HORRORDACTYL - Destroying Music

Another compilation of Horrordactyl ,the U.K. sensation ,this time doing all his own material ,and including a brand new ,recently recorded number ,"Samhain 2011". There is also Annie ,who may or may not be the spawn of Justin(Horrordactyl) ,singing on one track ,and playing drums on another track. There's tons more of this stuff ,with no end in sight ,as of yet. A melange of industrial,pop,noise,metal,punk,weirdness ,that really can't compare to any other band.I'll be posting lots more of Justin's bands ,including the one above this post ,Chihuahua Zycantah ! He will also be sending in some tracks for the upcoming Cat Machine tribute disc ,and Sluggisha's Xmastravaganza III ,can't hardly wait to hear those ones! His Butthole Surfers covers comp (on this blog!) got over 100 downloads so far ,and his 3 part "Plays Everybody's Songs" covers comp. got over 30 downloads apiece! AVON CALLING - The Bristol Compilation

Noteworthy for being the first release on Heartbeat Records,back in 1979,this album is full of quirky,poppy ,strangeness ,as well as straight forward punk and oi music.Very post-punk stuff which has aged well.Sounds fresh today,and it grows on you.There is something in the water in Bristol,cuz all these groups have a unique,yet unified sound. Bonus:great inserts of upcoming releases!

SCARS -Your Attention Please (Flexi-Disc,live spring 1980)

A rare flexi-disc from i-D magazine,a London fashion publication,from 1980.This version is live,and a studio version later appeared on their one and only album,"Author,Author!".Based on a Peter Porter poem,it addresses nuclear war.A self-proclaimed "literary art-punk" band ,Mark Smith of the Fall,once named them as his favorite group,"because they are the exact opposite of the Fall".A relic to be treasured.

GALAXY HEADHUNTERS COMP.

Following on the heels of the last post ,here's a compilation sent to me by Sanity Assassins,probably because they and other Conneticut bands are on here as well as bands from,California,Pennsylvania,Indiana,Massachussetts,Virginia,and even Germany and the U.K. Overall good comp,a Ramones cover,some death metal style,some rap?,some hardcore,and that spooky CT.vibe.I bet all the bands there have that creepy sound.The bands are:Sanity Assassins,Jack Tragic and the Unfortunates,Epidemic,F-Defective,Things Change,The Guilt,Dryrot,Couch Potatoes,Poseidon,Malicious Wings,Deslok,Monsterland,and Dead Gods.Someone should write reviews of all my posts,I'm kinda jaded.Get this now,tell your friends.
