VIDEO PREMIERE: SIDIAN "ELEGIAC, ABSENT CATHARSIS"

PRESS RELEASE:

Sidian returns with force on their new single, “Elegiac, Absent Catharsis,” heralding the long-awaited arrival of the band’s debut full-length—set for a Limited Edition CD release on December 26, 2025 via Rebel Pyro Musick. Blending a haunting atmosphere with razor-edged technical precision, the track captures the band’s evolution from their early demo days through their post-hiatus resurgence.

Check the video here:

Fans may recall Sidian’s 2019 EP Carry My Bones and their pre-2012 demo cycle (“Yersinia Pestis,” “Tombs,” “Anamorphosis,” and “Where the Sun is Silent”), which first hinted at the band’s unique melodic extremity. Their 2012 studio return—“Eternal Bloom of Lamenting Dawn”—recorded with producer Zack Ohren (Castle Ultimate Studios) and featuring drummer Alex Bent (Trivium/Testament/Arkaik), marked a pivotal leap in songwriting ambition.

“Elegiac, Absent Catharsis” continues that progression—somber, searing, and cinematic—offering a powerful first glimpse into Sidian’s fully realized sound.

Wyatt / Sidian had the following to say regarding 'Elegiac, Absent Catharsis':

Right to the point — this song’s for Danny Farhoud, for whom the album is also dedicated. An imperfect eulogy, perhaps. He wasn’t just a friend — he was the closest thing to my brother, especially in spirit. We went through a lot of good and bad together, and when he died, it hit in a way I honestly still don’t fully know how to put into words

I wrote this trying to make sense of all of that… the calm moments, the messed-up moments, the guilt, the clarity — everything that made him who he was to me. A lot of it is just me trying to sit with him again in whatever way I still can. That “garden” in the song is literal — where we came up with the first ideas that would become Sidian, but also how I picture those quieter memories where he felt the most like himself, and where I’d like to imagine him now.

Danny had this softness to him that everyone knew, this contagious laughter that if you knew him and you were reading this, you could easily hear it in your head. I didn’t want that part of him to just disappear. Even now, when it feels like my world goes silent for a second, I catch myself thinking of the really important moments that shaped me, and he was always right there.

This ended up being my attempt to carry him forward in a way a bit more permanent than just memories, imbuing it with the actual last riff we ever wrote together. It’s for the version of him that finally got to breathe, and for the version of me that’s still trying to figure out how to live with the space he left behind."

VERILEHTO RELEASE "AARNIHAUTA"

PRESS RELEASE:

The Finnish black metal band Verilehto released their second album Aarnihauta on November 28th 2025 via Inverse Records.

LISTEN to the album on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/verilehto-aarnihauta-album

"The album is built largely on the same principles as its predecessor: something new, something borrowed, and something black, combining old riffs and fresh ideas without trying to reinvent the wheel. The songs were created quite quickly during the summer and autumn of 2023, but the final production shaped more slowly into its current form. The material is diverse, containing both dark and slow-tempo pieces as well as faster and even catchy productions. The overall package is stronger than before, and with the new bassist Räipiö, the sound world has gained significantly more depth." says, Janne Tuikkala

WATCH Aarnihauta music video: https://youtu.be/H86-L0xUx60

BIOGRAPHY:

The Finnish melodic black metal band Verilehto is back with a new album, Aarnihauta. The album title translates as 'hidden grave in the forest', which is a fitting description of the band's second album.

Verilehto plays Finnish 90s-style black metal, characterised by melodic and aggressive riffs, raw vocals, and an eerie overall tone. The Finnish folklore-inspired lyrics fit well with the band's versatile riffs, and the songs vary from fast blastbeats to slower storytelling elements.

This album also sees a change in Verilehto's line-up, with Markus Räppiö from Kaira joining the crew. With Markus on bass, Janne Partanen (Hautajaisyö, Alfa Pentatonik, Marraskuun Lapset, Paavalin Harhat) on vocals, and Janne Tuikkala (Muria & Dawn of Everwinter) on guitars, drums and synth, the band is stronger than ever.

