turned out.

I want to THANK all of you who left comments and sent emails for my sweetheart hubs speedy recovery. Your prayers are also GREATLY appreciated. I'm happy to report that today has been his best day ~yay! A better appetite and even spending a bit of time at his computer. He has the entire month off to rest, get better, be spoiled (well...he already was a little!) and enjoy the holidays!!! Take care my friends, I'll be around to visit ~Lisa

PDCC #105 & WMC #74

Hi there, hope everyone had a good weekend! We had lunch out with my parents yesterday and trick or treat in our neighborhood last night. I had the sweetest little guy stop by dressed as Elmo who insisted he was Big Bird!!! So cute! Our neighbor's one year old daughter and her slightly older cousin were the most adorable lion cubs sitting face to face in a wagon! Today was nice and quiet, just readying a few things outdoors for the coming winter weather. I did have a quick minute or two to put together a card for two challenges. I'm using the colors from the Play Date Cafe:  kraft/taupe, flesh & cadet blue and the Wee Memories: brads, buttons or bows.

My card  is pretty simple. I started with a kraft base layered with a sweet Webster's Pages polka dot paper then used a Martha Stewart lattice punch on the cadet blue panel. Next I stamped my teddy bears from Stamps by Judith in sepia ink and colored with a taupe marker and flesh colored pencil. The kraft butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiment is a portion of a Rubber Cottage stamp. A few bitty buttons, a chipboard button tied with twine and that's it for me! Thanks for taking a look!!! ~Lisa

CFC #22 & WMC #70 ~ Cupcake Fairy!

Welcome! I have a whimsical card to share today. I made this for the "feeling loopy" challenge at CAS-aul Fridays.  And the "favorite technique" challenge at Wee Memories Scrappy Saturdays. What's my favorite technique...I love adding dimension to my cards and sprinkling them with bling! Oh the bling, the twinkle, the sparkle,  the pizazz...yep, yep, yep I like that!!! But just a smidgen...lets not get crazy here!

Now who wouldn't enjoy a yummy cupcake delivered by this sweet fairy? Isn't she just the cutest bit of whimsy! She's from Past Time Stamps (no longer in business...boo!). I stamped her in sepia ink onto white cardstock and colored her with markers and chalk then added Stickles for her twinkling wings. Backed with a chocolate cardstock and loops of argyle ribbon; it's mounted onto the card with foam tape. I looped the ribbon around her wrist and over the branch for her to "deliver" the yummy stickled cupcakes (stamp by Judith). The hearts (also popped up) are a Fiskars punch and the flower gems are Hero Arts.

Be sure to stop by both blogs to get an eyeful of inspiration! You're sure to be left feeling loopy after that...great stuff to gander at my friends! And just what's your favorite technique?  ~ Lisa

WMC68 ~ It's a Good Day!

When I can complete the dreaded washing of all the mini blinds and have time to make a card or two it is definitely a good day!!! This one is for the Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday challenge. No patterned paper this week. WHAT.....no pretty papers to complete my little composition ~ yikes! I've grown so accustomed to flipping through my yummy assortment that it was hard to turn my back on them. So back to stamping 101 I went!!!

This cute little tricycle and sentiment are from Unity, the background stamp is Hero Arts and the teeny tiny ladybug is DeNami. A brad and a bit of twine finish things up. That's it for me; thanks for visiting ~Lisa

WMC #66 " Simply Sentiments" ~ Hello!

Hello friends, I'm back today with a card for this weeks Scrappy Saturday challenge at Wee MemoriesThe last few days here in Ohio have been much cooler...dare I say fallish! I am not ready to give up my flip flops!!! But I was inspired by some wonderful sunflowers I saw on a walk today with Max. I thought of a pretty wreath for my front porch when I saw them. Something happy and cheerful to say a big warm hello to my guests!

The DPs are My Minds Eye and the sunflower stamp is PSX. My hello stamp company name isn't there...sorry about that! I hope you all have a lovely and blessed week ~Lisa

Wee Memories #65 ~ Back to School!

School days...school days...good old golden rule days! Guess what song will be going through your head for a few days;  haha!!! Back to school is the theme for the Wee Memories challenge this week.

