BUZZ WORKSHOP - Creeps Taking Dope

From 4/13/1996. The first 3 songs have Mike Smith on drums ,as well as Ed,and Joel.Mike then left and Mike "McSchwuggles" Mezaros ,and Tall Ray showed up to finish off the next 5 songs,with Ed and Joel. I recommend this release to everyone who loves rockin' songs ,I don't think there's one bad or filler track on this whole thing! Really,really,good stuff,please download it,listen to it,and come back and tell me what you think.I can't even think of a band to compare them to,they're that good!A melange of musical genres.Live at Club 5455. Ed,Joel Rizzo,Tall Ray,and Mike Smith,on 4/28/1996,live at Club 5455,in Crime Manor.A lot of good was done on this day.A great recording,and a Zappa cover of,"Dumb All Over". "Buick MacKane",by T.Rex ,is also covered."Opening Number",is the eleventh song on this thing,and it would be a fine song to open a set with.Lots more great stuff,I could go on all nite about how great these guys are,although ,they are hardly ever downloaded.You people don't know what you're missing,I'll tell you what!

THE KILLER KONA BUDS - Smokin'

A local Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg band,from 1996.Some originals,but mainly spoofs of:AC/DC's "Back In Black",done here as if O.J. Simpson was singing,"O.J.'s Back",Ted Nugent's,"Cat Scratch Fever",heard here as,"Scratch That Beaver",The Presidents Of America's,"Lump",which becomes,"Plump",in these guys hands,and my fave,Black Sabbath's,"War Pigs",spoofed as,"Bar-b-q-Pigs",all about that backyard grillin' cook-out!After the last track,there are a few hidden tracks,one a little skit,the other a cover of "The Hokey Pokey".Real dumb,almost tard-metal,probably a bored bar band,making up new lyrics to songs they've played for years!Despite the cover art,these fellas sound nothing at all like Insane Clown Posse.

The Shotdowns were a band that Ben Weasel claimed to have discovered in the backwoods of Maine. In fact, the group was a one-off project with Ben and Jughead of Screeching Weasel, along with Chicago Sun-Times music critic Jim DeRogatis, all playing under aliases. They released one 7" on Lookout! Records in 1996.Good,ol' timey,slam dancin',hardcore,punk rock!

Halloween themed cover,and there are songs titled,"Zombie Slut",and, "Land Of The Lost",and it was recorded 8/10/96,probably for release in October of 96,and since Santa is on the back cover,(aping Sluggisha Cat's eyes),probably thru the holiday season of 1996.Sexboy opened for these guys at one of the last shows ever at Samskull's Offbeat Records.A fine example of punk/ska,by guys you probably don't know.Really cool guys. KILLERSVILLE-120 minutes with....

this is me,mike,and dug,thoroughly thrashing on mtv's 120 minutes,hosted by matt pinfield,on 9/2/96.some of the worst music is heard in the backround,and we had to see the videos that go along with that crappy music.we review each entry,rag on them till they change to the next video victim.a real comedy act,i did this sort of thing in my magazine rodent cake a few times,but this is audio,you are there!really funny and fun,not a full 120 minutes(well it actually is ,compressed)cuz the tape was recorded slower,so on playback,we sound like helium fiends.making it even funnier!everyone should get toasted tonite,and put this on,crank it up,and throw in your own comments,i'm sure you will!
