Damnation's Veil, is out August 28 on Transcending Obscurity Records.

Damnation’s Veil is a consistent blend of death-thrash, metallic hardcore, black metal, and traditional heavy metal. The album will be available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.

Tracked between April-July 2025, the production process for Damnation's Veil was split between recording drums, guitars and bass with Matthew Michel at Viva Studios (Goetia, Antichrist Siege Machine, Infant Island, Left Cross, Blood Monolith) in Fairfax, VA, while vocals were handled by Sebastian Philips (Exhumed, Mammoth Grinder) at his home studio in Dundalk, MD. 

In other news, Ninth Realm has announced an album listening party and album release show, both of which will take place in Washington, D.C. The Damnation's Veil album listening party happens on August 29 at Lyman's Tavern. The album release show will take place on on October 9 at Pie Shop.

BIO:

Ninth Realm is a death-thrash band founded in Maryland and the surrounding DMV area. Formed in 2019, the band has released six individual recordings, including a demo, two EPs, a promo tape, and a full-length album, as well as several splits and compilations with other bands. Drummer Joey Burke and lead guitarist Liam McMahon started the project while in college at the University of Maryland.

Conceptually, the band draws from Joey’s original dark fantasy world, Tythorin – a setting shaped by themes of vengeance, fate, grief, trauma, and the indomitable willpower of the human spirit.

NECROCCULTUS was formed in 2003 as a five-piece band consisting of César (guitar), Omar (bass), Chago (guitar), Daniel (drums), and Isaías (growls). During the following three years, this original line-up recorded several releases, including the brutal full-length “Encircling The Mysterious Necrorevelation” (2005) for Sempiternal Productions (US), a 7” EP for Blood Harvest Records (Sweden), a three-way split CD with Sanctifier and Throneum on Warfuck Records (Colombia), and a split LP with Shub-Niggurath released by Iron Bonehead Productions (Germany).

Between 2006 and 2009, the band went through a series of line-up changes while continuing to perform live. Among their most notable appearances was “Glorifying the Great Beast” in 2009, where they shared the stage in Berlin, Germany, with bands such as Necros Christos, Kaamos, Graveyard, and others.

In 2012, NECROCCULTUS recorded another 12” EP, “Solemnelohim, Bringer Of Death”, once again released via Blood Harvest Records. Further line-up changes followed, and in 2020 the band unleashed the demo “Unburied Hellish Presences”, released by the Italian label Unholy Domain Records. Shortly after, due to the global pandemic, the band disbanded.

In 2024, founding member Isaías H. reactivated NECROCCULTUS alongside a new line-up: Roel (guitar), Néstor (bass), Alex (guitar), Dante (drums), and Isaías (growls). After performing several live shows, the band entered the studio between July and October 2025 to record their new abominable full-length, “The Afterdeath Blackness”, featuring eight tracks of bestial, unholy death metal.

Born from the grips of the pandemic, SHINE are the newest brainchild of Hazael’s Tomasz Dobrzeniecki, and their first album Wrathcult leaves no doubt that a new force in Polish extreme metal has awakened.

Inspired by the likes of Emperor, Bathory, Morbid Angel, Entombed and Dismember, Dobrzeniecki’s new outfit channels that lineage into something raw, relentless, and unmistakably its own.

“‘SHINE’ for me is a sheen of a sword's blade, the last thing that your foes see in their lives. You can also relate it to the Promethean light given to people that enlightens or sometimes blinds us. It can also be a glare of rage stemming from the resistance towards the unnatural rules forced upon us,” explains Dobrzeniecki when asked about his new unit’s name. “Our music is full of references to ancient rules and rituals and times when people lived in accordance with nature and cosmos using the primeval knowledge.”

Dark Descent Records will handle the release, having previously collaborated with Dobrzeniecki on the reissue of Hazael’s classic opus. Wrathcult continues in similar thematic territory, invoking forgotten ancestral knowledge and tapping into primal forces, and mythic echoes of a pre-Christian world.

“Lyrics for the album are mainly inspired by the pre-Christian spirituality and mythology of our forefathers and based on such books as Bestiariusz Słowiański, Mitologia Słowiańska by J. Bobrowski and M. Wrona, and Słowiańska Czarownica (Slavic Bestiary, Slavic Mythology, Slavic Witch). The lyrics pay homage to nature and higher powers in order to upkeep the memories of the beliefs that once shaped our heritage. We live on the borderline of three cultures that blend together in some way – Germanic, Norse and Slavic mythology have quite a lot in common.”

