BLACK NERD - Acoustic Backyard Jam

This is exactly what the title implies. Chipmonk was sadly missing from this tape. Billy and Shane ,play guitars ,Sean Burch/Monson plays bongos ,and some guitar and vocals. Recorded live on 4/5/1992 in Sean's backyard.Definitely cult , and there was a fanzine (the cover of which is reproduced above!) ,of unknown origin , that was printed in a ltd. edition of 13 copies(!), dedicated to this band ,posted  over at my other blog  . There is also a great live at the Draft House recording ,located elsewhere on this blog. This must have been fun for the participants ,as it is fun to listen to. Do an eight-niner ,and sink into this atmospheric set of tunes.

CARBON 14 MAGAZINE -CWF PRESENTS

Carbon 14 Wrestling Federation,with some great garage bands.Free with their zine,my fave cut is the cover of The Zeros ,"Wimp" ,by The Nomads.The Mono Men,and the SCOTS tracks rock my world as well,buy I could do without the weak Friggs cut.Oh well,to each ,his own.

KING KONG -#4 Zine and 7' comp.

This great thing is from Sweden,and the 7" features all Swedish bands. Entombed covers The Stiff Little Fingers,Doll Squad covers Venom,and Teddy Bears cover The Runaways.The zine has interviews with each band,and a cool comic,plus more.The songs are not available elsewhere,so you never heard 'em.

DISHWASHER-Music to Wash Dishes By -Vol.1

So this guy,Pete,decided one day,to try and wash dishes in every state,in the U.S.A.,and started a zine called,"Dishwasher",one of which is included in this comp.As you can see by the cover,you know what bands are here,all doing songs that are unavailable elsewhere,and all have to do with being a dishwasher,and working in a restaurant.The Scared Of Chaka track ,"Dish Militia"does it for me.And the songs are held together with audio clips from the film,"Mr.Dish Machine Operator",which is stupid funny.Check out Pete's zine in the zip,oh yeah Ten-Four does,"Pete's Theme".I washed dishes at The Clock Restaurant,North Ft Myers,when I was 15.I can relate. On 702 Records,Reno,NV.