'Aarnihauta' sees the band continuing to evolve from their debut album 'Kuoleman Siipien Havina' by focusing on their own sound and style. The album is not overly polished, and has a good raw quality to the production, but this is not the main focus. It was recorded by the band themselves in 2024–25.

The album artwork was created by the talented Awinita Alm, and the single artwork was created by the band. The "Aarnihauta" video was filmed in 2024 and edited by Janne Tuikkala and Markus Räppiö.

KRUSHOR RELEASE "TASTE OF HATRED"

PRESS RELEASE:

Finnish thrashers Krushor are set to release their debut EP 'Taste of Hatred' on January 9th 2026 via Inverse Records. The second single 'Taste of Hatred' is unleashed today and it's available here: https://push.fm/fl/krushor-taste

The band comments:

"Taste of hatred is about situation where a person takes a stand for someone who's pushed 'em down long enough to make that person retaliate. What happens, when beaten and oppressed person decides to stand their ground and says they've had enough and gives back all they had to endure. What kind is this persons actual hatred if just a taste of it can turn tables and make the one who made them suffer have taste of their own medicine."

LISTEN to the first single 'Shockwave': https://push.fm/fl/krushor-shockwave

BIOGRAPHY:

The band found its current identity through shared musical tastes, playing together, and a shared hobby. We are a group of people who enjoy making and playing music that works for all of us. A big part of this is that composing, writing lyrics, and editing songs is open to everyone. All songs and compositions are created by the whole group, not based on one person's vision or goal.

Our influences definitely come from older metal, but that doesn't matter, because mixing genres actually adds a lot to our music; there's no one right way to do things. Krushor's goal is to make music that sounds good and at the same time talk about the difficult things that are part of life. For many people, music can be therapeutic, and if even one person feels that way about our music, we feel we have succeeded.

INTHRACED RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "NEON FRONTIERS"

PRESS RELEASE:

The Finnish symphonic/melodic death metal band Inthraced is set to release their long-awaited debut album 'Constellation Zero' on May 15th 2026 via Inverse Records. The first single, 'Neon Frontiers', which offers an excellent preview of what to expect from the album, is released today and it's available on all major streaming platforms: https://push.fm/fl/inthraced-neon-frontiers

The band comments:

"Neon Frontiers stands as the most melodic and captivating track on the album — a powerful fusion of signature Inthraced elements and a fresh, revitalized sound. Crushing riffs, soaring melodies, and intricate guitar solos intertwine seamlessly, pushing the band’s music into new and unexplored territories. The chorus features guest vocalist Marcus Lång, whose commanding voice breathes new life into the song and elevates it to another dimension — as if the stars themselves had finally aligned."

BIOGRAPHY:

Inthraced is a Finnish metal band founded in 2011, blending melodic intensity with cosmic darkness to forge a distinct and powerful soundscape. Their early releases, “The New Awakening” (2012) and “The Rising Chaos” (2014), set the foundation for their rise, further amplified by the 2019 single “Interstellar.”

In 2022, the band was reborn with a new guitarist and bassist, igniting the creative fire behind their debut album “Constellation Zero” — an epic and ambitious journey that carries the listener to the very edges of the universe.

EL MUERTO RELEASE "LOST AND AMSTERDAMNED"

PRESS RELEASE:

El Muerto, the Netherlands' one-man Black/Death Metal project, has released debut EP, Lost and Amsterdamned!

Stream/Purchase Lost and Amsterdamned:

elmuerto2.bandcamp.com/album/lost-and-amsterdamned

open.spotify.com/album/1ii2JWwZludnI4z7r4ZcWP

music.apple.com/us/album/lost-and-amsterdamned/1839573465

El Muerto was born in the depths of personal crisis, a raw and unflinching document of depression, trauma, and the desire to disappear. Conceived as a final message from an artist who had lost the will to live, each track captures a chapter of that darkness. But this record is no longer a goodbye. It’s proof that even in the shadows, something can still survive.