The album was recorded at Heinrich House Studio in Legionowo, Poland - a small city on the outskirts of Warsaw that holds an important place in metal history, being the hometown of Daray (Dimmu Borgir, Vesania), Orion (Behemoth, Vesania) and Heinrich (Vesania, Decapitated). “Me and producer Heinrich (Filip Hałucha) have known each other for about 20 years. If you want to record a metal album that 100% meets your expectations, I think he's the only person that I trust.”

Inhabiting a space between the soulless mists of the Pacific Northwest and the haunting rains of Mexico City, Degraved have re-emerged with their first full-length offering. Spectral Realm of Ruin brings the same seismic passages and eerie atmospheres that those familiar with the band’s early material will recognize, but captivatingly and meticulously expanded upon. Bludgeoning blast beats and relentless guitar riffs conjure a dark backdrop for the hellish, bestial vocal torment seeping with mirth for the atrocities of modern life. Slower passages and synthesizer accoutrements add an eldritch atmosphere to the picture, descending the listener into an unforgettable and sometimes furiously catchy proper debut.

Degraved harnesses the 90s Death Metal sound gloriously, mixing classic homages and maniacal hooks that will grab the unsuspecting and drag them along with hate and indignity. In the riffs, one can hear the influence of Morbid Angel and Immolation, and less obtuse references such as Slugathor and Cianide. Hell, some sections channel the corruptive influence of bands like Demoncy or Blaspherian. BEER CANNON is a ferocious thrash metal outfit hailing from the heart of West Yorkshire, UK. Founded in early 2023 by guitarists Artur Skrzypczak and Krystian Zamojski, the band wasted no time in forging their path of sonic destruction. Shortly after their inception, William Paxman joined on bass, followed by the powerhouse drummer, Scott Bakes.

With a relentless passion for their craft, Beer Cannon sought to find a vocalist who could embody their vision of aggression and intensity. When none could be found, Artur Skrzypczak stepped up to the plate, taking on vocal duties in addition to his role as guitarist.

In late 2023, the band faced a setback as Krystian Zamojski departed due to personal reasons. However, this marked the beginning of a new chapter for Beer Cannon, with William Paxman making the transition from bass to guitar, bringing a fresh energy to the group.

In January 2024, Beer Cannon embarked on a journey to immortalize their sound, entering the studio to record their debut EP, "The Last of Hops." Eeleased on April 20th, 2024, this EP is a testament to the band's unwavering dedication and uncompromising sound.

Described as a fusion of old-school thrash metal with death metal influences, Beer Cannon proudly dubs their style as "Beer Metal Attack," though some have dubbed it "Party Death Thrash." Swedish death metal pioneers DISMEMBER are proud to announce that as of today the compilation The Complete Demos (1988-1990) as well as the rare 1991 master of their classic debut, Like An Everflowing Stream, are finally available on streaming services.

In 2022, DISMEMBER began to relaunch their complete catalogue and this mission continues in 2023! The newest entry is a carefully restored collection of their earliest works titled The Complete Demos (1988-1990). This release was remastered by Patrick W. Engel from new tape transfers by Nicola Costantini (‘Encyclopedia Of Svensk Döds Metall’), and showcases the early days in the band’s evolution culminating in the infamous Reborn in Blasphemy demo which initiated the group’s career with Nuclear Blast Records.

