Lilith Silver - Part 3 All Vampire

Finally we are together again with the final instalment of Lilith Silver – All Vampire. Thanks to all who have had the urge to download the previous two instalments (hope you enjoyed them). All Vampire is by far my favourite of the three, with a classic club feel to the different halves. The 80’s half is jam-packed with songs that would get the old skool dance floor moving back and forth in a synchronised two-step. Life is good when everything comes together. The second half is capable of making your feet tap along but is much more Rock than just straight ahead Gothic. There is a stark lack of drum-machine beats (if that’s your bag, look away) with the emphasis on bands that employed a drummer across both halves. I’d love to sit in this oversized oven for a while longer to take you step by step through the bands/songs but…well I’m not. Take it or leave it.

Lilith Silver – Part 2 Assassin

And, for Lilith Silver’s part 2 Assassin, we’re following the same rugged set up as before with disc 1 (or3) filled out with 80’s legends and disc 2 (or 4) with decades of legends (IMHO which is the only requirement). There is sterling representation from Bauhaus/Peter Murphy/Tones On Tail with a track from each, and a couple of bangers from ASF. To fill out we have some T’Sisters walking on the ceiling, T’Banshees are waiting for a sign to turn blood into wine, Play Dead are painting pretty pictures, look how they shine, T’Mish are getting all heated with whiskey and the devil and the witching hour, a serpents kiss on that untouched flower, Clan of Xymox know it makes no sense at all, in just one day and Rosetta Stone are asking can't you see the witch by my side?

Disc 2 is laced up tightly with a corset barely holding in the bulging contents from over-spilling onto the page. With two tracks from Austrian band Whispers In The Shadow and two tracks from Helsinki Goth Rockers 69 Eyes there’s a lot to cram in. Rhombus from Up North (in England), burst out and want to go anywhere, Children On Stun (March Violets wannabees) are celebrating something, while Hollow (drummachine goth) have found that it is the drowning season. Not to be outdone The Brotherhood Of Pagans are having a warshow, Reptyle (possibly Germans) think they know where I come from, and NFD have called time when the sun dies. Catastrophe Ballet realised that I’m consequently (inconsequential) and Front 242 have welcomed me to paradise. Crackin’!!

Lilith Silver – Part 1 Seductress

Something a bit different for this evening and the next two Saturday evenings as I bring you a set of six in-car discs that I created a couple or six years ago. Based around the Razorblade Smile character Lilith Silver the discs are dark, gothic but mainly they’re just a bit of fun. Nothing too serious here as three of the discs feature bands predominantly from the 80’s and three of the discs feature bands from the 90’s and 00’s and 10’s (but even then, there might be 80’s as well). Each part gives you two discs in one folder so as you might have already guessed, this is Part 1 Seductress. Some of the bands included on Disc 1; FotN, 1919, Killing Joke, Sex Gang Children. On Disc 2; She Wants Revenge, Dead Guitars, Grooving In Green, Adoration, The Eden House. Like I said, nothing too serious.
