On December the 16th, the label Violence In The Veins will release Hecatoncheir’s debut album, Nightmare Utopia, on vinyl for the first time. The album, released last year only on CD via Total Dissonance Worship, made a sensation thanks to its intense negativity, forcefully crossing the fine line between madness and sanity through crunchy death metal, black metal, and sludge.

The Slovakian trio demonstrated their claustrophobic mastery of dissonance in this debut album, interspersing ominous atmospheres with moments of tense calm. Needless to say, it is the perfect breeding ground for dream cults, ancient deities and the cosmic horror into which Nightmare Utopia plunges us.

The worldwide underground scene never ceases to amaze us with extraordinary pieces, so Hecatoncheir’s first opus undoubtedly deserved to capture its dreads on vinyl.

SURGERY RELEASE "LIVING DEAD"

Surgery – Slovakia band that has been active in metal music for 25 years.  Its portfolio includes the EP Pulled by the rope and two albums Descent and Absorbing Roots.  The members of the band kept changing over the years, but the founder Rado Body was able to put together a strong line-up whose rhythm is set by drummer Sedrik, bassist Hrdza covers his back, and brutal vocals were taken care by Tomy.  These band members have recorded a new album,  Living Dead, in which OSDM mixes with other genres of metal are showing the world that Surgery band is stronger than ever.

The new album "Living Dead" was released on October 10, 2023 by Darker Than Darkness Records only for the Asian region, and in February 2024 by Great Dane rec. rest of the world edition.

Nonexistence brings new reign!

Well, at least that’s what I thought when I was writing this album 10 years ago. Breaking the binds of the boring reality, closing myself within my own world and by doing so, giving my Mislife a higher meaning.

Meaning outgrowing even the God himself. Squash him to a black hole, make an empty caricature of himself.

Or maybe not...

Nowadays, like an old worm, I dread looking out of my bubble. What if I suddenly found out that the world ’d been, in fact, quite fine. It is I, who is empty and boring?

I cannot give meaning to my being, within myself, in itself, by itself anymore.

I need others.

Others, whose Mislife is more interesting. Combine it with mine and thus move my work to a place where it should have been in the beginning.

The artist´s name is the name of the peak in the West Tatras mountain located in Slovakia and means a "darkman" (dark subject). Lyric is mostly based on Slovak dark folk/forest epic tales or poems of famous romantic poets of Slovakia (such like Samo Chalupka)

CONSTIPATION RELEASE "ALICA"

 

PRESS RELEASE:

Jozef „Dodi“ Košč, known mainly from Perversity, formed Constipation back in 1999. Twenty years later he decided to resurrect this grindcore ensemble and release their first official album entitled “Alica”. The material contains 14 songs and 28 minutes in death grind style. The songs are punchy and catchy. They are an ode to old school but with modern production values. A truly explosive mix!
