It is a good idea to combine the previously released EPs of the London Quartet with two bonus tracks enriched on one CD, because albums generally attract more attention. And they deserve DIE CHEERLEADERs. The three ladies plus quota man on drums feel audibly at ease in their niche of indie rock, grunge and funk, because the twelve songs all come over fresh, are melodious, but not too catchy and lie in the limit between hardpop and dosed guitar power. The most important feature of the band is the polyphonic singing of the three front women. The fact that 'Filth By Association' is not a regular album is only heard in terms of nuances in the production quality, otherwise everything seems very homogeneous. With a slightly more powerful sound and still such high quality with the melody lines, DIE CHEERLEADER could have been bigger…
