Joyful Wishes

Don't you like it when you've created a card and then a challenge pops up that it fits right into? That was the case for me when I saw Stef's sketch at The Paper Players. Hot dog!

I had created two cards using the gifted Memory Box Good Cheer set that was released for the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember event. This second one worked out perfectly for the sketch. MB patterned paper was cut into a rectangle then die cut with a Poppystamps Scallop Pinpoint Circle in the center. A few circles were cut and layered for snowy hills. Poppystamps has a new Nordic Winter Magic release and this sweet Scalloped Pinpoint Frame is among the items in the shop. The outer frame was just the right size for the rectangle I had cut. Doesn't my penguin look cute decorating his tiny tree!

Thanks for giving me a place to show off this little cutie, Stef!

Sending Warm Wishes

I discovered I had one Christmas card from last year, photographed and in my drafts, that I had not shared. When I saw The Paper Players had a food challenge, I thought this big cookie fit right in!

The cute iced cookie is a Memory Box die. It was popped onto a polka dot panel cut with a Spellbinders die and finished off with a Memory Box tab sentiment. Easy peasy!

Off this goes to the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Because

When life gets extra busy a clean and simple challenge is one I can work in when I get a few extra minutes. That's just what I did for this week's challenge over at The Paper Players.  LeAnne is looking for CAS cards and things with wheels! Here we go...

I pulled out four old rubber stamps for this one. My little ant pulling his wagon (GRated Stamps) was die cut with a PPP mini tag die. I stamped the strawberry (Stamps by Judith) in his wagon for his haul then popped him onto the card base with the fun border stamp (Rubber Cottage) and sentiment (Savvy Stamps) already in place. Super CAS, super easy to make!

Thanks for popping by, I appreciate your visits!

With Gratitude

It's a rainy day today, a perfect day to snuggle in and get a little card making time. I have one for you today that will be heading to a few challenges. I love it when it works out that way! I've used Stef's colors from The Paper Players, Cécile's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, the top horizontal line from Tic Tac Toe and finally, I've used a frame to fit in over at Diane and Darlene's Double D Challenge! Here we go...

My frame, butterfly and leafy sprigs are all from The Stamp Market. I added some stenciled clouds to the inside of the frame and fussy cut the Altenew sentiment. Off she flutters to the galleries! Thanks so much for stopping by, have a blessed day!

Love Grows in Happy Homes

Hey there, I have a pretty little card to enter over at The Paper Players! I've used Ann's color challenge to CASE one of my own cards made many years ago. The reason for the CASE was that I found the cutie PTI birdhouse already cut in one of the colors I needed!

I stamped the (PTI) leaves to hang the birdhouse from, then topped them with the leftover heart cut-outs. The sentiment and birdhouses are from the PTI Love Lives Here set. An old set that never gets old! After cutting the panel with a Spellbinders hemstitch die, I popped it onto a white card base then added the pearls.

And off she goes to the gallery and I'm off for a regular eye check up.

Dilation... no fun!!

Merry Christmas

I had a couple of Christmas cards that I had photographed but not shared last year. After seeing Claire's sketch over at The Paper Players, I remembered this one and thought it would work. Let's see what you think!

As you can see, the sketch has been flipped on it's ear! I topped a knit embossed panel with a strip of my favorite polka dot paper with a border added. Both cut with PPP border dies. The fun focal is a big sugar cookie by Birch Press Design. A couple of pine sprigs and... ta-da!

Just Us Girls #761 ~ I Love You

Our new die cut challenge at Just Us Girls seems to be a big success! We enjoyed seeing all of your cards last month using your dies. I'm the hostess this week and I'm looking for heart die cuts. I know you have some of those in your stash! A new month also means a new guest designer will be joining us. Welcome, Stephanie we so happy to have you!

And now for my card...

I've paired one of my favorite Poppystamps cover plates (Nordic Flourish Background) with one of my favorite Papertrey Ink heart dies (On the Border: From the Heart Border). Ivory cardstock and some vintage October Afternoon paper did the trick along with a wee sentiment by the Colorado Craft Company

 Okay, your turn

I look forward to seeing what heart dies you choose!

I'll be linking this up over at The Paper Players.

