An unreleased album recorded in 2011,and finally released to this blog.The art ,and the music were collecting dust for over a year,awaiting release on another label,which fell thru ,so here you have it!Also the hard copy is included if you order the Yobel Weenel/Bloodponies split (see below) A great set of instrumentals ,bass,guitar,keys,drums ,made by a 48 ,14,and 11 year old. Truly unclassifiable ,except to say,Zombie rock!This trio is slated to play St.Pete Noisefest 6 ,next year sometime.Let's hope that happens ,for the good of all noise-kind.This is like their 5th or 6th release,I think. YOBEL WEENEL/BLOODPONIES -split cdr

Yet another rare split band/split label release ,available as listed below ,at the Sluggisha webstore as well as thru the Lady Anthropophagus imprint.. Dylan takes some old,unreleased Bloodponies tracks ,and brings it on! Yobel Weenel have never sounded better ,the samples are otherworldly ,a zombie band to watch in the future.This is music that has not been currently classified,and is not able to be labelled,at least not with words that we have on earth. Yobel Weenel also has a track from the same sessions this split is from,coming out on a compilation,soon!Congrats to Derek ,from Linda Blare Project ,on being the first to buy this fine release,and to Fuck Ramone on getting a copy in trade from Dylan! Dylan cranks out another disc ,this one sounding much like a melange of Syd Barrett , Kraftwerk ,Chrome ,and other experimentally minded artists. The best thing about Bloodponies ,is you never know what you're gonna get ,from tape to tape ,even track to track! It's ever-changing ,no category can be named for this stuff! Prolific ,as always ,Dylan knows the deal!

BLOODPONIES - Universal Nerve Thing

3 wandering minstrel-like tracks ,that once again are culled from the same well as early David Jones (later name-change to Bowie ,as to distinguish himself from the singer of the then popular Monkees!) .Kinda sounds as if these tracks were recorded in the atmosphere shown in the cover art. Floating above the Earth in a tin can ,singing and playing away ,like there's no tomorrow (and maybe there's not!). Bitchin' stuff from a prolific artist ,man this guy gets around!

WISTELING SAILSMEN

This is an early band from Dylan Houser ,of Hell Garbage ,Gainmas ,Bloodponies ,and other projects. Dylan ,with his pal ,Ty, make some of the best slackerpunk to ever have come out of the shithole known as New Port Richey ,Florida.Just some good 'ol kids makin' punk music ,like back in the old days.Very easy to listen to ,but it's not easy listening! There is an acapella version of the doo-wop chestnut ,"Blue Moon" ,sung by Ty ,and just generally goofy and great tunes . Recorded between 2004-2006 on Lady Anthropophagus Unincorporated. Art by Ty.

NORSE SHIT BAND - Demo #1

A demo of Katter's one-girl-shitcore-band ,Norse Shit Band. Recorded 10/29/2011(in the car during SPNF4!!!) ,and released in a ltd. edition of 15 (!!). Her boyfriend ,Dylan ,he of the bands Hell Garbage ,Bloodponies,Gainmas ,and more ,has obviously rubbed off on her ! This is shit core with flutes and cellophane! Sounds like someone squeezing the Charmin while grunting/groaning on a whistle/flute, and beating on stuff with a stick! Really cool to hear a female in the shitcore genre.Maybe this will inspire more young ladies to do the same! Can't wait to hear more than just this one 2 minute and 25 second track ,it's a real tease ,making you long to hear more! Aaaarrrrggghhh!!!

BLOODPONIES - Whores

One of my favorite releases from Dylan ,yet! A bunch of experimental sounds ,tied together with actual songs ,and no track list ,as it all blends into one long ,continuous track! Reminds me of one of my own solo outings ,Salem Curbing (download those 2 tapes ,somewhwere on this blog ,as mindblowing as this Bloodponies stuff!). An acapella rendering of Harry Belafonte's ,"Day-O"(The Bannana Boat Song) ,is made even better ,with some extra added noise/sounds ,to rev it up a bit!Broke up into sides A and B ,side B ends with the strains of Neil Young's warbly vocalizing. Great stuff from start to finish,I'll be listening to this for the next week or so!

M.C. OSSO - Umbra Penumbra

This rarity has been asking to be uploaded forever! Look it up on the web ,you won't find any info on this record or M.C. Osso ,anywhere! Great revved-up (sometimes) ,and mellowed-out blues songs ,with a folky bent on some tracks. There is some harmonica and bongos here,and M.C. is backed up by Tio Frijol & The Soul Casserole (Tierra Del Fuego's finest!) ,and you'll also hear some flute,sax,piano ,and organ in addition to Mr. Osso's fine guitar jams!From 1974 ,recorded in New York ,on Axe Records(a division of Hardedge ,Inc.) ,and with that record company name and logo(see lower corner of album cover) ,you'd be expecting some metal or in my case some Mentors!But ,alas ,it is not to be ,this is just some jukin' blues that everyone should hear.The really downtrodden stuff comes on tracks like ,"Chances For Survival" ,and "Executioners". There's even a song that should have been featured on a movie soundtrack from recent times ,"Superbad Blues" ! I could definitely see (and hear) Dylan Houser ,settling into this sound as he grows older with his Bloodponies project.Pretty neat-o stuff ,and rare ,apparently!

HELL GARBAGE - Dishnivacht

More shit-core noise from Dylan ,(also of the pensive acoustic Bloodponies), this time joined by Katter ,on percussion and some keys. Recorded 8/7 - 8/9 /2011 ,and boasting "thousands of trax!no titles!yay!". Their slogan is "Fuck Music!!!" ,but I don't know if it means music you have sex to ,or the actual middle-finger salute in the face of music itself! All the songs are rolled up into one 41 and-a-half minute track.Thinking man's music ,clears the mind ,and opens it again. In the words of the immortal Danny Bays ,"Real Men Listen To Cassettes!" Released on Dylan's own Lady Anthropophagus Unincoporated imprint.

BLOODPONIES - Mayflower

The first self-released Bloodponies tape ,on his own Gainmas Industries label ,recorded on Earth Day 2008 ,Dylan is in his wandering minsterel/traveling troubador mode ,throughout. The tales he spins ,set to his own acoustic guitar's magical tones ,will draw you in to his world."The Merry Gallows" ,one of my faves here ,is reminiscent of a young David Jones (a/k/a Bowie) ,with fey english accent ,and vivid imagery in the lyrics ,as with all the lyrics in these tunes.Great drinkin' music ,mellow and violent all at once!

Dylan made this tape in his car ,during breaks from work. It is a hilarious romp thru the interior of his vehicle ,with empty soda bottles,a cup of ice ,car seat,and angry vocalizations. My new pal ,Dylan Houser ,did this neat-o little 3-inch ,mini-disc of cool acoustic-pop. Reminds me of a conglomeration of early Bowie acoustic sides/Sebadoh/Syd Barrett/Faine Jade/Billy Bragg/Robyn Hitchcock ,and more! Really good stuff, I will be posting more from Dylan. I met him at The St. Pete Noisefest ,last weekend ,after he had already sent in a Cat Machine cover,(he does,"Trying To Shit An Old Turd" ,as another of his bands ,Hell Garbage(see post above this!)) for the tribute.
