But this year is bittersweet as Ed J,the blogmaster here and the CEO of Sluggisha Tapes and Mediachrist,and the guy who brings this awesome xmas music compilation to you year after year,needs lifesaving surgery ,which he will be going in for on Dec 4th 2024. BOOB SAUSAGE - self-titled debut

On Saturday,the 28th of April,2013 ,The Man,The Guy,Chico,& The Boob ,grabbed up the guitar, bass,drum kit,keyboards,and microphone,and recorded this set of 8 mind-blowing,unclassifiable songs.There are 4 songs with vocals and 4 instrumentals with keyboards in place of vocals (each member had a turn at the mic and keys,as well as guitar,bass,and drum set!) In a league all their own,(unless you count The Germs (Germicide-era),Flipper,and the Shaggs) ,in league with Satan (huh huh ..Venom) , this is weird. Dylan Houser did the front cover art and logo ,Eric did the back cover art,graphics by The Man ,and the songs were titled by The Guy.There's even a video for,"Pizza Villian" (an instrumental) on youtube! If you check the sluggisha page at archive.org ,you may stumble upon the original mixdown of this album.There are alternate mixes,samples,and artwork.If you are interested in purchasing a hard copy cdr of this,please contact me in the comments box below. ONE FELL SWOOP - First Gig Practice Tape

This is a re-post of the practice for the first One Fell Swoop gig!(originally posted May 7,2010).
Recorded live, 1/23/1992,(20 years ago ,today!), at Gramps,the Cat Machine house,and the typewriter case,pizza pan drum rim,hammer and pliers drumset is in full-effect.The first half is originals,the second half we cover: the Flamin' Groovies(twice), the Fall, Hendrix(2 hits), and Kiss. The between song banter is good for a few guffaws,and we were still re-learning these songs,picked from several sessions. Good for what it is. The song," I Need Cash",swipes a Kike riff! The first gig led to a residency as the "house" band of the Draft House, (for a few months), we actually cracked downtown wide open ,bringing in opening acts ,and making a place for kids to hang out ,and see and hear local and out-of-area bands. Before that ,there wasn't really any venues for punk/alternative bands to play. Art by Eric J. This has been posted for nearly 2 years ,and only 10 downloads? from 3/31/96,live at 5455,this is me,joel,and tall ray,makin the music you've come to love.mike smith showed up and left before we recorded,as he was ill.we had dubbed him"crackers"on this day,i think he may have been munching saltines when he arrived,so we named this session after him.jonathan richman and the modern lovers are covered here,with "roadrunner",a trip thru ft. myers,by car!also a great blues/rock rave-up,"sweet black hoggy",and a bunch of other cool tunes.listen to this now!it's good! art by eric and me.

this is eddie and eric(my kids)11 and 9,their cousins,scott and josh,12 and 8,i helped out,and granma jane sings on the last song.the drum machine beats,overrule a few tracks,but it's mostly good time fun!noisy,incompetent songs,some very funny moments,and just wacky goofing-off.band name is used to taunt and tease the youngest cousin,4,who loves buzz light year.this is in no way affiliated with buzz workshop,besides being on this blog.more than likely this is not the last you'll hear from this up-and-coming band of wild kids!

BUTT TOOTH-cheddar cheese steak

this is the world debut of the omnipresent,"butt tooth".a/k/a/ buTTTooth.it's m.c.jed,m.c.jug,m.c.raj,and iggy.lots of really terrible raps,tardcore and funny.but this is not limited to rap alone.choice covers of,maroon 5(ugh,horrible),public enemy(the skinhead band,not the rap group),a few cat machine re-makes,and a loungy version of a g.g allin tune,ripped straight from the pages of the sacktap style book.also includes some old stuff done with a mr. memory pedal,short little blips of song that pass by like a breeze,specifically the first 8 tracks or so,as well as more short ditties sprinkled here and there.there's much more of this old school rap band to come,try this on for size first.also has a clash cover,a van halen sample gone berserk,a reading of part of the story of o,and more silliness than you'll ever care to hear.this is good!art by my boy eric!

just recorded tonite,this is hot out of the studio!all new tardcore from me ,eddie and eric,my boys.we used bass,keys,drum machine,sega samples,tape samples,scratching machine,and a harmonica.the name of the band ,the album title,and all the song titles(to you) are made-up nonsense words,that don't exist in your vocabulary.this is the new language,no talking,just mass media relaying info,with a snazzy beat.we'll see how this project pans out as time goes on.collage by the boys.some samples include,rollins on iron man,angela bowie,preacher talking of satanic cartoons like ghostbusters,he-man and the masters of the universe,and tmnt,the hulk(sega),and more.enjoy this,we'll make more!

