THIS AND THAT APRIL 25

How the heck can I quit blogging when I get so much love from all of you?  I mean even some "diehard lurkers" wrote comments so the pressure is definitely on!

That being said my blog post may be just a little schizophrenic for a while as I have a lot of projects going on but nothing is quite finished:)

Anyway I definitely think my slight depression is situational and it comes and goes for sure.  But hey....with the year we all have had I am sure that is the norm right?  We shall overcome!

So let's see what I have been up to since last week....my appointment on Monday cancelled so that meant I could go look at rugs for a project!

This is the family room....

Now I have not checked stock on these so they could just be auditioning for the role....hee haw.

I am definitely feeling a few of them and hope the stars align so I can at least say yes or no....I want that control you know!

After a few months of waiting this clients mirror finally came and will be installed on Tuesday....excited.

I got some amazing wallpapers from an artist in Tennessee Angela Simeone

Here is some of her other work...you can find here on Instagram also.

And....the lights arrived for the chest so now I have to get going on accessories.

Yesterday I was doing just that so I visited my favorite consignment store  in Atlanta called Swoox

Man they were stocked up with good stuff!

So I have a funny for you....when I was at my neighbors the other night she asked me about fixing up a rarely used guest room.  I went upstairs while she was cooking me dinner [a job she feels privileged to have] to take a look and see where to start.   When I came back downstairs the first thing I said was...."well one boob light is bad enough but who the heck made the decision to put 2 of them in one room?"  I don't think I have ever seen so much bad taste on a ceiling....haha.

So in short...yes this situation needs to be addressed.

I have also put together a little outfit for you:)

And this baby girl likes to nap on the bed while I am getting ready in the mornings....my cutie.

One more thing....apparently the blog service that sends my blog to your email will be discontinued in July.  I am going to try and figure out what the deal is but my advice is to follow Design Indulgence on Facebook as I do put my blog post on there!

So y'all have a great week....I have a small install coming up so I hope to have some design pics soon!

THIS AND THAT

Well....things and life have certainly changed a little since my last post on fashion.  I have lived through many situations like the gas crisis in the 70's [serious gas lines over an hour long] recessions....9/11 and now this.

I am not an alarmist at heart.....which can be a good thing and bad.  Sometimes it takes me a while to get the situation.....but when my friend sent me this last week I was shocked.

I don't go to the grocery store everyday so I wasn't aware of the panic buying.  I quickly did a toilet paper check and I have 22 rolls so I am hoping I'm good....

I don't want you to think I am taking things lightly....I get it.  I am trying to hang low and luckily I don't hang around big crowds too much.

So I am showing you a few things that happened in my life in the last 10 days.....

I got an incredible tour of this home that is going on the market....

Rear view....

This Buckhead estate....was pretty amazing....

It's on the market for a measly 10 million or so.

I checked on the Ladisic Fines Homes project that I have been working on....it finally got a coat of paint.  My fav color right now....BM Balboa Mist.

I took a drive to my project in Madison, Georgia and got lost....a trip that normally takes about an hour and 15 mins.....took me 2 hours so I was only able to be there for about 25 minutes.  Crikey.

I rewarded myself with this snack on the way home because I felt I deserved it after all of that frustration:)

And I scored these throws at HomeGoods for a project....I love these colors!

My client has this flatware for the Madison project..... and it is gorgeous.  We decided to be a little more reasonable for the dishes as it is a second home and the DR table seats 10 and there is room for 6 at the kitchen island.

So.....I found some cool dinnerware at Bed Bath Beyond....

The color is kind of a gray blue.  I think it's going to be great.

We went to Jenn Balcos Gallery and chose some beauties for Madison.

Some other good stuff I saw while there!

And went next door to Swoox for a few accessories.  Saw all of this great stuff while there.

Yup.... call the news station because there was a small event that happened at my house.

I cooked on Sunday.

I had to substitute a few things because of the pure hysteria at the grocery store.  Yeah.... no quinoa [fortunately I had some frozen from TJ's] or fresh or frozen peas.  I ended up using canned.

But it was delish....

Recipe here

Last up....I had to take this pretty girl to the vet again!

But she is all good!

Y'all.....I hope you are all hanging in there.  Lord knows that has been my mantra the last 6 months.  Some things you have no control over so just move through the "muck" of life and stay strong:)

Love you guys always.....

**UPDATE**
Just wanted to let y'all know all of this was done way before we were advised to stay home....except for the soup....I did go to the grocery store last Sunday and get the ingredients.  I am keeping my interaction to 10 people.....just saying.

ANOTHER PROJECT UPDATE

So I had this thing done to my face.

Dermaplaning.  I was a little apprehensive so I let my sister go first:)  She called me on the way home and said "you have got to do it" and I couldn't make an appointment fast enough....haha

It's where they take a little scalpel and scrape your face....taking off all the dead skin cells and little hairs.  Lordy my face is so smooth and shiny....I would definitely do it again.

I spent last week getting a client ready for a party which meant ordering a few things to finish up the LR and getting some art hung.  I also went over and did her flowers for the event!

Let's start with these chairs that I had refinished and recovered in this pretty Schumacher fabric.

I am a big believer in using what you have....these belonged to the homeowners grandmother.

So much better!  And then we threw a cute little pillow on it and she all but high fived me for making her look so pretty:)

#upcycle y'all.

This chair finally arrived!  The Copper chair from Charles Stewart covered in Schumacher's Chiang Mai Dragon.  I actually had this gorgeous fabric sent out to Nanotex to be treated!

More Schumacher fabric on this pillow....

When I saw this Gabby mirror at the mart I knew it would be the perfect thing for over the mantel.

And I found this bench at my fav consignment store here in Atlanta called Swoox and I had it recovered.  I love the lines of it!

Still working on collecting some art for this hallway gallery wall.

Hung this gorgeous commissioned piece from Andrea Costa.

Had some pillows made for the host and hostess chairs in the dining area off the kitchen.

And another new pillow....

A little accessorizing on the end table.

While I was at Gabby getting the other mirror I spotted this one which was PERFECT on this dark wall!

And last....this Carrie Penley got hung in the dining room....

Just little snippets as I need to get this house finished and photographed!

OK....wedding festivities started last night!  So excited for my niece:)

Sometimes it is hard for me to believe I have gone from Stewardess [20 years] ....to fitness instructor....to designer in my lifetime....and I am not ready to give up yet....haha.
