Thanks!

Brace yourselves... this one might be a little busy. Well, the hubs thinks so! Maybe it's my Robitussin buzz! But you know, I think I kind of like it. He didn't care for the patterned poinsettias, but I think they're fun! I'll let you all be the judge. I put this one together for The Flower Challenge using The Color Hues Challenge colors of teal and silver.

I couldn't let the season go by without using my favorite Waffle Flower poinsettias. I cut them from some old October Afternoon paper, layered each one up then added silver rhinestones to their centers. I used pretty silver cardstock from The Stamp Market for my Altenew sentiment as well as the little Simply Graphic pine sprigs. A postal frame borders the embossed pine in the background.

Off this goes to both galleries.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the get well wishes.
Bronchitis just doesn't know when to give up!

Just Us Girls #799 ~ Merry Christmas

Hello, friends! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. This is an easy one, CASE any member of the design team! Pop over to the blog, check out the cards and then have fun. Speaking of fun, check out this cool dude on my card!

Isn't he a cutie! He's from Lasting Impressions. I fussy cut him and popped him onto the WF snowflake background. I used a retired Poppystamps Scalloped Frame and a few PPP snowflakes. A simple sentiment by MB and a few rhinestones finished things off.

How about a bonus card today?

The sheet from Lasting Impressions has more than one bear on it. I used the smaller pair on this version and just switched up the background and frame (RC). More PPP snowflakes and another MB sentiment worked here too!

We do hope you'll play along this week at Just Us Girls.

If you're chosen as our winner, you have a chance to guest design with us!

Just Us Girls #798 ~ Happy Holidays

It's stencil week at Just Us Girls and we hope you'll join us! Thanks so much to our guest designer, Greta Hess for spending the month of October with us! I have a bright and cheerful holiday card to share with you. This went together in a snap.

Take a look...

I used the pretty Waffle Flower Folk Art Frame stencil and die set. After die cutting the frame, I added it to a Bazzill Flamingo card base. Isn't that little bit of texture wonderful? The sentiment, by PPP was stamped then die cut with the little swag and rhinestones added.

Alrighty, it's your turn now.

What stencil will you pick out to share with us?

Just Us Girls #794 ~ Thankful for You

It's stencil week at Just Us Girls and I'm hosting! Grab a stencil from your stash and come join us! Remember, if you are chosen as our Winner of the Week, you have a chance to guest design with us for the month of November.

I pulled out some retired Poppystamps dies to add to my stenciled panel. I like this Nordic squirrel all dolled up in her autumn finery and those pretty little fall leaves! After stenciling a kraft panel using white ink and a WF stencil, I die cut it with a Spellbinders hemstitch die. Everything was popped onto a white card base and finished off with a simple fall sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today.

I do hope you'll join us this week!

Just Us Girls #781~ Hi

Hey there! It's stencil week at Just Us Girls ~ a popular challenge for us! You'll be playing along with us, right? Sure hope so. Here's my inspiration card for you!

I picked a sweet stencil by Waffle Flower and inked it up using PTI's Aqua Mist Ink then cut it with an old Wonky Frame (MFT). It's topped with a fun sentiment die cut (TSM) made from PP. A cute little daisy by Poppystamps was all it needed. Isn't the black card base fun? It really makes that patterned paper pop! Say that three times fast!

Your turn now. Any stencil you choose will work for us!
While you're at it, why not add it to the Inkspirational
challenge too, I am... its stencils!

Just Us Girls #769 ~ You're a Hoot!

It's die week at Just Us Girls and Sue is looking for anything but flowers. That's an easy one! I had just the die to use in my arsenal that was recently gifted to me. Take a look...

The Dreamy Frame die by Waffle Flower is so darn cute! I popped a speckled navy blue paper behind the frame then added my sweet little owl (POD) that's perched on a branch. A fun sentiment (Denami) was layered up and it all went onto a soft stone card base. Easy peasy!

Lets go check out what the team and our April guest designer, Wanda Cullen have to share. Then you can get to work on your card!

Merry Christmas!

I have a few Christmas cards that I photographed but have not shared yet. This one fits in with the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge, so I thought I would add it to their gallery. It was one of my very favorites this year!

