From issue # 16 ,2004 ,of Explicitly Intense Magazine.Formerly located in Pasadena ,CA,the staff made the move to the former Death Metal capitol of the world,Tampa.Publisher/Editor In Chief,Sarjoo Devani,also employs some of his family members,and a stable of free-lance journalists,and photographers. SHEEP SQUEEZE/THE FUMES split 7"

more sheep squeeze,this time paired with the fumes,also of california,on recess records.these are my favorite sheep squeeze tunes,"steve's song","suck my ass",and "buddy lembeck",about charles in charge's,scott baio's little pal,willy aames.the fumes are a bit more serious in their subject matter,and are not as interesting(at least to these ears)as sheep squeeze.nice booklet scans and lyrics in zip.this is good!

these guys are from california.pretty hardcore punk rock,tough guy vocals,hard edged thrashy tinged tunes.they did put out at least 1 seven inch,which i will post when i find a new needle(no needle has been hampering my progress on the vinyl front)anyway,good stuff here from the west coast.the live stuff is at the Spirit,if that means anything to you!

Following on the heels of the last post ,here's a compilation sent to me by Sanity Assassins,probably because they and other Conneticut bands are on here as well as bands from,California,Pennsylvania,Indiana,Massachussetts,Virginia,and even Germany and the U.K. Overall good comp,a Ramones cover,some death metal style,some rap?,some hardcore,and that spooky CT.vibe.I bet all the bands there have that creepy sound.The bands are:Sanity Assassins,Jack Tragic and the Unfortunates,Epidemic,F-Defective,Things Change,The Guilt,Dryrot,Couch Potatoes,Poseidon,Malicious Wings,Deslok,Monsterland,and Dead Gods.Someone should write reviews of all my posts,I'm kinda jaded.Get this now,tell your friends.

TRAUMA ROOM -musca domestica musica

for the next several posts,i'll be covering bands on the sluggisha label,mostly out of state,not immediate sluggisha family,yet all distributed by sluggisha.this is trauma room,my tape is numbered 22/24, so not many copies of this rarity!talk about noise,this is power electronics industrial to the max!very noisy but in a subdued matter,incomparable to most normal music ,but the sounds should be familiar to those of you into the power electronics scene.i believe wheelchair full of old men records and tapes also carries a release by this trio.hailing from california,and sounding like sheer horror(not sheer terror,sorry!),this is a group that will probably never be heard on the top 40(maybe in 3000 a.d.!).still an impressive impression is made by this,check it out,you've never heard nothing like this,i don't think,anyway.CLICK HERE:http://www.mediafire.com/file/ohijmztqjt2/TRAUMA ROOM.zip
