A TRIBUTE TO JOHNNY THUNDERS

4 bands,M99,Mule,Napalm Beach,and Rancid Vat ,all turn in decent performances on this double ,blue and pink vinyl ,7 inch.As an extra added bonus ,Whoreshack,The Jackie Earle Haleys,and One Fell Swoop ,3 Sluggisha bands,also do Johnny proud.His solo work,as well as The New York Dolls,and The Heartbreakers,are all covered to the best of the band's abilities.Been wanting to put this up for a while,got it from Samskull at the great Offbeat record store,he once owned,now sadly closed,this 7" was in the glass case at the counter,don't know why,but I asked to see it,and promptly shelled out some clams.

Halloween themed cover,and there are songs titled,"Zombie Slut",and, "Land Of The Lost",and it was recorded 8/10/96,probably for release in October of 96,and since Santa is on the back cover,(aping Sluggisha Cat's eyes),probably thru the holiday season of 1996.Sexboy opened for these guys at one of the last shows ever at Samskull's Offbeat Records.A fine example of punk/ska,by guys you probably don't know.Really cool guys. SEXBOY-live wire (motley crue)

the last song from our final show,this time at samskull's offbeat records on the patio deleon,opening for nil8.we usually ended with this song as a joke,but i think we all generally liked the crue.i screw up the ending badly,which is weird,cuz we played it a buncha times,oh well!

the last show sexboy played(2/20/1997),we opened for this illinois powerhouse.the gig was at samskull's offbeat records shop,and ralph tarantino filmed the show.just fun, ska/punk/rock/funk,it will raise your spirits!best tracks for me are,"land of the lost","basement show"(which is the video below),"old macdonald's straight-edge dilemma",and"the insanity of drayton sawyer and his hallucination of love brought on by the texas chainsaw massacre part II"(how's that for a mouthful!?) it's all pretty good,better live tho'.i also have a single by them that i will post at a later time.for now enjoy this and the video(i have the whole show!)