El Muerto is the alter ego of a multi-instrumentalist whose journey spans continents, from the underground metal scene of Mexico (Sekhmet) to experimental projects in Australia (Conscious Comma), now anchored in the Dutch landscape. With Lost and Amsterdamned, he delivers a fiercely collaborative black/death metal EP shaped by the frostbitten influence of Immortal, the grim atmosphere of Darkthrone and Mgła, and the progressive shadows of Opeth and Emperor.

Driven by guitar-forward compositions and visceral vocals, the record balances old-school extremity with cinematic vision. Each track is both a personal exorcism and a descent into archetypal horror, as described by below by El Muerto.

"Enthroned in the Tower of Shadows (The Witch)" – A theatrical black metal tale of the witch-queen reigning from a tower of obsidian. Ritualistic, grand, and venomously lyrical, it reads like folklore soaked in blood and fire. Betrayal, treason and lies.

"Ghosts of Torment" – An inner war against unseen forces. This track is a descent into madness where haunting spirits represent trauma, anxiety, and mental illness. Dissonant and despairing, it’s a song about being torn from within—and haunted from without.

"Lich King" – A blighted anthem of death’s dominion. With imagery of skeletal monarchs and ruined worlds, it’s a march into the void, full of oppressive riffing and funereal dread.

"A Song for Ran" – A melancholic invocation of the Norse sea goddess, casting despair into the sea’s cold embrace. Melodic and mournful, it drifts between surrender and transcendence beneath crashing waves and whispered death. Where the final rest in the most peaceful as well.

"Blood Crypt" – The EP’s most venomous moment: a burial rite soaked in bile and loathing. A brutal poem of closure through decay, it turns memory into rot, laying ghosts to rest in a cathedral of scorn.

"Wolves of Den Haag" – Inspired by the real-life cannibalistic murder of Dutch statesman Johan de Witt in 1672, this track uses historical horror to reflect modern betrayal and societal rage. Gnarled riffs and spectral tension echo through The Hague’s ghost-soaked streets.

Each song speaks in the language of metal, but beneath the corpse paint and distortion lies something deeply human—anguish, defiance, and ultimately, release.

Each of these songs reflects personal trauma through the lens of myth, horror, and metal’s harshest language turning lived experience into sonic ritual. Lost and Amsterdamned no longer marks an ending. It is a violent testament of survival, memory, and transformation. A cathartic howl from the pit—and the sound of someone crawling out of it.

The album's rhythm section features guest musicians from international metal acts, such as downunder's Norse and Europe's Adarrak.

Mixed by the legendary Tomas Skogsberg of Sunlight Studios in Sweden and mastered by Ricardo Botello. Recorded in studios across the Netherlands.

PALE HORSE RITUAL RELEASE "DIABOLIC FORMATION"

PRESS RELEASE:

Pale Horse Ritual

Diabolic Formation

Black Throne Productions

28 November 2025

The time is once again drawing near for the next moonlit ritual. Canadian stoner/doom/heavy psych outfit PALE HORSE RITUAL evoke the occult sound of the '70s in their forthcoming album, Diabolic Formation. Hidden in the shadows, the quartet's fuzz-driven, analogue ambience lies in wait. Diabolic Formation is set to arrive in our realm on November 28, 2025, via Black Throne Productions.

Inspired by horror movies, an oppressive heaviness swarms and erupts in "Deflowered". Diving straight into the abyss, the steady rhythmic pulse grounds the track while guitar leads entwine - darting in and out of the thunderous shroud. The haunting psychedelic splendor of "Wickedness" is highly immersive. Rhythmic instrumentation carries the momentum throughout the track while additional textures are delivered by organ arrangements, atmospheric fuzz and compelling vocals. Flooded in a haze of heavy, there's something eerie and disturbing beneath the surface.

An abrasive greeting emanates from "Holy Lies". The stormy power of the deafeningly low tones is accompanied with the contrasting vocal melodies that writhe above. "Save You" arrives with an acoustic guitar-led introduction, a striking contrast to the previous track. Leaning further into psychedelic lands, "Save You" induces a dream-like state exploring the lighter side of PALE HORSE RITUAL's sound.