They have a 'love is in the air challenge' this week.

The girls at Double D Challenges are looking for hearts!

Peace

Ready for another blast from the past? How about this angel from PTI's Love Lives Here: holiday set! I'll be sending her over to the gallery at The Paper Players.

When I saw Stef's sketch, a few ideas popped into my head. Then I remembered the greenery in this set and thought it would be a great substitute for the diagonal portion of her sketch! What do you think?

I pulled out an old Spellbinders label for the rectangle ~ cut from MB paper. Another oldie but a goodie, PTI's Tiny Tags, provided a place for the wee sentiment (Morning Star Stamps). More MB paper in the background just to tie the colors together.

Simple and sweet. Hope you like it!

Joy

Hi there! I'm popping is for a quick minute tonight to share a card for a couple of challenges. My sweet freind Marcia is looking for pink and aqua over at Color Hues and Jaydee wants Clean and Simple Christmas cards at The Paper Players. One card, two challenges... here we go!

I used the sweet little snowbaby by Impression Obsession as the O in my JOY (TSM) die cut. I colored this little cutie with Copic then die cut her with a MFT stitched circle. Once I decided on placement, I stamped my favorite Hero Arts snowflake in PTI's Aqua Mist ink.

And off we go to the galleries.
Thanks for taking a look!

Just a Note

Hey there! I'm popping in for a quick minute tonight with a card I made for The Paper Players. Dots were involved in the current challenge... you know me, I can't pass up a good polka dot!

Actually dots or stripes are the current challenge. What the heck, I used them both! I went waaaay back to an oldie but a goodie from PTI for my dots. I used the Mat Stack 5 set to create a landing spot for my pretty little SSS sunflower. A simple sentiment by Pinkfresh and an embossed base (Lifestyle Crafts, I think) completed my CAS card.

Off she goes to the gallery. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wishing You Happiness

The Paper Players are celebrating their 700th challenge! That's quite a milestone, ladies. Congratulations!

I didn't want to let this pass by without them knowing how much I appreciate their card challenge. It's always been a go to for me. LeAnne has given us a sketch to work with this week. This is my take on it...

I had this Poppystamps butterfly already cut and thought it was a good substitute for the largest circle. The bottom layer was stamped with polka dots and the body colored with a Copic marker. I popped this onto a polka dot embossed panel, matted with black then, onto the card base. Little leafy stems by TSM were my choices for the other two circles in the sketch. A simple sentiment from on older PTI Mat Stack finished it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you're staying cool; we're back up to 90 for a few days... ugh!

Life is Beautiful

Good morning! Life is beautiful and it does get busy! I'm here this morning with a card that's headed right over to The Paper Players gallery before it closes then I'm back to the business!

I swapped out the squares in Joanna's sketch for a quartet of small Carta Bella wreaths. They're topped with a PTI peony bloom and a couple of Poppystamps butterflies. The sentiment and it's banner came from the same Carta Bella set. I picked the ME scalloped frame to mimic the look of the wreaths. Hubs thought it was pretty, I hope you do too!

Thanks for visiting, I love it when you do!

Love You

Hey there, I'm popping in again today with another card! This one is for The Paper Players challenge.

With the rainy day we're having, I thought a bright and happy rainbow was in order. The Poppystamps Hearts Shining Arch is a cute one! I Copic colored the paper added behind the cutouts, (made with the Rainbow Arch die), then framed it with the Double Scallop Frame. I picked the bright green from the rainbow as my card base color. A simple sentiment was all it needed. I'm thinking this is a Sweet P card, hence the blue heart, her favorite color!

Thanks for taking a peek, I appreciate it!

Happy Spring

Hello lovelies! I had a little playtime this afternoon and put together this little number for The Paper Players. LeAnne has given us a cute sketch to work with and this is what I came up with.

I already had one of those cute little PPP tags stamped and die cut, so I stamped a cut three more. All of the images are little rubber stamps by Impression Obsession and my sentiment, topped with the ME bow, is Paper Inspiration. More of that sparkly paper from my Sweet P is making an appearance in the form of a PTI tag. I popped it all onto an embossed card base. Layered but still simple!

I hope you've enjoyed your weekend. Ours was a quiet one and that's okay by me!