It all began with a panel from a 6x6 Mintay Papers pad. I simply stamped my sentiment and added my favorite WF poinsettia cut from coordinating paper. What's not to love about a gingham poinsettia with a few tiny rhinestones added to it's center! I popped everything onto a kraft base and it was good to go.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #752 ~ Joy

Hey there, ready for a new challenge at Just Us Girls? Carol has given us this fun combination for color week. Here's my take on them. You'll noticed I went with a lighter shade of blue.

My sweet friend Michele was kind enough to send me a few of her cutie little PB carolers to play with. I colored this one up in our challenge colors then added her to a row of birch trees (ME) sprinkled with snowflakes and joy.

While I was at it, I colored another and surrounded her with snowflakes (WF)! They both have Stickles added to their hats and the pom poms on the jackets.

We can't wait to find out how you'll use Carol's fun color combination. You will be in our gallery this week, won't you? I sure hope so!

Just Us Girls #747 ~ Thankful

Hey there! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. It's also a new month and that means we have a new guest designer. Welcome, Kerry Parkinson, we're happy to have you joining us!

This is color week and I'm hosting! I had an old piece of October Afternoon (remember them?) paper in my stash that gave me a pretty color combination to pass along to you. Here's what I've done with it.

Using a PPP die, I cut a stitched banner than adhered it to a rustic cream card base. When reaching for my PPP fall dies, I found the leaf and pumpkin already cut from chartreuse paper! I added one more leaf to the collection then topped things off with WF sentiments. A few little rhinestones completed the picture.

I love the way this turned out and I love this paper! I hope I've inspired you to join us this week. Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #746 ~ Happy Fall

It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls... stencils, anyone?  I had a small arched panel already cut and stenciled with bricks, so I was determined to put it to use!

I stenciled (WF) more of those little bricks onto another panel then added more interest with this cute Concord & 9th stitched card front die. I popped that arch on then added the fall cuteness. A fun little raccoon (SBJ), sentiment, pumpkins and leaves (PPP) and a grassy border (IO) all played well together!

This is our guest designer, Nance Salkeld's final week guesting with us. We've loved having you, Nance. Thanks so much for joining us this past month!

Alrighty, it's your turn now. I can't wait to see what stencil you choose this week!

Just Us Girls #737 ~ Have a Good Day

Hello friends! It's stencil week at Just Us Girls.

I was in a tropical mood... might want to grab your sunglasses!

She's bright, but I kind of like her! I used a fun tropical stencil by Waffle Flower, cutting the panel down with a PPP banner die. I played around with colors and decided this bright fresh green worked best. It's cut with a Spellbinders hemstitch die. After popping the banner onto the card, I tucked in some coral flowers from Poppystamps, a sweet PPP hummingbird and a sentiment from TSM. What is that, five different companies and they all play well together!

Our stencil challenges are proving to be popular and the team is loving it! Grab one or two from your stash and join us!

Happy Birthday!

Recall repairs are complete and my guy's camera is back in the house. I didn't waste any time in using it either! I put together this fun little number for the current Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

I used the center horizontal row: Stencil, Die-Cut & Frame. I went in a different direction with my frame by using an actual frame die! It's the cute Scallop Frame Die from The Stamp Market. I stenciled the inner panel with a sweet Waffle Flower stencil. Next came the pretty flowers (also TSM) cut from two little squares of paper I've had for an eternity! Sweet Teardrop Butterflies from Poppystamps made themselves at home.

Here's a better look at the actual frame.

 Cute huh!

Enjoy your weekend.

I'm off to get ready for 5:00 Mass!

Hey Friend! ~ Just Us Girls #711

Hello and welcome! It's time for another Just Us Girls challenge. We've added a new one to our line-up this year... stencils! You can use them any way you want to. That's easy enough! Here's what I did...

I pulled my WF snowflake stencil out and thought lilac flakes would be fun! Next came a cute snowman stamp I picked up at Archivers eons ago. Don't you love their happy little faces! I die cut the panel with a PPP border die, then cut two more in coordinating colors. A fun sentiment by Pinkfresh was stamped in the same gray I used for the snowmen. Easy peasy!