I thought I would make a whimsical little scene for this challenge. Every year for my daughter-in-law's birthday I make her a big stack of little cards she can give to her first grade students as thank yous. I bought this school bus (Rubber Soul) last year for that very purpose. I started with an ivory cardstock then used chalk for my sky, grass and sun. I stamped the sweet houses (KK Originals) colored & cut them out. These trees from Memory Box are one of my favorite stamps. The fence, teeny weeny grass and stones are all from Art Impressions and the heart is Judith. A scrap of paper for my road, brads for the bus tires and a couple of gems for the caution lights! That's about it. Happy singing...~ Lisa

Cosmo Cricket/Cards Magazine sketch

Happy Wednesday! I have a card to share today for a Cosmo Cricket challenge! Debbie Olson has given us this wonderful sketch to combine with our Cosmo Cricket products. Cards Magazine will chose one of the entries for publication...how fun is that! And it falls into the masculine challenge this week over at Wee Memories too. Yeehaw...two for one!

Oh my goodness where to begin; I have so many Cosmo Cricket 6x6 mini pads in my art studio to chose from. So...I decided to go all out fun on this one with one of my favorite papers! The tiny cowboys from the Wanted collection! Love, love, love these little buckaroos!!!

I started with a kraft cardstock base and added my layers of various papers and chipboard pieces from the Wanted collection following the sketch. I did a bit of stitching, distressing and added a piece of rope along with a few teeny tiny stars. Now to ride off into the sunset ~ well not really...I don't have a horse! I'll just take my little Max for a walk instead! ~Lisa

WMC #63!

Hello out there in blog land...I have a Wee Memories challenge card to share tonight!

Could this little happy hopper from Stampabilities be any cuter?!!! This was a sweet gift awhile back from my sister-in-law (aka: stamping buddy).  And I must say I am totally smitten with this furry fella. He's colored with colored pencils.

This dare to color challenge requires us to use no less than 4 colors. My background paper is  pinkpaislee: fruit stand (the cute gingham is the reverse side!). The twine is lime twist: charmed and the sentiment is stampin up. The other 1/2 of the sentiment is "you made my day" and I have that on the inside.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out all of the other colorful cards over at Wee Memories! ~ Lisa

Wee Memories Challenge # 62: "CAS - Clean and Simple" !

Hi everyone I have a new Wee Memories challenge card to post today. This challenge is for a clean and simple card (also known as CAS). I went with a crisp white cardstock, added a layer of dove gray and topped off with hints of blue.

Isn't this hydrangea stamp from Inkadinkado the cutest! I bought this while vacationing on Cape Cod a couple of years ago. While there we took the ferry boat ride to Nantucket Island. Oh my goodness...I fell in love with that place!!! The quaint cobblestoned main street, the smell of the sea and little gray saltbox houses with the sweetest picket fences were so charming. The hydrangea bushes had burst into beautiful blooms in brilliant shades of blue. This card is for my cherished memory of that wonderful trip to the enchanting far away land of Nantucket!  ~Lisa

WMC ~ "Summertime" Challenge #61

Happy Independence Day!!!  The 4th of July celebrations are upon us; quite literally.... firecrackers, bottle rockets, cherry bombs, fireworks and anything else that pops, bangs and booms have been going off around here for hours!  My poor little Max has been camped out on the bathroom rug seeking refuge from his least favorite time of year.

I thought I would take this opportunity to use one of my favorite stamps for the Wee Memories Summertime Challenge.

These little fellas marching in their beach parade would be more up Max's alley!!! This stamp is from 100 Proof Press...I just don't know if it gets any cuter than these tiny tots! I stamped them in black dye ink then colored with tombow markers. Accents with a glitter gel pen are here and there for some zing! All of the paper is from Lilybeedesign: Picket Fence 6x6 Tiny Tablet. The die cut with it's matching stamp & sentiment are PTI Fillable Frames Additions 1. I used my slice machine for the #4 then added some gems, a button, star brad & ribbon to finish off this happy little crew. So this is it... my "summertime" card .

Thanks so much for "popping" in  ~ Lisa