In addition, Nuclear Blast and DISMEMBER are happy to release the rare June 1991 master of the band's debut album, Like An Everflowing Stream, which due to its higher dynamic range is considered to be the superior sounding version of the recording. Until now it had only been available on one particular CD pressing from 1991, but an old copy was unearthed while restoring the group’s back catalogue, so it can finally be made available to a wider audience. Between 1988 and 2011 DISMEMBER earned a notorious reputation as the “Motörhead (version) of death metal”, through eight classic albums and furious live shows around the globe. The band was formed by Robert Sennebäck, David Blomqvist and Fred Estby in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1988 and has long since been regarded as one of the originators of the trademark Swedish death metal sound, next to other pioneering bands such as ENTOMBED, GRAVE and UNLEASHED. DISMEMBER recorded a couple of self-released demos before their 1990 demo cassette, Reborn In Blasphemy, with Matti Kärki on vocals and ENTOMBED's Nicke Andersson taking over most lead guitar parts, got picked up for a wider release by NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. In 1991, their first full-length, Like An Everflowing Stream (Nuclear Blast Records), saw the light of day, which was recorded by Thomas Skogsberg at the now legendary Sunlight Studios, and featured Richard Cabeza (UNANIMATED) on bass. DISMEMBER released their acclaimed sophomore album, Indecent & Obscene, in 1993, which to this day remains their most successful output. Three more albums would follow on NUCLEAR BLAST, Massive Killing Capacity (1995), Death Metal (1997) and Hate Campaign (2000), until the band decided to switch labels. They released two more albums, Where Ironcrosses Grow (2004, Karmageddon Records) and The God That Never Was (2006, Regain) before Fred Estby announced his departure for family reasons in 2007. Their last album, Dismember, followed in 2008 and the band officially broke up in 2011.After an eight-year hiatus, the band's original line-up reunited for a 30th anniversary gig at Scandinavia Death Fest in October 2019, performing together for the first time in over 20 years.

Walk Between Worlds is the first in a trilogy of albums from GATES TO THE MORNING. It is musically true to the album title as the material contained within spans several different releases. This record features acoustic/unplugged re-imaginations of tracks from Return To Earth as well as re-imaginations of songs that will be featured on future albums that are yet to be released. Finally there are also tracks that are unique to this album alone. Employing dreamlike ambience and atmosphere with more acoustic instruments, Walk Between Worlds is the calm before the storm; a sort of unplugged/folk detour before resuming a sound that will closely follow up their Progressive/Post-Black Metal sound from Return to Earth for the latter two instalments of this trilogy.

Walk Between Worlds is indeed a side-road and a dreamy divergence from the sound GATES TO THE MORNING established on their debut, but perhaps one that will be revisited from time to time as the band has displayed a propensity to be eclectic and wide-ranging since their conception.

After 30 years of fronting Black / Death Metal underground legends ACHERON, lead vocalist Vincent Crowley put the group to the rest to pursue a solo career with the new band - VINCENT CROWLEY. Back from the blacked Abyss, this new musical entity veers to a different dark path from his past work. Lycanthro has been hard at work on their new album “Mark of the Wolf”, which releases on Friday, June 4th via Alone Records to follow their 2018 EP “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”.

On this new LP, Lycanthro has been drawing more influences from European and US power metal to the point where they decided to make it a mainstay in their overall sound.

This album as well as the previous EP was recorded at Wolf Lake Studios in Lac-des-Loups, Quebec and the mastering was done by Jack Kosto who is most well-known for being the lead guitarist in power metal band Seven Spires.

This highly anticipated new release from FEED THEM DEATH represents the apex of a fierce and tenacious research into the realm of non-conformity, and the culmination of a 3 year long cycle of intense experimentation, deconstruction and remodeling of many extreme metal subgenres into a completely unique and dissonant outlet.

“Negative” is a monumentally ambitious example of unorthodoxy and noncompliance in extreme music, eccentrically fusing the aggressiveness and speed of grindcore with the bleak and menacing heaviness of sludge and doom metal, all set against a backdrop of industrial metal and the tearing frequencies of drone / noise music.

Denouncing the moral decline of our society's descent into darkness with paradoxical simplicity and clarity, “Negative” borrows from the opus of Theodor Adorno to dismantle the chimera of individuality and critical thinking within the cogwheels of consumerism.

An anathema spelt against the culture industry for standardizing all arts and forms of expression, and acknowledging with lancinating lucidity the disingenuousness of all so-called creative achievements - in arts as in underground music - as the mere part of a wider design set to tame individuality.

In perfect symbiosis with the music, the artwork is also raw and yet sophisticated, whimsical but austere, and lavishly minimalist: created by renowned Australian photographer Sophie Gabrielle, the image was photographed a manifold of times, with its negatives sunk in polluted water and then dried allowing microbes to eat away at the negative itself.

Similarly, “Negative” unfolds as a process of negative dialectics, a backdrop of negation set against the stage of the apparent world with the intent to finally make the invisible visible

FEED THEM DEATH is a solo project created by Void in 2017, with already 2 EPs and 3 full lengths under its belt, which were all released in under 4 years of activity.

The first EP was self-released in October 2017, containing 5 tracks that would have then been re-recorded and added to seven new songs to be part of the first full length “No Solution / Dissolution” out in November 2018 via GrimmDistribution and Exalted Woe Records.