Showers of Blessings

I have a card for The Paper Players that fits right in with the chilly rainy Wednesday we're having. I can't really complain, the last two days have been a sunny 73!

This cutie little frog (Art Gone Wild) always makes a spring appearance. I surrounded him with some sweet little blooms by IO. I know clouds are white or gray, but this polka dot pair from PPP seemed like they needed to be aqua. Am I right? Embossed buds for the background and a sentiment tag (also PPP) finished things off.

EDIT* My friend Stephanie reminded me that this card fits in at Time Out so I'll be adding it to their gallery as well!

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with a new Just Us Girls challenge. Hope to see you then!

Happy Birthday to You

Tonight's card was created for three challenges! Kind of fun when that happens. A sketch, a color and a theme all combined into one card. Anne Marie, over at The Paper Players, provided me with a sketch and JoAnn at Seize the Birthday is looking for the color red. Those two played along quite well with the gals over at Double D Challenges who have asked us to use patterned paper. I just reorganized my 12x12 sheets by cutting them down to a more manageable size and packaging them by like colors. I knew just the reds I would pull and then I put the sketch to work.

Simple Stories papers, PTI's Pretty Peonies and a PF leafy die cut provided me with everything I needed. I started with an ivory base embossed with my fav polka dots then layered on all of the components following the sketch.

I really should use my patterned paper more often. I use to put it on just about every card I made! Goodness know I have enough of it! Thanks for popping in!

Our Friendship

Happy President's Day! I'm popping in this morning with a sweet little pair of bears for The Paper Players challenge. CAS and Forever Friends are Ann's required elements this week.

This one is pretty simple. The MFT set was stamped, die cut, Copic colored and attached to a card base that has a few stenciled clouds. And finally, a sprinkling of PPP tiny gold hearts to add to the playfulness. That idea came from a movie we re-watched this weekend. It Could Happen to You with Nicolas Cage and Bridget Fonda. At the end of the movie they release oodles of paper hearts from a hot air balloon!

Okay, off this one flies to the gallery.

I hope your week has gotten off to a good start!

Celebrating You

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day to you! I'm sharing a quick post today with my card for The Paper Players challenge. LeAnne picked a lovely color palette that I couldn't pass up! Take a look...

After a long wait of it being out of stock everywhere, I finally got my hands on the pretty Cosmos Backdrop plate and stencils by Spellbinders! My sweet friend Nancy (aka the enabler!!) let me know this could be hot foiled and that's just what I've done here. Once I foiled it with Pewter foil, I was good to go with the stenciling. The light and dark pinks look so pretty on the petals. Two shades of gray were used on the leaves and the darker gray on the sentiment. A sprinkling of sequins and she was good to go! I love the way this turned out!

Thanks for visiting with me today, I appreciate it and you! And thanks to you Darnell for the reminder about your NBUS blog!

Blessed

I'm still taking advantage of the "stay in because it's freezin' season" mindset, how about you? It was a good time to use a couple of new products from those holiday sales! This card will be heading to the gallery over at The Paper Players.

Take a look...

Anne Marie is hosting and has asked for cards with black, white plus a pop of bold color. Red popped into my mind! I picked up a 12x12 sheet of scrapbook paper at JoAnn last summer. It was covered in pretty little houses with leaves and flowers tucked behind them. I used it here with my new cover plate from Mama Elephant. Oh my goodness, I'll probably use it until you are all sick of seeing it! It's topped with a pretty MB Poppy die. I just realized I added the front petal upside down. I'll fix it before mailing! The leaves are from the Altenew Weekend Doodles set. Hope you like it!

Thanks so much for taking a peek. Have a blessed day.

Christmas at The Paper Players!

Hey there! Did you have a good weekend? Ours was very busy, but productive! This is a quick post with a card for The Paper PlayersThey have a Christmas theme challenge this week. Yeah... I have a few of those cards!

I'm kind of crushing on this card! I do love they way those pretty little polka dot poinsettias (WF) look with their sparkly centers! The tag and knit embossed panel are a few last bits from The 12 Kits of Occasions.

Thanks for visiting.

I'll be back soon with a fun Poppystamps card!