A rock 'n' roll spirit bursts into life at the arrival of "Bloody Demon". Groove rhythms are accompanied with lashings of fuzz and a memorable hook. The vintage vibes of "D.E.D." explode into ferocious fury of crashing cymbals, percussion, distortion and spooky organ notes. Thematically exploring the concept of an afterlife and pondering death, instrumental layers rise and fall while a demonic vocal performance reveals the monster within. Reaching "A Beautiful End", the ceremony concludes in a gothic tale of a love story between a man and a vampiress. Dramatic organ chords inject a theatricality into the steadfast rhythms and enticing, seductive vocals.

BOUND TO PREVAIL RELEASE "ENTHRONED IN TORMENT"

PRESS RELEASE:

BOUND TO PREVAIL, the death metal force from Malta, will unleash their debut full-length album, “Enthroned in Torment”, on January 7th, 2026 via Lethal Scissor Records.

The record is a powerful rediscovery and reinterpretation of the early 2000s death metal vein, blending old-school brutality with a modern edge. Drawing on the technical ferocity of old masters like Suffocation and Monstrosity, as well as the more extreme, yet precise, pummeling approaches of Beheaded, Hour of Penance and Inveracity, the album delivers tracks that are simultaneously tense, technical and fluid, giving every riff room to breathe and strike with maximum impact.

“Enthroned in Torment” fuses the relentless aggression of classic death metal with contemporary clarity and production, creating a sound that honors the past while feeling undeniably current. Crushing drumming, thunderous bass, and razor-sharp guitars intertwine with menacing vocals to forge an unrelenting wall of sound. The album explores the morbid tension between malevolence and benevolence, set in a chaotic realm shaped by false beliefs and deceitful ambitions.

With this debut, BOUND TO PREVAIL stake their claim in European death metal, offering a masterful balance of old-school intensity and modern precision that will captivate fans of both eras.

The first single “Consecrated Perdition” is now streaming HERE.

Tracklist:

01. The Nevergod

02. Into the Depths

03. Defier of Empires

04. Consecrated Perdition

05. Atone in Blasphemy

06. Dawn of Emptiness

07. Tomb of the Graveless

08. Enthroned in Torment

BOUND TO PREVAIL’s brand of death metal is influenced by a wide variety of extreme music subgenres, with each band member bringing their own distinct influences to the songwriting process. BOUND TO PREVAIL’s core sound fuses aggressive, frantic, pounding rhythmic passages with instantly recognizable melodic overtones.

Founded in the fall of 2014, the Maltese band hit the ground running and quickly set their sights on staking a claim on the local underground metal scene. Their well-received debut live performance at the Malta Xtreme Metal Assault Festival in the summer of 2016 was quickly followed by a number of shows, including supporting slots for renowned international acts such as Fleshgod Apocalypse, Vader, Entombed A.D., and Mayhem.

In 2017, BOUND TO PREVAIL entered XiR Studio to record their first official EP, "Omen of Iniquity", before traveling to Sweden to have it mixed and mastered by renowned producer and engineer Ronnie Björnström at Enhanced Audio Productions, known for his work with Aeon and Beheaded. The five tracks on "Omen of Iniquity" perfectly showcase the band’s trademark sound.

BOUND TO PREVAIL performed at the Deathfeast Open Air 10th Anniversary Edition in Andernach, Germany, earning praise for both the EP and their performance alongside legendary acts such as Suffocation, Cryptopsy, and Vital Remains. Further shows that winter included supporting Dutch death metal legends Sinister.

In March 2018, the band joined the Blood Stained Earth Tour, supporting Venom Inc., Suffocation, Nervosa, and Aeternam in Manchester, UK. In May, they performed at the first edition of SinFest alongside Hecate Enthroned, Carach Angren, and Necronomicon. Later that summer, they headlined Malta’s Farsons Beer Festival Rock Stage, becoming the first death metal band to play one of the island’s largest music festivals.

