This episode is the midnite show from July 9th of 1994. G O D is joined by guest d.j. J A H ,of W.T.H.C. radio ,and there are liners and drops by oldie station d.j. extrordinaire ,Doug Shannon ,at every twist and turn of this fine show.Food Fortunata even lends his talents with a couple of between song messages himself! Hey,I found this tape,in a box load of unlabled tapes,and I probably recorded it off the radio in the early 80's. I don't think you'll find this anywhere else! I kept the recording intact ,as one track ,which runs almost a half-hour. It sounds like the ,"Eat To The Beat" tour,and they do some songs you may not have heard before. I also included a file of early demos ,and a slideshow of 100 of my favorite images of Debbie Harry! Some nude shots from different eras,and a bunch of sexy photos. The pic I used above,is nowhere on the web,until now. It came from an old ,"KISS" ,fan magazine ,Peter Criss is on the back of Debbie! It's my favorite photo of her ,I've had it since the late 70's! Just the epitome of a punk girl! Well,enjoy this boot,and the pics!

WGOD #13 -GODCAST 6/2/1992

One of the earliest,(from when I began numbering the tapes,there were a ton of unnumbered volumes scattered round our town and the world!), WGOD radio tapes I could find in the vault( there may be earlier ones,I think I saw #6 down there!),I used to make these as mix tapes for friends,and I gave away a ton of them,and never made copies of them,so if you have one,it's the only one of it's kind.Don't get the wrong idea about the call letters,I have nothing to do with church,christ,religion,or any of that shit,I chose the name GOD because I play the best tunes,the "god"head of music!(and also so the people of the world would no longer have to worship "false" gods!) On here I play classic punk stuff as well as what was then current alternative and punk music,wih some dub and rap mixed in.Always a surprise,this is before I got my M.C. , Doug Shannon,who worked as a d.j. at the local oldies station,and made tapes of liners and drops ,for use between songs I played on the air.No track list,but I will tell you what's playing,if you listen!Tell me you love it,and I'll post more! I've got tons of 'em!

CAT MACHINE - Teen-age Pez-head Punk Rock Spies

One of the most cohesive studio efforts,by the most under-rated,undiscovered,underground,outsider ,cult-bands of all time.Recorded on 4/2/1991,with Ed,Tony,Joel,and Chipmonk,this one has the hits!!Their 39th release ,features the college rock radio hit ,"When The Ape Man Smiles", which ,thru Chipmonk's contacts,managed to garner an audience,when it was played on several college campus radio stations,across the nation,most notably in Wisconsin.Other great compositions here ,include ,"All In The Family" , "Alcoholic Funk" ,and "Backstab" ,all sung by Joel. Chipmonk vocalizes on ,"Lunchbox Sabotage",and "Fly High Flyers" ,while Ed yells on ,"Spontaneously Combusting" , "My Mom's A Facist" and "The Things To Come.And Tony ,besides singing lead on "Ape Man" also kicks in with his crooning on "Gettin' Bent (Big Dead Ass).This is seriously really good! If you haven't heard anything from this year-long series yet ,I would suggest you might start here.This really shows their true talent of getting wasted,and banging out world class punk songs! The title was later appropriated by Sexboy ,for a song title .

SOCKEYE -Saint Retard

I didn't have enough time to announce,that this morning, about 1:30 A.M.,est,Food Fortunata was interviewed on WCSB radio ,a Cleveland,OH ,college station.I was able to join in the conversations,and plug this here blog,and talk about the WC 500 comp.(posted just below this!),and the guy from Sludgesicle Records was on the line ,too!As well as a few other insiders.I only stuck around for about an hour or so,I don't know what happened when I left,but it was on the Dri core show,and I'm hoping to get a copy of it ,so you all can hear it ,as well! Sockeye (and other Wheelchair Full Of Old Men artists) , had their music played,and discussed the label,and it's 500th release,and Sockeye ,at length.A good time was had by all,I was up for 21 hours by the time I dropped off the phoneline. Anyway,to celebrate this memorable occasion,I give you this,rejected tracks from two sessions,recorded for the Retards Hiss Past My Windows album.Some classic hits,albeit,re-done versions,and some tunes you may have not heard ,as of yet!There are covers of GKH, The Poops,and ZZ Top.Great stuff ,as per usual.

this is an all sockeye edition of w.g.o.d.,and features totally rare radio spots that food fortunata,singer of sockeye,made for w.g.o.d. exclusively.you've never heard them if you're not a fan of w.g.o.d.,that's the only place they've ever been played.broke up this godcast into several sections so as to add the announcements by food in to the equation.mostly early singles are played,nothing new,if you are into sockeye,except the earlier mentioned ads for w.g.o.d. bt food himself.this should be a wheelchair approved compilation!has some kindergarten terror at the end,as a palate cleanser.
