THIS AND THAT

Well....thanks for the love y'all.  I don't plan on quitting....unless I get so old there are like 3 people left reading haha.  Seriously though I really do still enjoy it!

Today....just a little this and that!

Update on my knee.  It's been 2 weeks and it's getting better which I am so relieved about.  I walked with my neighbor last night a couple of miles and it was good.  It still hurts a little going down and up stairs.

I have also been busy cleaning out and giving my office a small makeover.  Whew......so much stuff accumulated.

Last weekend I went over to Sudi's with my friend Rose [she is helping to decorate her new condo].
It's looking really good!

She had this chair recovered and I adore the shape and the boucle fabric!

And Rose's husband installed this bedroom light for her....Circa Lighting

We lifted the bed and between all of us managed to lay down her rug!

The bedroom is coming along and will be beautiful!

I finally went to the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Holiday Showhouse before it closed.

This porch was all black and white goodness!

What about all of this ceiling detail?

New artist alert!  Caleb Mahoney which can be found in Atlanta at Greg Irby Gallery

This room by Courtney Giles was a fav.  Blue and camel are 2 of my favorite colors to use together!

Layer up people!

I posted these on Instagram but they are a few of my favorite lamps that I see occasionally at Homegoods.

And I bought this selection of wrapping paper for the farm!

I had this whole fashion post started but I didn't finish it so I am going to share the crux of it with you:)

I am sure you have noticed that white boots are trending!  I put together some for you to check out!

Clockwise....

I got mine over Thanksgiving from Nordstroms [All Saints] where they were 30% off and I had a gift certificate to use.  I would not normally spend this much:)

But....I do like how they look!
Thoughts?

Here are a few other looks lately from my #OOTD on Instagram stories!

Guess what!  One of my favorite designers Eileen Fisher sent me some clothes [after seeing me wear so many of them]!  I about died because I love her classic looks! In the first picture...the sweater [can't find on the website anymore] and scarf!  The above coat which is amazing!

Again with the scarf and the gray "high low" sweater.

The small crossbody black bag!

Can you even?  I have bought her things over the years but always on sale!  I gotta tell you though I still wear them today!

So that's it people!

16 days until Christmas....I am trying to get in the spirit....it's a bit of a struggle for me.....

THIS AND THAT

OK.....not sure what happened but this last week just flew by....I mean it took me forever to take down my Christmas decor.....the mantel and some greenery.  Whew.....I am still recovering:)

We are spending our 11th year down at the beach and it's rainy a foggy....but very warm.  Also binge watching Making a Murdered on Netflix!

Filmed over 10 years....this series will make you question our justice system so hard.

The week before Christmas was kind of busy....

I was picking out slabs for a renovation...

We looked and looked and finally settled on Calacatta Gold....The floors in this kitchen are going to be a gray limestone which I am excited about.

I delivered this piece of art by Erin McIntosh which I purchased at Greg Irby Gallery

I am loving how this dining room is coming together....

Gonna do a couple of pillows out of this great  Duralee fabric from Tilton Fenwick.

I am still so excited about the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles project....

I love this desk that we found at Scott's....and pairing it with the Ghost Chair.  The lamp belonged to the homeowner and had been used in their previous home.

The architecture of this home is really unbelievable.  If you want to read more details about this project just search "Michael Ladisic" in the sidebar of my blog.

My girl Cami has been with us just about 7 months now and she is the best :)

I am so in love with her......

I am ready for all of the post on organizing right?

On Christmas Day I cleaned out my closet.  Not a "blogger" type organize where I paint....wallpaper the ceiling....get a spectacular light fixture and stage the hell out of it.  Oh no....just your basic old fashion organization where I had about 50 hangers left over so I did discard some things.

It felt good.

Happy New Year.

DESIGN PLAN

You know how when you are on vacation there is every intention of blogging, reading that book and looking through the 10 or so magazines you brought with you.....

All good plans.  Somehow I get rebellious and think "hey....it's all about me this week" and dump those activities.  Of course in reality I am down here looking at what a poophole this place is after a busy rental season.  Sigh......

Blah blah blah.....anyway before I left I was working on a bedroom for a neighbor.  She wanted to lighten up the space and pull it together.

We started with moving a rug that she had in the DR into the MBR.

It's from Safavieh

Here are some of the fabrics I gathered....

Most of those have changed but you can see how pretty that wallpaper is.

The rug is gray but reads just a little lavenderish.  Thankful that it was a 9 x 12 which is the perfect size for a king bed.

Here is the bed she ordered.
I like it because the foot board was short so it didn't take up any visual space.

I picked out the faux bois wallpaper from Schumacher.  It has a vertical feel which helps with the 8 ft ceilings.

This made her a little nervous.....I wanted to do the whole room but we decided on just the wall the bed was on.

Since she already had one mirrored chest I found this one which was a little smaller but looked great with the existing.
That got ordered also.

That is as far as we have gotten so now it is time to go the distance and pull this baby together.

Since there is only one window in the room I suggested  putting mirrors over the chest.  I found the ones above on Wisteria but I also liked this one I saw at the mart in July.

I love the shape and the engraving.

Here are the lamps I found on Wayfair.

The bench is from Ballard Designs.  It is going into a nook with the TV hung above it.  You know....a place to throw your clothes:)

The fabric is Claire Gray.

OK...the best part is the art from Kerry Steele....which I found looking on Greg Irby Gallery.

This will make the room by bringing all the colors together.

I just threw some pillows in there [what is a design board without those right?] since we are still up in the air about that aspect of the space....baby steps:)

Meanwhile back to the grind of trying to whip this sucker into shape.

Cami on the beach!

#funtimes.
