Formed in 2009, Intestinal Laceration is for the twisted minds obsessed by the extreme, ancestral eschatology, existential cosmology, anti-Christianity, cannibalism, genetic mutation, and pathological malformations.

Conceived in the underworld of Lima, Peru, Intestinal Laceration began rehearsals where compositions of fast and rotten riffs, extreme blast beats, and overwhelmingly chaotic guttural vocals converged. Grinding the local scene over the next five years, the band unshackled their debut EP "Species of Ptrid Minds" in 2015 on Coyote Records (RU).

Their follow-up and first full-length "Chaotic Eschatological Madness" is chaotic, forceful, heavy, and gutturally raw for a brutal and pleasurable listening experience. An evolution from their EP, the album is high energy and nods to true old-school death metal with its elaborate and complex riffs.

The lyrical theme of "Chaotic Eschatological Madness" deals with the cosmological existential anguish as an answer to the absurdities of the world, searching for the true essence of nature in the phenomenological subjective experiences and cosmological knowledge, manifested in the cult of ancestral eschatologies as a symbolic cognitive cultural legacy that is shown in its original way of conceiving the universe (cosmological prefiguration). The album also talks about catastrophic natural phenomena, the regeneration of time, and the extinction of the human race as a misanthropic seed because of its self-destructive nature.

Dabaoth is guitar player, leader and composer in Tenebria, Demiur is former bassist, vocalist and composer in Repugnancia and vocalist in Obscuritas (2022). "Nymph of the Lake is a song inspired, in some way, by Lake Titicaca; for something of its mystery and its beauty. With this song an attempt was made to portray or create a fable or legend scenario. This song creates a watery and nocturnal environment, which evokes a certain feeling of intimacy. Another of its main characteristics is fiction. Its atmosphere surrounds two characters, male and female. The male character, within a dream or some kind of astral projection, tries to attenuate the loneliness of his soul. While the female character appears to fulfill or satisfy the wishes of the other one. Finally, both characters merge into a kind of astral travel to another dimension, or it could even be some kind of abduction, whose outcome becomes the departure of both characters to another reality out of this world we know."

BIOGRAPHY:

Chaska is a Peruvian band tha fuses the intensity of worldwide metal with the beauty of Latin American folklore elements, and has become one of the most interesting bands in their country and in Latin America. The band was formed in Arequipa, Perú, in 2002.

 December 2002, Chaska won a local band contest obtaining, as prize, the recording of two unpublished songs.

 February 2003, the band released their self titled EP, Chaska. This EP allowed the band to play in different cities of Perú.

 In 2005, Chaska performed for the first time outside of Perú, in Chile. Then, the band was invited to be the opening act for the Brazilian band, Sepultura, in Bolivia.

 June 2007, Chaska released an EP titled Bicolour Cannibalism / Tuta Chaska, as a preview of its debut album, Pururauca.

 March 2009, the band released their first full-length album, Pururauca, through the Peruvian label, Mythic Metal Productions.

 In 2012, Chaska and the producers of the Peruvian film, La Luz en el Cerro (The Light on the Hill), reach an agreement so Chaska's music is part of the soundtrack of this movie.

 September 2015, the band released the song, Winter Night Heights, composed exclusively for the film, La Luz en el Cerro (The Light on the Hill).

 September 2016, Chaska reissued its album, Pururauca, through the Peruvian label, Xaria Music.

 July 2017, the band released the compilation, Everlasting Night, through the Peruvian label, Inti Records.

 October 2017, Chaska released a video clip for the song, Winter Night Heights. This video was a shared work with Caudal Films, and includes images of the film, La Luz en el Cerro (The Light on the Hill).

 February 2019, the band was part of the compilation album, Songs of Injustice, released by the European magazine, Metal Hammer.

 March 2019, Chaska was part of the 1st World Metal Congress held in London, England.

In 2020, the band released two live session videos for the songs, Nymph of the Lake and Bicolour Cannibalism.

August 2020, Chaska reissued its album, Pururauca, in cassette format, through the Peruvian label, Disturbio Producciones.

Through the years, Chaska has shared the stage with important bands like Primal Fear, Death Angel, Moonspell, Annihilator, Rhapsody, Arkona, Saratoga, and more.

In 2023 Chaska made a deal with Finnish label Inverse Records to release the new 6-track EP Rites of June which will be out later in 2024.