Alrighty, now it's your turn.

Come on, you know you have a stencil or two in your stash!

Friends Like You ~ Just Us Girls #710

Hey there, ready for a new Just Us Girls challenge?

I'm hosting this week and I've picked a cozy mood board for you!

Here's a close up.

I knew the stencil I would use and I had the perfect Folk Art Background Die from WF. Do you spy what else inspired me? The plate of owl cookies! Then of course, there needed to be a heart. My Poppystamps Vintage Scalloped Heart was the perfect size. A sweet sentiment by Pinkfresh and I was good to go. Hindsight, I wish I had given my owl blue eyes like that sweet little cat has!

I do hope you have time to join us this week.

It's winter, it's cold. That's a win win to stay in and get crafty!

Joy!

Okay, I have just one more card to share featuring that delightful Waffle Flower poinsettia... I might be mildly obsessed!!

How about another polka dot version! I started with the polka dot embossed background then centered the poinsettia. The letters are from The Stamp Market's Jumbo Joy Die. I used vellum for the shadow layer and rustic cream cardstock for my base. Simple, sweet and oodles of cute!

Off this goes to the Happy Little Stampers gallery.

Thanks for taking a peek today!

Joy

Hey there sweet peeps! I have another Christmas card to share today. I'll be linking this one up at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge. They're looking for anything Christmassy. This works!

I made a few cards this year using the fabulous WF poinsettia die. Hope you're not sick of it yet! A little embossing, patterned paper and die cutting made this one super quick and easy.

I'm off to the grocery store today.

That receipt total has become a real shocker, hasn't it??!!

Christmas at The Paper Players!

Hey there! Did you have a good weekend? Ours was very busy, but productive! This is a quick post with a card for The Paper PlayersThey have a Christmas theme challenge this week. Yeah... I have a few of those cards!

I'm kind of crushing on this card! I do love they way those pretty little polka dot poinsettias (WF) look with their sparkly centers! The tag and knit embossed panel are a few last bits from The 12 Kits of Occasions.

Thanks for visiting.

I'll be back soon with a fun Poppystamps card!

Wishing You a Merry Christmas

I had a little fun playing with some new Waffle Flower products. Well, I've had them for weeks, but they're new! I have to say, I'm quite smitten with the Folk Art Frame stencils and dies!

After I stenciled and die cut them, I added them to the Folk Art Background die. There's gold metallic paper behind it. Do you see it peeking through? I added a couple of those little cut out dots to the flower centers. My sentiment is by Morningstar Stamps. I'm not sure if they're still in business. I bought this at a stamp convention years ago.

Okay, off this goes to The Paper Players gallery. Red, green, gold and a color of your choice... I picked blue!

Hello

The Flower Challenge is looking for dies on our cards this month. So yeah, I might have a few of those! I thought it was a good time to layer up the fabulous Honey Bee cone flower once again.

After die cutting the layers, I did a little ink blending on them. I had a tiny snippet of PP that was just the right color for the center. Lucky me, the leaves were already cut from a previous project. I popped the big bloom onto a lattice panel (WF) that I had added a soft touch of woodgrain stamping to. Then I topped it off with a sentiment from The Stamp Market.

We're finally headed for cooler days. The humid 90's are no fun, 75 is more to my liking! Hope your weather is treating you right today! Thanks for spending a bit of your day with me, friends!

Happy Birthday To You

Hello and welcome! Our challenge at Just Us Girls this week is {CASE a Design Team Member}. Just pick which card from the team inspires you and give us your take on it!

This is the card I gave my hubby for his recent birthday. In case you didn't know, his hobby is photography and birds are his favorite subject! Add flowers to those birds, even better! So this was not too feminine for him at all. In fact, he loved it and thought the gold foiling made it extra fancy!

This beautiful pair of birds from Pinkfresh were hot foiled, stenciled and die cut. They were then added to a soft green card base covered with a WF trellis. The foiled sentiment is by Poppystamps.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay friends, now it's your turn.
Just let us know in your post which card inspired you!
