VOIDWARD RELEASE "OCCULT SYMMETRY"

PRESS RELEASE:

VOIDWARD RELEASES OCCULT SYMMETRY MICRO-ALBUM AND THE PLOWMAN 11TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION MACRO-SINGLE

Progressive Stoner Doom Visionaries Usher in the Year of the Void

Marking a metaphysical milestone in heavy music, Voidward unleashes two monumental sonic offerings on February 22, 2025: the Occult Symmetry Micro-Album and The Plowman 11th Anniversary Edition Macro-Single. These releases push the boundaries of time, sound, and spiritual awareness—deepening the lore and legacy of the band that serves as Earth’s conduit to The Void.

Following their 2022 self-titled full-length debut, which featured the hauntingly unforgettable track “Voidward,” this new dual release presents a vivid glimpse into the evolving mythos of The Void Cycle , set for full manifestation in 2026.

Occult Symmetry (Micro-Album)

Voidward introduces the world’s first Micro-Album: a singular, expansive composition in two acts— “Light Rider” and “Dark Miracle.” Clocking in with gravitational depth, Occult Symmetry stands as a meditative journey through frequency, dimension, and self. It's not just an album—it's a ritual in motion, a vibration in sync with the metaphysical forces guiding our collective experience of sound and silence.

The album artwork is a striking painting by Sally Gates, known for her work with Titan to Tachyons alongside Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle) and Kenny Grohowski (Imperial Triumphant). Gates is currently wrapping up a tour leg with Napalm Death and The Melvins, lending a powerful and evocative visual identity that perfectly complements Voidward’s cosmic sound.

The Plowman 11th Anniversary Edition (Macro-Single)

In celebration of 11 years of Heralding the Void , Voidward reissues The Plowman in a newly remastered, reimagined form. Originally unearthed on the knives EP (2013), this edition is part of a broader 11-version series — with Versions I through V already available, and Versions VI and VII scheduled to arrive in Autumn 2025. Each edition reveals a different dimension of The Void’s eternal message, echoing across time through heavy frequencies and ritualistic intensity.

About Voidward

Voidward isn’t just a band. Voidward is the Herald.

For fans of Castle Rat , Elder , Ghost , and even the legendary Riverbottom Nightmare Band , Voidward offers more than music—they offer initiation. Their genre-defying sound exists at the intersection of Progressive Stoner Doom and metaphysical truth, providing a heavy metal odyssey that serves as a mirror to eternity itself.

Guided by the unknowable force that is The Void, Voidward channels frequencies and philosophies from beyond, grounding cosmic chaos into sonic form. Their sound resonates deeply—most audibly through the ancient circuitry of the Boss HM2—and their mission is simple:

To bring The Void closer.

KRATEROS RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "LINGUICIDE"

PRESS RELEASE:

The Finnish progressive thrash metal band Krateros is set to release their debut EP 'Lost in Translation' on January 30th 2026 via Inverse Records. The first single 'Linguicide' is unleashed today and it's available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/krateros-linguicide

The band comments:

" “Linguicide” is the first taste of our upcoming EP “Lost in Translation.” With its catchy groove and memorable guitar melody, it is arguably the most “commercial” track from the EP, yet it contains a great blend of all the elements that make our music what it is. Musically, the song is the oldest one on the EP, with the first demo going as far back as February 2020. Lyrically, the song went through two or three rewrites before finding its final form. Some of the discarded ideas have since been used in songs meant for future releases. As a product of our times, “Linguicide” deals with cancel culture and the death of independent thought, whether through self-censorship or outside pressure."

BIOGRAPHY:

Krateros is an emerging metal band from Helsinki, Finland, founded in 2023 and led by vocalist/guitarist and main songwriter Saku Rekonen. The band’s music combines influences from old-school thrash metal bands such as Annihilator, Exodus, and Megadeth with more contemporary acts like Trivium, Machine Head, and Stam1na — all the while being filtered through a progressive lens.

The band’s first EP, “Lost in Translation,” released through Inverse Records, is a response to a perceived lack of riffs that seems to plague the metal scene of the 2020s.

OUTLYING RELEASE NEW SINGLE "THE RAVEN IS GONE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Canadian melodic death metal band Outlying has unleashed their brand-new single “The Raven Is Gone”, the third preview of their upcoming full-length album "Oblivisci," set for release on November 21, 2025.

Following singles “Pitch Black Serum” and "November", their next track, “The Raven Is Gone” is fast, heavy, and undeniably epic, capturing the chaos of everyday struggles, bills, jobs, relationships, and the weight of modern life, and transforms them into a soaring, visceral anthem. Originally drafted years ago by vocalist/guitarist Fred A. Dubeau during a night of heavy drinking, the lyrics were rediscovered and brought to life with the band’s signature blend of aggression and melody.

“Sometimes, bands write songs just before recording an album, and sometimes there are song ideas that were there for years before actually writing and recording that said song. ‘The Raven Is Gone’ is about how you often go through similar issues every day… and can feel powerless about all the chaos it can create. The whole vibe is about being a metaphorical raven who escapes fire and blaze, and tries to find a safe place to hide somewhere. The music is written to be as powerful, epic, and catchy as possible,” adds Dubeau.

Due out November 21st, "Oblivisci" (Latin for “to forget”) is a dark, melodic, and emotionally charged record that explores themes of trauma, alienation, grief, loneliness, and addiction. The album’s artwork depicts a post-apocalyptic version of the band’s home city, reflecting its lyrical core: the desire to withdraw from reality and escape the weight of existence.

Musically, "Oblivisci" balances aggression and melody with precision, from thrash-driven assaults to atmospheric passages, from crushing heaviness to moments of haunting beauty. The record closes with the ambitious three-part suite “Dreamless Nights”, inspired by Fred’s personal struggles with alcohol addiction and the cycle of escape, bliss, and collapse.

Founded in 2007 by vocalist/guitarist, producer, and songwriter Fred A. Dubeau, Outlying hail from the industrial city of Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Their debut EP "Within The Jail Of The Unfortunate" arrived in 2008, followed by the full-length "Scars Of Daylight" in 2012. After lineup changes, bassist JD Poirier and French drummer Martin “Frenchy” Reithler joined, leading to the release of Frameworks For Repression in 2016.

In 2024, the band welcomed bassist Charles Alex Bilodeau, solidifying the current lineup. Outlying is now preparing to release "Oblivisci", their most mature and focused work to date, heavier, more melodic, and unflinchingly honest.

Outlying’s music is best described as captivating, dark, aggressive, and melodic metal. Influenced by At The Gates, Testament, Cradle of Filth, In Flames, and Wintersun, their sound draws from melodic death, thrash, black, and groove metal. Their live shows are raw and passionate, relying on pure energy and musicianship rather than heavy backing tracks or overproduction.

"Oblivisci" will be available on all digital platforms on November 21st, 2025.