In 2019, BOUND TO PREVAIL represented Malta at the first World Metal Congress in London, an international gathering endorsed by Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) and featuring speakers and musicians including Barney Greenway (Napalm Death), Kim Kelly (Noisey), Tim Hömann (Wacken Open Air), and Dom Lawson (Metal Hammer). The year concluded with support dates for Suffocation, Belphegor, God Dethroned, and Nordjevel on the Europe Under Black Death Fire tour, as well as performances at the Antitrend and Enter The Eternal Fire festivals in the Czech Republic.

The band performed at the 2022 Obscene Extreme, MetalDays, and Deathfeast Open Air festivals, and at the 2023 editions of Farsons Beer Festival and Malta Death Fest. BOUND TO PREVAIL continue to work on securing additional local and European shows.

In 2024, the band entered SpineSplitter Studio to record, mix, and master their latest album, "Enthroned in Torment", to be released via Lethal Scissor Records.

STERBHAUS RELEASE "NEXT AKIN TO CHAOS"

PRESS RELEASE:

Band: Sterbhaus

Album: Next Akin to Chaos

Release Date: November 21, 2025

Country: Sweden

Label: Killhead

Stockholm veterans Sterbhaus have set November 21st as the international release date for their highly anticipated third full-length album, Next Akin to Chaos - the first in ten years.

Track list:

1. Deth Bü Wolfe

2. Wrecking The World

3. The Evildoer Of Pixelville

4. Whippersnapper

5. Nowhere in the Bible does Jesus have a Sword Fight

6. Master Of The Hunt

7. The Man who was a Rat, who was a Snake

8. Bad workers are slaves...And dead

9. The Autopsy of Intergalactic John Doe

10. Abhorrence

In the meantime, three singles have already been released, accompanied by official music videos and a visualizer, offering a first glimpse into the upcoming album:

"Wrecking the World" - https://youtu.be/mLSGthS05fY

"Deth Bü Wolfe" - https://youtu.be/9Orn55Imy2s

"Master of the Hunt" - https://youtu.be/Y52O5tetIs4

Stockholm veterans Sterbhaus play Metal Deluxe which can be described as timeless Death, Thrash, Heavy, Black and Progressive Metal that is neither retro or modern. And Sterbhaus lines this with a heavy dose or dark wit humour.

The band is the home of Marcus Hammarström (previously Elvira Madigan 1998-2008, Shining and currently also in Veile - side project of Ghul from Mayhem), Jimmy Ahovalli and Erik Röjås (previously Ondskapt and Decadence). Started in 2007 as a five-piece and reformed several times since then, Sterbhaus ended up as a trio after having looked back on years releasing absolutely stellar albums, touring Europe (as support for Vader, Melechesh and Shining), South America and after having played several prestigious festivals such as Metal Town, Rock Harz, BlastFest, Extremefest which meant sharing the bill with Slipknot, Amon Amarth, Marilyn Manson, Behemoth, Opeth etc.

In 2025 Sterbhaus made a quite formidable return after a period of being fairly dormant and surprised the scene with the comeback single “Deth Bü Wolfe” which is the knuckle sandwich old/new/awaiting fans never saw coming.

The current status of Sterbhaus is actually quite unknown as the band announced its end in 2019 - while simultaneously making it very clear that there were still several releases to be made. One was the live album “Necrostabbing at Göta Källare” which achieved the unlikely feat of snagging the No1 sales position in Sweden for physical releases and No9 for all Metal and all formats!

While the debut “Angels for Breakfast ...And God for Lunch” (2013) seemed to open most evert door the album “New Level of Malevolence” (2015) - although popular and praised when released, seemed to close those doors instead. Several cancelled tours, being banned for offensive videos (a ridiculous claim ofc), botched promotions, even more cancellations and one or two empty festival seasons together with personal issues put Sterbhaus in such a tight spot the band had a hard time bouncing back. Marcus Hammarström joined Swedish extreme metal titans Shining and toured extensively while Sterbhaus released the Christmas EP “Krampusnacht”. Eventually Marcus quit Shining to focus on the 2025 Sterbhaus album "Next Akin to Chaos".

Either it will be a momentous epitaph or a new beginning.
