TV Detective Theme Month Would Not Be Complete Without....

                    Droopy, The Master Detective

I promised Rick an article today and I couldn't deliver.  Until I do, allow me to offer my favorite TV detective of all.  Droopy was a creation of the great Tex Avery, produced by Hanna-Barbera (who else?) in 1993.  My memory must be failing -- I could have sworn Droopy was much older and been around a long time!  Droopy was only on TV for about a year in 1993 in some squirrel show (no, not Rocky).   But what an unforgettable pooch...

You have to love Droopy.  Sad eyes, jowly, completely deadpan delivery in his little nasal voice.  Criminals usually ended up getting caught because Droopy drove them crazy -- no matter what they did or where they went, Droopy always appeared, saying "Hi, there" in his flat voice.  The bad guys were usually happy to jump into the old paddywagon after their experience with the master hound.

Thank you, Droopy, for keeping the streets of Cartoonville safe from the criminal element!

"I'm afraid I have to take you to jail now."