Fosa Comun is a Death Metal band from Arequipa. They were formed in 1991 with Antonio on drums, Darling on guitars, Marco on bass and Willy on vocals. They made their live debut on the Genocidio Metal IV festival (08/02/92) with Desarme, Accion Violenta, NN, Sanguinaria and Cuarto Cerrado. After that they played at the Genocidio Metal V and in the Metal Masacre with Spasm, etc. Franz then joined on second guitars, playing on the Metal Masacre II with Hadez, etc.

After playing at Metal Masacre III, Marco left the band and was replaced by Gustavo on bass. The band play in other cities like Tacna, Moquegua and Puno. They recorded the first official demo in Arequipa called "Blasfema Iniciación" in 1993 (Rereleased on CD by Sodom Graves Recs in 2021 and on tape by Destruktor Recs in 2022). In 1996 the band play in La Paz, Bolivia and split up a year later. The band return in 2017, playing with Transmetal in Arequipa and is still active..

Message From the Artist:

UNDER THE LIGHT OF MOUNTAINS is our second work as a band and an album that speaks of our ancestors' culture and how they struggled to survive and keep alive their worldview and pride throughout the process of conquest and its resulting subjugation. Decadent atmospheres and some form of vindication is what you will hear in the album from start to finish.

Unlike our debut, Obscure and Malignant Rituals, this work seeks to explore new sounds, with longer songs integrating pre-Hispanic instruments to create a pagan sound with contrasting moods. UNDER THE LIGHT OF MOUNTAINS is both musically and lyrically a rejection towards Christian values and beliefs brought by conquistadors and a homage to our ancient land's history.

While conceptually “Obscure…” was terrifying psychologically speaking, “Under…” is based on historical facts molded under the perspective of a twisted chronicle where myth and symbolism merge with wicked black metal with slight doom vibes, granting a feeling of melancholy and nostalgia that could easily lead into an overwhelming burst of blastbeats. That is what defines our sound, going further on each record.

About the Album

Saqraruna play atmospheric black metal that maintains the aggression and intensity of raw black metal. While there is a rich atmosphere within which the music is presented, this isn’t at the expense of the elements that define black metal as a genre.

You’ll still find shrieked powerful vocals that pierce through the instrumentals on the album, delivering dark verses. Accompanying this at numerous points are furious venomous riffs and unrelenting drum work. At other times things take a more immersive, depressive atmosphere. On the whole though things have taken a more aggressive turn since the band’s last album, with them holding nothing back on this release.

What really makes the album so unique are the themes that it covers, looking at the band’s Peruvian ancestry, culture, and history. The release examines the hardships endured by their ancestors under the reign of their Christian oppressors and the ways that they kept their culture alive. To accentuate this point the band have included numerous spoken audio clips, as well as integrating pre-Hispanic instruments.

The band manage to find a perfect balance between depressive elements and aggression, giving the album a charged yet melancholic atmosphere. It both mourns the loss of their people’s culture and displays the anger at this loss simultaneously.

Overall if you’re a fan of atmospheric black metal then this an album that shouldn’t be missed. This is South American black metal at its finest.

MAZE OF TERROR RELEASE "OFFER TO THE FUCKING BEASTS"

Peruvian Thrash/ Death Metallers MAZE OF TERROR, are back with their long-awaited 2nd album "Offer to the Fucking Beasts".

"Offer to the Fucking Beasts" will be released on August 26th via Xtreem Music (digital and CD).

MAZE OF TERROR was born in 2011 with the aim of creating a raw and devastating Thrash/ Death Metal and released their 1st EP "Skullcrusher" in 2012, followed by a split CD with AMKEN in 2015 and then their debut full-length album "Ready to Kill" in 2016. Later in 2017, another split CD came out, this time with WITCHAVEN and in 2018 the band self-released a digital-only EP entitled "Evoked Black Souls", just when the band got signed with Xtreem Music. Following this, the band released a demo in 2019 and a split album with WOLFSTORM in February 2021.

"Offer to the Fucking Beasts" will have 10 songs of an intense, savage and catchy Thrash/ Death influenced by bands like INFERNÄL MÄJESTY, MERCILESS, MASSACRA, PROTECTOR, DEMOLITION HAMMER and SARCÓFAGO.