FORGIVE US FATHER,FOR WE KNOW NOT WHAT WE DO -Compilation

A compilation of solo artists,years in the making,an experiment of mine,wherein I got people who had no prior knowledge of how to play an instrument or sing,into the studio,hooked them up,and let them go.I produced this thing,but the folks on here did everything else themselves.The ratio is 60/40,in favor of adults,but the kids on here rule!My kids are here,and kids of friends.Ralph Tarantino,and Doug Shannon both clocked in for a track each,and Mr.Lee is here too!I only wish I had recorded these 2 brothers I met,who,though both deaf,could feel the vibrations from the amps as they jammed guitars,that was something I'll never forget,and wish everyone could have heard.but here it is ,all non-musicians making music.Leave comments you fucks!Thanks!

SACKTAP

some of the stupidest stuff ever commited to tape,by one of the most tardcore bands of all time,SACKTAP.collects pieces from 1978-2009,of all sorts.kinda retaining or always returning to a jazz/lounge based sound,but lots of other styles abound such as,noisy industrial,acoustic,lots of keyboardy numbers,poetry,remakes of classic 80's t.v. ads,long-winded instrumentals,audio verite,a spoof of an old time radio show in a few episodes,the most retarded motorhead cover ever,hip-hop rap,just about anything you could think of.experiments gone wrong is the key mode of operation here.if you are into the worst music you can find,annoying people with said music,or if you enjoy any tardcore,you will like this.makes sockeye and their gang look like led zeppelin in comparison.don't listen to any other band called,SACKTAP.they're all fakes,also has nothing to do with spinal tap,even though they rule!an ongoing project that will likely end when i die.there is a full cannon of this band in the wings,just waiting to unload on the stupid world we live in,and when it does,whooo boy!,be prepared for the stupidity,that of the like which you have never seen.art by eric,age 8.

METAL WARRIORS

this is my kids' new band,which they've already abandoned for something new, just like their old man.recorded one year to the day from the wax warriors,this picks up where they last left off.eric poops out half way thru to play the sims,so it's eddie's show from there on out.has some genuinely great moments,and just the idea of a 7 and 10 year old playing music,is really cool.as an added bonus the last track,over 17 minutes long,is eddie commenting on society and the radio and other things,skits and spoofs.young laddie fancies himself a comedian.go get the wax warriors too(elsewhere on this blog),if this is to your liking,and please leave comments in the comment boxes for my kids,they ask every day how many people commented or downloaded their stuff.i'm teaching them barre chords now so they should be writing some quality tunes next time around.top art by eric bottom half by eddie.G O D.http://www.mediafire.com/file/mhjonky0jm4/METAL WARRIORS.zip

WAX WARRIORS

this is my kid's first actual band with songs that have somewhat of a structure.eddie and eric,9 and 6 at the time of this tape(3/13/08),have been around and playing instruments since they were babies,and me being their dad,you know they're gonna be punk rockin' little hellions.for me the best stuff is the acapella numbers at the second half of this recording.eric does a version of al yankovic's "trapped in the drive thru",that is funny as all get out,over 10 minutes long.they just made a new tape,exactly one year after the date of this one,and changed their name to "METAL WARRIORS",and they sound more metal now,especially eddie on guitar.well if you likes this i'll put up the new soon!give my kids comments,people,and take it easy,they're just kids.p.s. artwork by eddie(bottom)and eric(top)(photo and hair by big daddy)http://www.mediafire.com/file/5eqnmmmyy3z/WAX WARRIORS.zip
