LADISIC FINE HOMES HOUSE BEAUTIFUL WHOLE HOME 2022

Well...we made it through Christmas....I loved seeing all of the pictures of families and Christmas decorating.

Since I lost my sister to cancer in August of 2021.....the holidays feel a little sad for me. I know sometime soon it will be better as "time is the great healer".....

We have been through 2 showhouses on the last few post and now I have the last one that my friend Michael Ladisic worked on.

I am just going to share some of it today because I have tons of pictures:)

This started out as a renovation and quickly became so much more!  Once House Beautiful contacted Ladisic Fine Homes to become involved it did grew to a much bigger project!

One of my favorite spaces was the kitchen by designer Whitney Parkinson.  It was a blend of tradition with a classic feel.  In my opinion it will be relevant for quite a while.....

This was a small storage area right off the butlers pantry.

Circa Lighting was one of the sponsors and these kitchen pendants were stunning!  I think the barstools were from Serena and Lily.

This was the butlers pantry.....

I was really loving the 2 tone cabinet color.....

Looking straight ahead from the island was a beautiful dining area...I mean it was so inviting to me.

Right off the kitchen was this pretty bar area....

The living room off the kitchen was designer by
Zoe Feldman

The stripe wallpaper wallpaper was Farrow and Ball.

I happen to have a before of this space....

They painted the beams and added that wallpaper.....so much better!

I have a ton more images.....that I will share....

So I have gotten some emails that many of you who have read my blog for a very long time are not getting my post updates.  I checked into that and well....Blogger no longer supports Feedburner that actually pushed it to my followers.  So we have a problem.

I need to find someone to help me figure out what to do but meanwhile if you are on Facebook...I do have a Design Indulgence FB page that you could follow and I put my post there.

There is just way too much change going on haha.

LADISIC FINE HOMES CUSTOM BUILD

Let's just pretend that it has not been awhile and leave it at that:)

Not much going on besides trying to stay focused on work and waiting for something bad to happen....you see I think I might have PTSD.

You know the last 3 years have been a little shaky around here so I am not too hopeful that it is over.  In my mind I think it will be something to do with Cami....as she is 9 now.

Aren't you glad you clicked on this link...it's all doom and gloom over here:)

Let's just move on shall we?  To the great equalizer as I always say.  I mean....no matter what political fence you are on or any other things to argue about in the world now....design can always bring a smile right!  Or a puppy....either is good in my book.

So let's see what I can entertain you with.

My friend Michael Ladisic [the builder] is doing a local show house here for House Beautiful.  It was an older home in Buckhead that he bought to renovate but then they reached out to him and there you go.

Yes it's pretty the way it is but just like designers....he wanted to make it different....
And then there is progress....

About a week ago he called me to help with the outside paint colors...I said if he gives me a glass of wine and feeds me dinner....I was all in.

He obliged.

Since Farrow and Ball are the paint sponsors....that is what we were using.  These 3 colors were already up when I got there.

Taking into consideration the stone which you can see to the left and the color of the windows to the right I picked the top one which is Purbeck Stone and the darker color would be the trim which is Moles Breath.

I think it was a good choice....

I do love the detail below on the gable....

This is the back.....

And Lord...this screened in porch is pretty darn epic!

To see a list of designers I think they are listed here

I will enjoy getting a ring side seat to this one:)
Which of course means you will too....bonus.

HOUSE BEAUTIFUL NASHVILLE WHOLE HOME PROJECT 2019

Darn....I totally forgot to post about my trip to Nashville to see the House Beautiful Whole Home Project.  Do y'all remember when I participated in it last year here in Atlanta?  Well this year they had many designers participate and it is actually a showhouse.  Last year it was only open 2 days.

I drove down with Ladisic Fine Homes....I always forget how close Nashville is to Atlanta and what an easy drive it is.

Get some coffee or wine cause this one is long:)

Last year the house had a farmhouse feel this one didn't....it was built by Castle Homes and located in the Belle Meade area.

The foyer and living room were done by Vern Yip.

I loved the arched iron doors in the entry.

My picture of the foyer above and the professional one below.

Off the entry was the dining room with a table that converted to a ping pong table.  This room was designed by Chenault James.

I did love that vintage curved sofa....so "Mad Men"

Ceiling....yes please

Gorgeous rug....

Matthew Quinns kitchen which was incredible....

I bet they had an easier time getting this dog to model than I did with Cami last year.....#nothavingit  #highmaintenance

This hardware and loved the Caesarstone Excava quartz countertops....

The butlers pantry also designed by Matthew....

This cool mesh by Architectural Grill

I loved this color.....not sure what it is but maybe you can find out online.

Across from the kitchen was the family room by Vern Yip

It went nicely with the kitchen.

Through the butlers pantry is the laundry/mudroom area by Castle Homes.

Crappy picture but the backsplash was this yummy shade of blue!

The kitchen dining area by Modern Remains.

The colors below were actually more accurate....I took this one.

I love loved the music room!  This image does not do it justice but it was warm and cozy with a cool vibe.  Forbes + Masters did a fantastic job!

Here is one I took.....

The master bedroom by Jackson Paige Interiors

And the master bath by Matthew Quinn

Very pretty!

Upstairs the media room by Modern Remains was my favorite....dark and moody!

My friend William McLure's art was a showstopper!

They also did this space which was at the top of the stairs before you went into the media room and 2 bedrooms....

They were busy with 3 spaces total.  But....I have them beat as I did the whole house last year and it about killed me!

Both of the kids rooms were by Amy Berry.

Barclay Buttera designed the outdoor space.....

That umbrella!

A few pictures of my trip.....
What I wore to the party that night.....duh #blackandwhite

Ric Parrish and I at dinner with the Architectural Grill company.  Y'all the reservations were for 9:30....uh huh.  I didn't think I would make it [you know early bird special and all] but I rallied.  We left there at midnight....I was entertained so  it was easy!

So look....if you are a designer in Nashville you will be excited to know about the NDC opening up!  Ric and Matthew gave us the tour....

So excited for them!

Walked around Nashville the next day and had lunch at this cute spot....

Then a quick drink with Michael and Lisa's daughter who is attending Vanderbilt.

#twins right!

I wore the same jacket to dinner that night with a J Crew blouse and my favorite AG jeans.

Before we left the next morning we had brunch at Pinewood Social.

Which is a restaurant with a bowling alley in it!

And that's it!   One of my longer post but you can skip the banter and just scroll thru the pictures....or pick up this months HB and check it out on your own.

I'll be back to my regular "what the heck should I post about".....posts on Friday :)

Again....I so appreciate everyone of you who have commented and reached out to me.
